Just think of one thing, in the next standard rotation The Grand Tournament, Blackrock Mountain and League of Explorers will rotate out and also these 6 classic cards will be moved too:
So, dont you think that going to Wild when you can play with like, "ALL YOUR CARDS" including your favourite ones like the ones that you got spending a lot of money and/or grinded a lot of time is the better option for this year?
"As part of ongoing communication with the WoW developers, it has been agreed that Hearthstone is now the official source of WoW lore. We hope you look forward to seeing Ragnaros, Lightlord in Legion!"
Standard will still be more popular, since that's the mode Blizzard is pushing for the most. And yes, Blizzard endorsement in terms of advertisements and tournaments do matter, a lot.
Wild will always be this gentleman's club, where only the rich (people with a lot of cards), old (by HS terms) men and women play.

I don't know if only the rich would be allowed I mean a lot of players play since closed beta and a lot are F2P but play since 2014's.

But if Standard continues being this unbalanced endless stream of similar decks, I wouldn't be surprised to see more and more people there. Heck, when I moved to Wild, I ran into the same people often because there wasn't anyone else. Now, I am surprised if it happens even once.
Maybe Standard isn't the immortal mode that everyone claimed it would be. But there will always be people that will prefer it because of their collections, or their mistake of dusting old cards.

I like your opinion, is more balanced than mine lol.
Your last sentense is real tho; for those people with small collections that just started the game or the ones that disenchanted a lot of their wild cards when the first rotation was announced standard will be their best place to play.

If they have a lot of cards, they are considered rich, regardless of whether they bought them, grinded a lot for them, or infinite arena their way to them.

People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
I played a lot of wild the past few months because standard was boring, but now I'm playing a lot more standard because of the variety of decks that are available. I'll probably go back to some fun wild decks I built in a few weeks but I'm enjoying standard right now.
Blizzard has no incentive to ensure that new cards are balanced in the context of the cards that have rotated out of standard. Wild will probably become progressively less balanced as new sets are released.
I will play standard as long as I will be able to keep up with the expansions as f2p. Normally I focus on wild until I can build few meta decks. Then ... I focus on wild anyway. Also, I prioritize my crafts concerning Wild playability. Unless Wild becomes completely broken, playing this will be always more rad option due to deck variety.
MSoG seems like a highly synergistic expansion - you can't just drop 3 or 4 cards into your deck and hope it works. If Blizz keeps it that way, Standard will not be more newbie-friendly than Wild.

Playing Hearthstone in German solely for Garrosh sounds. Sieg oder Tod!
Probably not, but i think theres always gonna be more and more people slowly atleast trying out wild as time goes on. I think the reasin Wild isn't played is because how hard it is to get old cards, they have to be crafted creating a huge barrier to new players like it did for me. I would've played Wild months earlier if i could've just bought GvG packs. I eventually crafted some Wild cards that i liked though, but not everyone playing for free/near free is ready to do this. Not being able to get Wild cards with gold or even money is the most retarded thing in the entire game.
Wild may seem fun at the higher ranks. Standard is often more fun at higher ranks too.
Once you hit the Secret Paladin train you will change your mind really quick. Wild Games only go past turn ten if your deck is ultra tech'd to survive.
Look at the wild meta decks over on Tempo Storm. They are in only two camps. The most aggressive deck you can possibly make, and the most control deck you can possibly make.
Wild will gain more players as time goes by, anyone with a brain could tell you that. The player base is just so large that it's bound to happen with people increasing their card collections. It will not become more popular than Standard due to the fact that Blizzard is not choosing to monetize it (no "Wild" card packs), and also that Wild's balance is IMO an extremely low priority for Blizzard. That's extremely problematic for the format. They already take ages to do balance/nerfs in Standard (6 months), and I honestly don't see them ever doing a Wild specific balance patch - ever.
But at each attempt I realised I miss too many cards to play there.
Also, I'm afraid madness is beyond my bearing there, I mean, my hate for Dr. Boom is still brimming, and I feel I lack control over the game there, because of too many things with the potential to get out of hand.

i play both, i usually play standard for the first few months of an xpac then switch to wild when the decks and matchups become mundane. but yes im sure everyone will miss league of exploreres, it was by far our best xpac in hearthstone. but i dont think it will make wild more popular, i mean you have a large majority of hs players that only have 1 or 2 cheap decks crafted like pirate warrior and midrange shaman. wild is more for the old school players
Standard will be boring after the rotation? During the time of Old Gods and the first Standard rotation, I had the most fun I've ever had in Hearthstone. People were experimenting for months and I always played and faced new decks.
The only thing that concerns me at this point is that Pirate Warrior doesn't lose a single card in the rotation. It looks like it will be the aggro staple for more than a year, which is pretty concerning considering how strong it is.

My custom cards thread here (53 cards)

I've been tempted to migrate to wild many times.

So no, Wild won't become more popular until players manage at least to collect a decent number of wild staples, such as Sludge Belcher, Piloted Shredder, possibly Kel'Thuzad, Dr. Boom etc.
Problem is that Wild Staples set increases with the passing of new expansion and rotations.

I will still play both, no matter what happens
Sup
Yeah sorry I forgot to add the option "both" in the poll lol
I don't have any interest in Wild. Perhaps when the BRM and LoE nostalgia hits me... Some damn good cards are gonna go away.
