I don't think Wild mode is easier to play, it is just that people are less serious about competing with Aggro decks (aka Face and Zoo), and it is more fun to see a diversity of classes in Wild, including Priest.
It is based on numbers, people playing both modes normally reach more ranks in wild mode. For my experince I do not know, because only play standard, but I assure you that is harder. I used to reach rank 5 and now only reach 8 at most.
It's easier, because there's no pros in wild. In standard you have to play against pros.
Hahahahaha.

Look, I want to tell you something because you're very dear to me. And I hope you understand that it comes from the bottom of my damaged, damaged heart. You are the finest piece of ass I've ever had and I don't care who knows it. I am so glad that I got to roam those hillsides.
Your right, I am happy I don't have to play Challenger/Agro Shaman decks all day. Very healthy format /s
Yea, in standard you can play against such healthy decks as: "used-to-be-control-now-i-go-face-zoolock", aggro shamans, aggro warriors, and aggro (midrange lol) hunters. Super healthy.
No one plays wild. It's garbage. The fact they didn't make any buffs/nerfs for the format to me meant they didn't give a crap about the format.
Difference between formats isn't yet huge, but after couple years Wild is clearly more healthy format than Standard. They will print more tech cards and with all the tech cards in Wild, the format is selfbalancing as opposed to Standard, which is still balanced by Blizzard. If deck threatens to become too dominant in Wild people will use proper tech cards to fight against it. In Standard people will wait, Blizzard does something. Selfbalancing format will be more balanced format than Blizzard balanced format, because Blizzard is Blizzard. Another reason why climbing Wild is easier than climbing Standard is, because there's more diverse meta More diverse meta means, games are less repeative. That means you can play more, before you get bored. More games means it's more time to climb.
Basically title, whenever i talk about wild people say that's easier to get rank 5.legend and etc because you can use "OP" cards.
I think it's because people treat wild less seriously or something. At least in wild priest isn't dead.
I think there aren't as many tryhards, but I don't think it makes it any easier.

Not so many tryhards? I may take my steals priest to wild then..

"I dream and the world trembles"
I tried it once, two season ago, it's easier. Most people in wild have garbage decks.
