Fun decks are actually easier and better to craft with some wild cards, often commons or rares. Say casino mage and Steal Priest. You won't have to craft much for max fun. To my surprise, right after the last rotation, most of the decks I play on my two f2p accounts (regions/servers) are now "Wild" decks, it was easiest to add a few earlier wild cards and keep 'em Wild. I didn't expect that to happen.
Why would you wanna get into wild? I just disenchanted my golden Ragnaros and Sylvanas realizing i have a fortune in dust just spending time in my collection (since i wasn´t playing wild).
Sure there are times in late season where standard can feel stale but thats when you can always go for legend on a new region or so some arenas.
My suggestion would be to just go for a new class instead ( lately i started watching Kibler stream and boy he plays with cards i never even seen in standard and it looks super fun!!) I´m on the verge of disenchanting my whole wild collection and instead go play some kibler meme decks (like his recruit warr or maybe Tess rogue)
DEing all of wild means you’re eliminating any possibility of playing many decks in wild ever again. You mention playing Tess Rogue yet some of the best cards for it (Squidface, Ethereal Peddler, Swash, Huckster, Shaku) are all wild. That’s my #1 most played deck and I’d hate to have to stick to just playing a crippled version in standard. Sure, DE the golden legendaries since you get an equal dust return on them, but getting rid of commons and rares means there’s no turning back. And in my opinion, wild is generally more enjoyable (except for all the rez priests).
Best way to get into wild is going to be to wait for Doomsday Project to come out and then build Mech Mage. It's cheap, quick and effective already, and now we're getting a whole set dedicated to making Mechs more powerful.
I got into playing more Wild recently. The first 10 pack guaranteed Legendary didn't work, when I bought packs of Goblins vs Gnomes and The Grand Tournament. I was expecting it to work like other expansions, but I didn't get any Legendaries in the first 10 packs. I enjoy playing Wild so ended up buying more packs, but I just have to give a warning that opening the first 10 packs might not work as expected for older sets.
Wild is really fun as long as you don’t run into a bunch of Reno fuckers. That card makes wild sort of lame, but if you’re lucky enough to play against players who aren’t obsessed with he flavor of the month or 2-3x Reno it’s quite the experience. Buying adventures is best.

Easy answer: Make Mech Mage/Aggro Mage.
Fun answer: Make Krulzakas Warlock or Aviana/Kun/Malygos Druid
