I have been playing this game for over 4 years now, it was a great journey, i found many in-game friends since then and it was the first game that sucked me into the world of CCGs.
There was a lot of ups and downs since 2013/2014, many problems with the game occured, but blizzard made a good job balancing it and kept the game updated. Sure, i miss the old days of control warrior with lots of armor and handlock with its big moltens and mountains, but when they introduced formats i was in the vast majority of playerbase that wanted to stay in standard.
Back then, after the initial release date, 2 months before the rotation, my thoughts were uncertain because i wanted to stay where the majority is, but knowing sylvanas, ragnaros and drake are rotated to wild i felt sad. After the year of kraken kicked off, i didn't think of wild format anymore, basically i've never tried it since then. The variations in the standard meta were huge, lots of aggro, lots of combo, then after some time control meta returned, but then it all became aggro again :/
To be honest i am not mad with seeing the dominance of priest, rogue, warlock and mage in standard, but i am mad that there is no variety in decklists, you keep just facing the same and the same decks out there and the game becomes dull. And till now i thought about changing the format, so i gave it a try, and holy moly - was that a good decision! I started to build my old-time favorites like handlock. At first it didn't work out very well, but then i've remembered the naga sea witch change, and have built the most greediest deck out there, that whistands aggro, midrange and control at the same time. I am having a blast with this deck. As of today 27.01.2018, for couple of hours i've piloted the deck from rank 25 to rank 5*** with winrate over 86%. I will try to reach legend with it if i can manage.
So all in all the decision i've made was a good one and i can honestly say that i will stay in wild for some time and spend less time in standard. Maybe i will return when there is some more diversive meta and all classes with at least 2-3 deck types will become viable. Untill then my adventure begins anew in the wild format, and i think everyone should give it a try! Trust me, they say the game becomes fresh after rotations - i assure you, the game has never been so fresh as it is in wild :). It is a shame that i didn't switch formats earlier, but after 4 years.
Well done, don't know why more people don't play Wild. Tons of different decks and if you're good you can hit 5 rank with almost anything. I play mostly deathrattle egg hunter and love it.

I like wild better too although most of the good and fun decks cost waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy too much dust for me to ever be able to afford. So I'm mostly just stuck playing variants of standard decks with a few wild cards added in.

Standard is only good for about a month or two after each expansion. When the meta settles I usually finish out the month but then I go back to my C’Thun N’Zoth Quest Priest in Wild and I’m happy again.
I dusted most of my Wild Cards except the good Legendaries. I think it's fun and I go there for quests sometimes when I don't want to lose rank in Standard. It makes more sense when you want to record wins for Golden heroes.
Wild is more fun, you can run into all sorts creative decks, certainly up to around rank 7. After that, in my experience, you start seeing certain decks a lot more often and a lot of ship's cannon. But rank 7 is better than rank 14, which is where the same sort of problem starts with standard.
I moved back to playing mostly standard after Kripp spammed wild with his army of OTK druids. OTK druid used to be my jam since Kun came out and I loved it because it was an unique yet surprisingly competitive deck. Now that it stopped being edgy, I've moved on to non-highlander Raza Hemet priest with my new golden Memedictus in standard
Honestly, I don't care about either format nor what others are playing as long as I can play the decks I want in their best forms. You're probably loving wild because you've never tried it. Enjoy it while you can. After a few seasons, it'll be as interesting as standard
While there is wild's share of staleness in ranked (more so the higher ranks) there is so much more freedom in what you can build to ladder up with in wild than casual. And, quite frankly, I feel that burnout on the game happens much more often in standard than wild for precisely this reason. If you don't currently enjoy the top tier decks in standard wild there are only so many other quirky home brew decks you have as an option to play instead.
Stupid ass secret paladin which made me quit the first time is in wild
Nobody plays Secret Paladin in Wild
Except I played against one...which is why I made the post
Dude, did you heard its 2018? Secret paladin is NOT played anymore for the simple fact that its not good enough anymore. And if you met one, feel lucky, it is very, very rare. But i guess thats enough for some people to quit... LOL!

Yeah I got you. Standard can be a very repetitive and toxic place.
(Please use sections next time. Was horrible to read :D)

And like stakeholder said, paragraphs please!
Indeed, i still don't understand why Wild is so overlooked by the vast majority of players.
As if Standard was any more balanced or less cancerous!
One can even start with Standard decks, and refine or adjust with Wild cards in time.
Welcome to the Jungle bro.
You've convinced me! Glad to have come across your post.
Welcome to Wild. Hope you enjoy your stay! ^^

everyone's got to start somewhere ;)
Only real reason why is wild "overlooked" is that most of the people don't have the cards to play it.
And yes, wild is absolutely superior.

I always played and enjoyed both ladders
Top deck is cheat
You quit in wild because you play against one secret paladin? wp ...
From 25 to 8 i met razza priests or void warlocks that i can count on one hand... on other side so many fun and unpredictable decks around r10
Definitelly will not switch to standard until next expansion
