Until the middle of June it will be patron. People will try to climb with fast aggro decks like N`sp, face shaman, tempomage. Short game session, high winrate, easy to pilot. Patron is a good answer on that, because low mana curve, massive card draw (if u lucky u can draw all deck turn 8) and especially 5 mana combo (1 turn before Mysterious Challenger).
Also, on high ranks, especially in night time, I often play vs same opponents and I use comborenolock, midrange renopally, murlockspally decks as an addition to patron to play bad mu.
Why do you believe it will change halfway through june?
I just know. After reaching legend some people start to play fun decks, some start to play midrange decks to counter aggrometa, some stay on sp and play like bots. Meta shifts from aggro to midrange. Its time for cw, priests, midrange shamans, midrangepally and others. Some of them are bad mu for patron.
Hey all! I'm trying to come up with a N'Zoth Mage deck in Wild, utilizing Duplicates on Sludge Belcher, Sylvanas, or Carine Bloodhoof. It'll also have a Freeze Mage shell for protection. Thoughts on how a deck like this could work? What would the issues be?
I'm not posting here to steal the thread, it's just you guys seem to know the Wild meta, so I'd like some insight on power level. I don't understand how to determine good or bad matchups. I don't know what cards to really remove for tech choices either. All I know is that this deck seemed like fun so I threw something together, and I'm defeating Secret Pally and Face Shaman.

This is a very interesting idea for a deck! I think youre on to something, the one thing I would say is that you may have too many secrets, While freeze mage finds 2 Ice barriers and 2 ice blocks useful im not sure your deck will be better with the 2 Ice barriers, More deathrattle minions that put pressure on the board as to prevent the 8 damage in the first place could do a lot. My first thoughts are they could be replaced with Deathlords (as they stop 8 damage and also offer an extra taunt to be brought back by N'zoth and destroys aggro decks) its obvious down side could be compensated for by adding a Polymorph to deal with any major threats and prevent other N'zoth decks from bring back crucial minions. Another possible addition would be Ice lance, yes a very low impact card on its own but allows for more damage out of no where and can be crucial in controlling the board state for only 1 mana. Also Loot hoarders seem to have a natural place in this deck given that they are card draw, a minion which this deck may need more of, and it can be brought back by N'zoth. My final suggestion is to add elise starseeker to this deck as an alternative win condition if and using dupicate on her can let you find the golden monkey quite quickly in certain control match ups which would probably win you the game in a lot of cases. Hope some of this helps feel free to use all of this, a little of this, or none of this. Id love to see what your final creation is and I bet you can find a way to take this concept to legend with a little tinkering.

Sweet! Thanks a ton for the help man. I'll see to some testing with the suggestions provided.
EdIt: Duplicated Elise vs Renolock... Wow. Played Monkey on turn 11. Had Brann Bronzebeard and Varian Wrynn... :D That was a fun match.
Has anyone noticed how this thread is unusually polite and useful?
I think "toxic/tryharders to the extreme" players are not interested in Wild cuz "Standard is the pro format, yo n00b"!Thumbs up for the nice wild players around here!
PS: I play and enjoy both Wild and Standard format.
Last season I got to rank 7 on standard - got bored.
I tried Wild out for the first time. Wow - what a different world. Very much varied. Over a couple of hours on a Sunday night - and then a couple of hours Monday morning - I got to rank 7 on wild mode.
I was facing all sorts of decks - the usual (zoolock, secrets paladin, etc) - but also strange decks (beast hunters with Timberwolf, strange version of murloc paladin, etc)...
I documented some of my games using Zalae's Dragon Priest - shows some of the opponents I was facing in the early ranks up to 11:
To get to rank 7, I ended up using N'Zoth Secrets Paladin - I have a video for that too - will post that later.

Thanks! I'm slightly saddened to hear this isnt the case elsewhere but I'm glad to help in any way I can. Honestly I believe over time wild will make a resurgence as the players that started when standard was rolled out wont be the new players any more and will still want to use some of their collection in wild after the next rotation.
As a Freeze Mage main, I'm doing very well in wild (using reno freeze mage actualy). I saw very few control warrior and anti secrets techs until now, so the climb was very steady.
This season I'm trying some Druid, but until now I'm having some trouble to find a strong deck.

Hey so I just made a new N'zoth Priest deck for wild and would like some of your guys input as it seems a lot of high level wild players follow this post now. N'zoth Preist 1.0.
You can check out the individual players profiles and see what decks they post. I for example got to rank 3 in wild last season playing the N'zoth paladin deck I have uploaded (N'zoth Paladin) and this freeze mage (Malygos Freeze).
Pretty sure N'Zoth Priest should be tier one, it simply beats every other deck out there. Got me to Legend in around a day.
While Zoo and Secret Paladin and Freeze Mage certainly are strong, the only reason people seem to play them is that there aren't any other lists to netdeck. I'm certain decks that are refined specifically for Wild beat all of the easily.
This is what i used to about a 80% win rate in 2-3 hours, only lost to shamans with dumb openings and no removal. You can tech in some Deathlords for that, though i don't find it necessary, Belchers get the job done 90% of the time. Would tech in 1x eater of secrets instead of 1x Nova if you're meeting a lot of freeze mages though, didn't lose to a single secret paladin, so i don't see the need for it in that matchup.
Stalled out at 2 last season with freeze after every - literally every - deck was running double eaters. Other than the secret paladins, who sometimes were running Kezans instead - because you obviously need to tech against the 1% of the meta that is freezemage. I've swapped to tempo mage because a friend wants to climb together with it, but doing abysmally. mainly because secret paladins with Rag, healer and more big stuff than usual tends to trounce me. I don't have enough fireballs to keep the board clear, and I need to act as a control deck in that MU. Oh, I'm dead again.
Seriously considering dropping this tempomage and going back to Zoo - the last time I played zoo was back when undertaker was useful!
Well, this is very curious. Maybe I was very lucky, because not only you said that was a lot Kezan and Eaters on ladder.
Maybe the time and region can be a factor as well. I was playing on US server and because of the timeline, it was something like 5-8 AM, a very weird time for people to climb.
Thank you for the information friend. I will think twice before climbing with freeze mage.
Hello all! Certainly a useful thread with very good comments. I don't play much every season, my ranks are between 17 to 15 (14 my best ever). I love mid range paladin and make a deck in Wild around N'zoth, here is the list:
That's a nice deck Tier list, I've played Wild last season too, and I agree with everything you said, I'm trying to ladder a bit with Freeze Mage this season in wild.
So druid is not only virtually absent in standard, he is a no show in wild as well. Nice job Blizzard.
