Well, I was a veteran who play Hearthstone for 3 years. Experiencing the meta when it had not been divided into Standard and Wild was so cool back then. Although Secret Pally and Midrange Shaman created their meta in the most annoying way, I can somehow counter them with Patron Warrior and Renolock. I reached Legend last month and decided to climb both this month. I was 3 in Standard and started in Wild yesterday from Rank 9. What I was shocked that at rank 9 and 8, people play various decks that totally standard: Odd Rogue, Odd Pally, Cubelock... It is all Standard material and no Wild cards involve. And from rank 7, things are worse when 7/10 matches are Aggro Mage. They shot Fireballs and Frostbolts without any thinking and targeted directly to face. I thought that "Wild was dead" is just a joke. Now I know what it truly means: Less creative decks, less thinking in the play and people want the least effort to win the match. I think I should play Minesweeper instead. :)
i switched back to standard a month or two before rotation. this was pre-naga nerf, so the meta was basically big priest, burn mage, nagalock, and whatever silly paladin. it was super gross. it seems like it's a bit better post-nerf, but i haven't played as much. i had a lot of fun at rank floors 15 and 10, lots of ridiculous and super greedy decks. i'd say the biggest problem with wild is barnes.
What are you talking about. Wild meta is much more diverse than standard right now. The only outstanding decks are variations of Even Shaman and they use 60%+ of wild only cards.

All cards are balanced, but some cards are more balanced than others.
Tried it, it doesn't really work that well. It's great if you can not die until you've drawn your entire deck, but if that doesn't happen, you just lose the game.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Hrm, I usually run into Big Priest, Combo Druid or Kingsbane/Mill rogue. All containing wild cards. I do see even shaman though.
You do have to remember that up until the most recent rotation, the cards in standard were much stronger than most of the wild-only cards. And the wild-only cards that did see play were one-ofs, not the defining cards in the deck, like Sludge Belcher or whatnot. That's changed now with the latest rotation.
I do feel that there are decks out there that could rock wild with some long-forgotten cards. Kel'Thuzad or Troggzor the Earthinator seem like they should be strong in the right deck, for instance. I just don't have the hours to spend to try them out and tweak them.
You're always going to see Standard decks in Wild because some people don't own Wild cards and don't want to craft any. Once they've ranked up in Standard, they probably just want to do the same in Wild, maybe just see how far they can get. Plus they may be stuck (or bored, or Legend already) in Standard, and want those juicy win streaks again.
Kind of annoying because the archetypes aren't even the same across the two formats for the most part, but you can't exclude them from an entire ladder; technically Standard cards are Wild too, so they actually have 30 Wild cards in their deck.

Nature is the Day. Man is the Sun. Woman is the Moon. The Stone is the Sky. The Art is the Way.
The only problem i see in Wild atm are Big Priests (highroll is unbearable) and Aggro Mage (seriously, where are all the Face Hunter haters now?).
But honestly i couldn't care less if others use full-blown Standard decks in Wild. The benefit of Wild is the wider set for myself and my deckbuilding.
I've been playing intermittently at Rank 15/14 in NA Wild. I am playing a Reno N'zoth Priest deck. Most of the opponents I see are Big Priest or Demon Warlock. I eat them up.
There are occasionally aggro decks, and then it's a coin toss.
Dude play more wild xd a see everything now...even shaman, shudder shaman, aggro shaman, odd pally, big priest, otk priest, inner fire priest, renolock, zoolock, maly druid, token druid, togwaggle druid, jade druid, jade shaman, aggro mage, reno mage, even handlock, mill rogue, odd rogue, face hunter, cube hunter, taunt druid, controll warrior, reno priest...etc.. There are many viable decks in wild that people are playing... Xd you just need to play more games and you will see...yes one day i faced like 5 paladins and 3 shamans but nex day i saw like everything lol
The wild meta is fairly diverse but the standard meta is really diverse right now. There's about 20 popular archetypes with none being chosen more than 6%. Enjoy it until the next broken set of decks comes along.
I’ve climbed from 25 to 15 this month with a crazy secret king toggle rogue deck. It’s been pretty easy to do well with a weird deck because I have a nice advantage of using some really helpful wild cards and my opponents barely use any.
Part of it was power creep, but part of it is also people being hesitant to craft for wild. They make a new standard card, it works for all formats, but Wild is limited in its use.
I climbed from rank 25-20 with a homebrew tiger n'zoth (yes ik I speak bout it a ton) and just stopped it at there. Really should try and climb higher and see how far I get with it
uhmm i find a lot of Paladins (in all flavors, from aggro Murloc Paladin to Secret Murloc Paladin to Anyfin can hapen Paladin and there was that guy who was running that Odd Paladin Murloc deck...yeah... i was just as confused as you reading this now) some Cubelocks, Taunt Druids and Big Priests here and there, but the highlight of my Wild ladder experience is a massive massive massive amount of togwaggle azalina Druids...which i don't mind tbh it was about time we had a different win condition in the game.

Agree, trying to climb from rank 18 in wild to 12 is just standard decks, it's so boring and annoying... I play renokus mage btw
Skidaddle skidoodle your Milhouse manastorm is now a noodle

Just play Reno Shudderwock.
Hey. =)
Let Wild meta be the only horrible thing you'll ever experience in this beautiful life.

Join me at Out of Cards!
I've had some decent variety in wild matchups between rank 7-9. Many off-meta decks. Hasn't always been the case but I was excited to see it.

I stay far FAR away from wild. Good riddance to cards like Yogg and Reno! HATE those cards and glad to never have to see them again!

Wild meta for me is The classical Karazhan Secret Mage with addition of Alluneth <3 Simply magnificient
