"I still have an opinion that nerfs won't shake the meta in Wild" Dude stop, this is embarassing... Naga Sea Witch have dictated the meta for such a long time of course it will have an impact in wild.
You know what is truly embarassing? Not realising that meta won't change besides Giantlock becoming Tir 2 or 3 deck. Paladin still have access to some broken cards to Wild. Call to Arms will be still strong in Wild, Cubelock still has Voidlcallers here, Barnes is still around, Aluneth Mage remains untouched and list goes on and on. Druid remains untouched. Stop insulting me for having my own opinion and calling it embarassing. 1 deck vanishing from Wild doesn't mean that whole meta will change. If you don't believe me look at Raza and Patches nerf. ;)
But you are misunderstanding something: it's not about destroying decks, it's about making them weaker. Making them weaker makes spaces for other decks. Midrange does not really exist in wild because of giantslock. With it gone, midrange will finally rise again (and Zoolock is a midrange-deck for example). And no, i don't see Giantslock being around Tier 2 at all. Simply because they are bad at Turn 8. Not that this is a strong combo, but until turn 8 you have some giants in your deck that you can't play out otherwise. Maybe you can put up 1-2 giants, but they can be easily dealed with. Some Giants will probably not survive it like Clockwork Giant and Sea Giant. They are far too slow there. And with only a few giants i doubt it's even worth it to play on turn 8. Beside this, board clears that are already strong against Giants get stronger and others like Twisting Nether will now be useful too.
No, Giants on turn 8 will not work, simply because too many classes has either a board clear that can deal with it or kill you before turn 8.
About Big Priest: they have already a big counter deck that can deal easily with Big Priest. Rogue on the other hand will benefit from everything.
Still: there are some decks that got pretty oppressed from the whole Cube/Giants thing like Zoolock. So i have absolutely NO idea how the meta will change in wild.
No one mention about Big Briest and Kings Bane Rogue, what do you think about these 2 decks after the nerf? All their key cards are untouched.
Big Priest is not that oppresive as you think. I'm beating them on regular basis with 3 Reno decks and also Malygos Druid. The only case when I lose is when they highroll Barnes into Y'Shaarj on turn 4 or 3 with coin. That is still broken af. Besides that it can't highroll that much and you can exhaust them if you spend your resources carefully. (For an example make their Psychis Scream useless by holding N'Zoth. Wait for them to play fully updated Spellstone and then play N'Zoth so they won't Psychic Scream your board)
Kingsbane Rogue is still not oppresive. As long as is there 1 aggro deck viable, Kinsgbane Rogue won't go up to Tier 1 and will still remain ve a Tier 2 deck. Even some control decks have chances against it. Arcibishop Benedictus alone cockblocks their whole mill plan and forces them to play control game (and Control Priest varriations have the best Control builds available)

Im not misuderstanding anything. I do realise that it is to make the decks weaker. But I also realise that Paladin has Shielded Minibot and Muster for Battle in Wild, Warlock has Voidcallers,Malganis,Sylvannas and N'Zoth, Druids are untouched and so on and on. Yes some deck archetypes might be weaker but they are still pretty powerfull.
Giants might still work simply because of the fact how powerfull is demon package,Warlock boardclears and simply card draw. Also putting potentially 1 Giant per turn from turn 4 to 8 is still good. Thats why I said they might be Tier 2 or 3. And highroll on Turn 8 might still be powerfull because not everyone can deal with it. For example Mage has only Frost Nova+Doomsayeranswer for this and Doomsayer can be killed with fully updated spellstone or spellstone+Dark Bomb.
Now about Midrange decks. I simply do not understand, why so many people are saying that there is no Midrange in Wild. There is literally Tier 1 midrange deck (Even Shaman) and 2 Tier 2 decks (OTK Dragon Priest and Midrange Hunter). Even Shaman has over 66% winrate according to HSreplay which makes this deck definitelly strong. OTK Priest while rellying on OTK comboes still can put up a fight because of his powerfull class dragons and Midrange Hunter is good ol Hunter with Hyenas and Highmanes which are still both powerfull. Thats 3 good Midrange decks so yeah, Midrange is not dead. It just simply evolved so it can beat opponent with a highroll of Gaints.
