Putting Lightbomb in your Priest or Brawl in your Control Warrior deck is no "heavy tech".
The combo is overrated, after people realize that, there will be less Naga-Giants and the problem fixes itself even more. Till this happen, just play aggro or control.
So... your opponent dropping a 5/5 and 3 8/8s on turn 5 without you being able to do anything about it is fun and/or interactive?
You can do something about it. Please read the thread! Rush your enemy down or just clear the board on turn 6. This is for sure no rocket science. -.-
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.
I started playing with beta, and that's was not what I signed for when I spent money on that game. I expected instead they will try to keep some kind of balance that rewarded skills and that my cards didn't end up being only usable in a joke-modality. These "best combinations" you talk about often involve RNG and close-to-zero skills and make me really wonder why I haven't yet dusted my non-standard cards...
Considering what you just said this is close enough to a response I posted in another thread namely "How do I get better at RNG". Click on that if you want to go straight to it but that's essentially my response to you.
But also add that you didn't buy into the future of the game when you spent money during the beta, you spent money on the game because you liked the direction it was going at that point. If you don't like where Hearthstone is going, then don't play Hearthstone...
Oh and furthermore on the balance concerns about Wild... its impossible to balance a format that will have access to every single card ever made in Hearthstone's history and that's inherently what Wild is supposed to be so... unless you are willing to tell Blizzard "You know these cards that I want to play with and enjoy playing with? Yah', could you remove these entirely from the game and give me back 1/4th of their dust value?"...
That's also probably why you haven't dusted those cards. If not... why play something you aren't enjoying?
Thanks, but I think you misunderstood. I am not against RNG. I am against RNG that creates huge swing that decide the game without leaving space for skill. As an extreme example, a card that cost 10 mana and reads something like "33% you win the game, 66% you lose the game", which in fact it would be like a simplified and straightforward version of Yogg.
Also, I know very well that it's impossible to balance a mode where cards keeps coming in, but what pisses me off is that they are not even trying.
Why I keep the cards? Well, probably is a collecting thing and a small hope that someday they make some fixes. And no, I don't enjoy much that mode at the moment and I don't play it. I play standard instead.
Naga-Giants is not op. You got rushed down by aggro decks most of the time (for example by Aggro Druid or PW) and your power turn 5 can be strong countered by a lot of things: Lightbomb, Potion + Shadow Word Horror (yes 3 giants got killed in on of my games by SWH)

I played a quest / secret aggro hunter in wild for a while, i think i faced 4 of this giants decks and won all of them. You just need to pressure them down and win before their combo.
i mean, if my meme deck can obliterate them, then almost everything can.

Because 8-3=2?
Because 8 - 3 x2 = 2 (He used 2x Potion + Horror)
cmon dude, u need to have 5 mana + coin or if he coined out the naga+giants on 4 what do u do on 5? 2x potion and sw is 6 mana ... lightbomb is 6 mana ... only paladin has a true "answer"to this: pyro+eq at 4 mana but he needs both cards ... mby druids should start running that 4 mana destroy and replace with 2/2 treants card, but wait, that ALSO doesn't rly clear the board and is USELESS against aggro.
pls don't defend this broken ass exploit
What do you do on turn 5, when he played Naga with coin on turn 4? Play Shadow Word Death, get beaten in the face on his next turn and then remove the rest of his board with Lightbomb. Cmon dude, it is not like you have to auto-concede, when the Naga-Giants come into play. If he can't kill you on his Naga turn and you can clear his board it's a won game for you most of the time. Pls don't act like this cheese is op in any way and think about, how you can counter it.
And not only Pala have a true answer: Doomsayer + Frost Nova kills all in one turn, 8 attack minion + shadowflame too (4 attack minion + POW + Flame or Mountain Giant + Flame). Brawl doesn't clear all, but it clears enough stuff. One giant on turn 6 it nothing which kills a Control Warrior on its own.
Or play the deck for yourself and have fun get beaten down by most aggro decks on turn 5-6. You giants matter nothing, when you just die the turn, the Naga hits the board.

