Why aren't you running grim patron on your list? Seems like a perfect fit into your decklist.
I would rather use the whirlwind effects in the early/mid game to take board control rather than getting an army of patrons. Not saying they would be bad in here (i've run into a very similar deck running patrons), but it's not really how I play the deck. I could use this as a shell for a future patron deck tho.
There's a midrange Warrior deck out there? I thought you could only go super aggro or ultra fatigue with Warrior, neither of which ever interested me.
There certainly is. It doesn't see play too often, but it's quite good. The deck is pretty great at controlling the early game through weapons and whirlwind effects and can push a lot of damage in the midgame. Try my deck out and let me know what you think of it. Discussions are usually much better after people have tried the deck out and gotten a feel for it
I was looking at your list and I don't have most of the legendaries (Ragnaros the Firelord being the sole exception). I have plenty of dust, but don't want to craft a ton of stuff for a single deck that I'm not sure I'll even enjoy playing. Which one would you say is the most essential? Grommash Hellscream? I have some other powerful cards that I could sub in to see how they work - I'm thinking Loatheb, Sylvanas Windrunner or Dr. Boom, and Kel'Thuzad. (I really want to make a deck with KT; I haven't seen him played in so long!)
Deaths bite is a better card, but fools bane does look like a string addition for midrange. I think bite is still preferred, mostly because it is versatile. They both have merit, but fools bane looks a little specific

grom is most important. he can either trade really well or he can be used for lethal. lotheb would be fine, same with boom. not sure on KT, but i don't see how he could be bad, we dont run any bad minions. syl is okay, i ran her before i crafted cairne, but i think there are better options, you want to be ahead on board by turn 6 with this deck. Arch-Thief Rafaam could be a decent replacement for any of the big drops as well. either flood board with zombies or 10/10 to push lethal if u have something on board.
the nice thing about Grom is he can be used in just about any warrior deck. ive even seen a few pirate warriors running it as a second finisher
/edit: ooze for harrison is perfectly fine. we have a lot of draw capability in the deck with battle rage where he is just a luxury

I'm currently running 1 of each right now. Fool's Bane is just so good vs zoo and paladin/hunter decks that go wide if you have the armor/hp to tank it. turn 5 and completely wipe zoo off the board without losing anything on your side can just be game winning on its own. i removed Whirlwind for bite, but i think maybe it's better than Blood To Ichor at just wiping tokens out, especially with paladin seeing a lot of play right now. though ichor into a minibot or argent squire is just amazing or as an execute trigger that gives u a decent minion as well
Varian is bad, I would drop him asap and as someone else suggested, add at least 1 patron.
Blood to ichor is meh, I'd rather play slam instead.
I went with -ichor + bite. Varian is GREAT in a deck like this. I only have a few battlecry minions in the entire deck so he is straight value town if i get alley armorsmith, cairne, rag, grom, frothing, kor'kron, armorsmith or shredder. even if i dont get any minions i still draw 3 (i dont really have any bad spells most of the time except battle rage) and get a decent body. I would rather do that then play a single card and armor up in pretty much any situation
i really havent found that to be necessary. i have yet to be in a situation where face tanking a bunch of damage has directly led to me losing a game. Yet another easy game vs pirate warrior..
I think you are understimating the tempo swing a weapon like Death's Bite provides. Whirlwind (the spell) leaves you with one card less, and you are not even guaranteed to clear bigger minions. Death's Bite on the other hand clears every 4 and 5 mana minion in Wild, so actually gives you card advantage. On top of that, it has huge synergy with Frothing, Battle Rage,Grom, Armorsmith, Acolyte of Pain, Execute, Patron etc.
Honestly I think it's one of the most broken card in the game and you should run two copies in every Warrior deck.
currently running 1 death's bite, i think 5 weapons would be overkill and increase the odds of clogging my hand. whirlwind (the spell) is great in the early game since the majority of the meta is aggro right now. It can also be used as a combo activator for huge unexpected burst damage with frothing and a grom trigger. There are times where it is a dead draw, I will agree on that, but overall it is just too useful to be considered bad.

Forgive me, friend. I have failed.

-1 whirlwind
+1 Death's bite

Death's Bite + Grom is a 2 turn 2 card 18 damage that's very hard to prevent
Have you thought about comboing Fool's Bane with Violet Illusionist?
