I'm jaded... Just lost to the dumbest deck ever in Wild. Also ashamed for it...
T2 the Priest coins Silithid Swarmer (stares at the screen, blinking to check if it was a dream), next turn he gets down Ancient Watcher (starts to suspect what's coming). Bang, Defender of Argus between them (loses all my board and an Execute to break the wall). Priest then gets down a Cabal Shadow Priest stealing my Frothing Berserker. I start to cry. Next turn he Holy Nova's my board. Next one he gets down Eerie Statue and another Argus between them, Berserker is already at 15 attack. Priest Silences his statue and pounds my ass with a 18/3 Berserker and a 7/7 silenced Statue...
That's effing awesome. The whole "silencing your own big minions with bad effects" is a cool concept to me. It's also always good to see people trying out different kinds of decks outside of the cookie cutter ones.
Really weird that on turn 2 he coined out a 3 mana minion then on turn 3 he played a 2 mana minion, unless it was a top deck. But even then it doesn't make sense, Argus was on turn 4 so what was he planning on doing on turn three if the watcher was really a top deck.
Silence Priest/Silence Druid was not uncommon at lower ranks even before the split. The craziest sht i've seen in ranked wild was a C'Thun/N'Zoth/Yogg/Reno rogue
Those type of decks seem really difficult to stop.. It almost seems like you need an entire deck of removal just to stop your opponent for a turn. Although I haven't come across these kind of decks yet, considering I am a level 15 scrub. But, I have come across similar decks.
That isn't something too bad to lose to.. When your at my ranks. You see some crazyyy crap decks that do not even make sense. I have saw someone play C'thun as a 6/6. I have saw someone assassinate my 2/2 death lord... crazy stuff.
Looks like you played against silence priest. The "Silence" archetype is a pretty unique one, it's pretty much exclusive to druid (Not really anymore in and priest because druid used to have Keeper of the Grove and Priest has that 0 mana Silence card. The deck would basically play high-stated minions with major drawbacks and then taunt it up with defender of argus or Sunfury Protector or Silence them to remove the drawbacks. It's a strange "archetype" to say the least but it's pretty fun to play against and is defiantly less cancerous than aggro shaman. (I lost to it the first time I played against it)
Sadly one of the entertaining late-game Silence Druid combos has been nerfed. It was glorious to attack with your three Treants with Charge spawned from Force of Nature and then play Wailing Soul. The Treants no longer died at the end of the turn. Ah, memories.
Suddenly, After the Purify hype, this discussion gets even more interesting! Was this guy a visionnaire?
Is Silent Priest Ben Brode's Priest after all?? I'll definitely be trying this deck with Purify in place of Silence. Add Holy Novas to help against aggro and heal your taunt wall, add anti-control tools (priest' best talent) and voilá!
I used some of these decks as inspiration for my own Priest deck I am currently working on. It can catch people off guard and works great if the combo's go off..... but I could use some extra help in getting it better......
Don't be salty you may have got beat but the saw the rare Unicorn Priest in the Wild. Just admire its natural beauty because sadly someday if things keep going the way the are it may soon become extinct.

He surely had 2 Wailing Soul and lots of silences. among other control tools...
After the rage passes I might also admire this guy's boldness... STILL, I doubt such a deck has >50% WR (well, I HOPE it does not lol)
I used to play that deck. With Icehowl and Ragnaros as late game finishers. Got to rank 7 with it.

Dependable loan sharks since 1960. We sink our teeth into every deal we make.
Yeah, I ran a silence priest for s's and giggle's and it's getting about a 50/50 win rate, which is not good for me.

Purify value confirmed
Why would you play a unbuffed Berserker on 5 vs Priest? Seems to me like you earned that loss.
He will probably put Purify into that deck later. Blizzard will be happy because the card was played in 1 deck.
Playing since 1 June 2014.

It's really not all that crazy. I took this similar Druid deck to Rank 5 before the Wild split back in February or so.