Bruh even if the changes towards Naga Sea Witch were meant to happen, or if wild is supposed to have an unhealthy metagame, TheGiants deck is definetly still horrendous to play against.
1. It all comes down to RnG, whether if you can remove multiple 8/8s by turn 5, or just die because the opponent drew half his whole deck by turn 5 (which I have seen multiple times with giant hunter/warlock). It also promotes fierce aggressive play (like pirate warrior and face hunter) by a lot, to the point that playing against a giants deck is basically deciding on a coin flip if you win the game.
2. It worsens midrange decks by a huge lot, as they do not have the removal to deal with the giants unlike control, nor have the aggression to smorc them down by turn 5, which is kind of oppressive.
Trust me, if you want to play wild BECAUSE of Naga Giants, once you go against them in ranked AND casual, you will regret playing wild again lmao, and this is coming from a wild player since MsoG arrived.
Thanks to this deck(s), I've just come to realization that this game, especially wild now - is all about having crazy BS things that freaking WRECK your opponent. It's not about having a normal balanced game now. You just play like 40/40+ worth of stats on t5 out of the blue/SMOrc by t5/ramp to UI at t4/Highroll the shit out of your opponent with Big Priest and such/get lucky to get boardclears, survive and draw Reno vs aggro/draw Raza and Anduin before your opponent/laugh at slow decks while playing exodia/Jade druid when geist is rarely even usable even if in their deck etc.
Now there's a question: where's the fun in that? All these strategies are ultra one-dimensional, and after playing hundreds of games lately, I've found that all of my games come to a simple thing: who rolls higher. It's no longer about 50/50 on Rag shots, it's now about the whole strategies, and that is sad. Sure you can have some fun while exploring these decks, but after a while it gets repetitive and you realise that having a broken game is not that good of an experience after all.

Every class can play the Naga-Giants-Combo or have counters to it. So the combo is totally fine. It's hyped at the moment, but soon people will see, it's overrated.
If someone meets a lot of this decks, just play a fast aggro deck and kill you enemy by turn 5-6, then thier Naga-Combo is useless.
Uhhhhhhh SWH doesn't kill a board of 8/8s unless you waste both Pint Sized Potions to do it.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.

Counters run in almost any deck:
Priest: Lightbomb, (Anduin)
Mage: Frostnova + Doomsayer, Blizzard
Warrior: Brawl
Pirate Warrior: jk, they are already dead by turn 6
Druid: Spreading Plague, Poisonous Minions (DK)
Paladin: Equality + Consecrate/Pyro
Hunter: kill their hero
Shaman: Bloodlust
Every game I played against this deck, they dropped the combo on turn 3 or 4, due to ramps, coin, and/or innervate. Also, if you deal any damage to them before, that's 2 more giants they can drop. The only real answer is Paladin, and has someone who has always mained Pally, I can say you're not going to win a lot of games if you're depending on equality/pyro on turn 4.

It is not a waste, because you win the game this way. (And yes, Lightbomb is a better way to remove the giants.)

It is not a problem. Brode said that data shows the rise in the deck but that it isn't a problem. Don't reflect your personal opinion/experience on the entire ladder.
and if i don't wanna play hands spewing, face pummeling decks?
Than this is just your own problem!
"Oh, my deck A get beaten by deck B and only deck C, D, E, F, G and H can counter deck A. Blizz nerf deck A, because I only want to play my deck B and refuse to play a counter to the deck I want to be nerfed!"

I don't have Molten Giants and Nagas. Do you think I can craft them and the deck won't be nerfed?
People were like "Come to wild, there's much more deck diversity, and it's much more fun" so Blizzard took care of that.
Release the Kraken!

Paper is fine, nerf Rock. Sincerely, Scissors.
Kaladin's RoS Set Review
Join me at Out of Cards!
I've yet to lose to a giant deck, but i think they probably bricked hard. I don't think those decks are that good, they're quite luck reliant.
Hell I'm going to try these decks out - seems fun.
"wild is such a fun place, soon all the standard players will migrate to wild once they realize how fun it is"
I tried having fun once. It was awful.
Than this is just your own problem!