About Zoolock. Zoolock is not opressed by Giant decks. Zoolock is oppresed by Paladin decks,Aluneth Tempo decks and Control decks. The biggest problem of Zoolock is that when he loses board, he doesn't return on the board easily compared to Paladin (Especially Dude Paladin which is almost untouched by the nerfs). While he has his hero power it is simply not that good in Control matchups compared to Paladins Divine Favor. While he has Doomguards, Paladin can play Sunkeeper on next turn and benefit from it no matter what while not discarding 2 cards. Paladin has also one of the strongest 2 drops in the game (Shielded Minibot). Now if we compare Zoolocks vs Control deck. What powerfull turn can Zoolock have against Control? I do agree that Zoolock can have some snowballing comboes with Eggs and Sanguiner or that 3 mana 1/5 but besides that he is not doing anything powerfull in mid game or late game. Reno decks can deal with far agressice decks, Druids are now gaining more Armor than Warrior and Posion Seeds+Spreading Plague is devastating. And I'm not even talking about how much card draw and Ramp they can have way earlier compared to other classes. Damn, even nerfed Cubelock will satill be a thing thanks to Voidcallers,Malganis and Deathrattle package so it will still be doinf far more powerfull turns than Zoolock. So my point is, if we want Zoolock to be viable we need to erase some of its weaknesses but it is pretty hard because compared to other decks, Zoolock is not that great.
Keleseth Zoo is tier 3, with a turn 2 Keleseth it can snowball out of control.
Other Zoo are tier 4-5, not "top competitive" but very much playable.
Zoo is amazing because this is the most diverse archetype (Egg Void Terror Zoo, Standard Zoo, Flood Zoo with Gormok, Buff Zoo with Blood Fury, Keleseth Zoo, Glinda Keleseth Zoo...).
In an ideal world, there are 50 archetypes in tier 1 lol.
So I've started playing ladder again after the new ladder reset system, I thought worth giving a shot and I have more time to play. I used to reach Legend or at least rank 5 every season for the last 2 years. But I didn't bother to climb rank 5 for the last 4 months since Kobold release. Mainly because of variation of Big Priest, Cubelock and King's Bane Rogue are too overpowered this time around and I doesn't like playing popular deck like everyone is just playing the same.
What I found here, it reminds me the time when everyone is playing secret Paladin, if you cant beat it join it kind of situation. Do any of you feel the same? Do you think Big Priest, Cube/Giantlock and King's Bane Rogue are the problem? I understand that you can have 100% win rate with these 3 decks against the other deck that have 0 chance to win, its just impossible to beat them unless you play one of these 3 decks or a mirror match and see who draws better.
Why Im saying its a problem, because Big Priest and Cube/Giantlock are technically a control deck, but they can beat the ass out of you on turn 6 if they high rolled correctly, its a winning condition that have never exist before and Kings bane rogues is almost immortal on late game. Whats your thoughts?
Actually if you can’t beat them create a new deck that you can beat them that’s why we are in wild we have too many variations
As long there is a competitive aspect there will be a meta, it's easy as that. Expecting no competition in wild is plain ignorant, what do you expect, to see the same fun decks at rank 15 as at rank 5? Come on now ... Some people only play to win and copy paste the netdecks. Can't blame the game for that. I'm perfectly happy playing my fun decks between rank 15 and 10. Don't come here complaining about netdeckers at the top of the ladder.
I have not played Wild seriously but I feel like i am missing out by not playing some decks on standard. For example I did not craft and didn't play Elise #2 for example , I feel like that once it rotates out I will only be able to use it in Wild and then it might not be good. I feel like, " oh if I do not use this card now and make use of it now, I will not use it later and it will die". Even if I want to craft a card or something. Do you guys really feel like Wild is just like Blizz saying fine go use your old cards there or whatever. Like I said I feel bad because if you do not use a certain deck now in standard which might be really good, top tier, once it moves to wild it will be tier 2, 3 or 4 and not be able to compete at all. I doubt it but Blizz should make a Super wild (all cards), middle standard (standard + maybe 3 sets) and standard (as is now) .
