I am really having a blast. So much that I am still bronze in standard and wild. It is really fun to play with the old cards again and I am looking forward to see what is next.
I don't know if I like the storebought decks, because I face them 90% of my games or so.
I would like Blizzard to not introduce new cards. A card like Eyestalk of C'Thun would not have been made back then. Its too powerful and if it had been made, then I seriously doubt that it would have had lifesteal and perhaps not even taunt.
The format is alright but it's C'Thun/Jade fest. It gets old quickly and a 8 mana C'Thun is a bit much. The eyestalk has never been a problem for me, it's quite slow to make an impact.
Discard Lock, Control Warrior and Freeze Mage are quite strong if you don't like playing Jade or C'thun. Control Paladin and aggro/deathrattle Hunter are also playable.
Honestly, the only card i despise right now is Jade Telegram.
I think Twist has the potential to be the best format in the game and I'm having a lot of fun in spite of balance concerns (Chamber of Viscidus, The Scarab Lord, Jade Telegram), but pricing is just ridiculous. At least make it the cost of a mini set!

Totally agree that this is an incredibly fun format. I hope they keep the focus on it being a Time Hop mode, and don’t make it essentially a month-long Tavern Brawl. I don’t mind the new cards too much. Most are at least somewhat interesting (Warlock location being the main exception).
I’m having a great time too. Best format right now. Yes it’s not very balanced but it is OK. I think the smartest thing would be for blizzard to have a subscription service so you could play every month for €10 or so so you will not care if the cost change etc. etc.
Chamber of Visicdus is mindblowing for me. I can see missevaluating jade rogue buffs or even the locust but 2 mana draw 2 three times with an upside? What was the logic?
I think it was really fun at the start but now everyone understands you just play jade/c'thun decks since they were buffed so much. The problem with that is that both are extremely monotonous and boring to play against, with every match feeling the same. Jade is much more offensive in that regard (cue "I summon a larger and larger minion" meme). Warlock having a location that is beyond broken and still not changed is also not helping. Seriously, it's the best card in WILD right now, of course it's going to shit on a more limited format too.
I think the point of this twist was to play at a lower power level but I found it weird that the cards they added in are way, way over the power level of the cards around at the time, and then the rest were hyper buffed to make the others obsolete. Rat Sensei is maybe the strongest 2 drop ever printed (I only say maybe because mad scientist exists). The Scarab Lord is broken, probably not in most decks because people don't want to shell the dust to craft it. Blast from the Past does so much in one card. Future Emissary is alliance bannerman on steroids.
It was fun for a bit but giving rogue that third obnoxious jade card really wasn't the smartest idea.
i'm playing a beast hunter and 95% of my opponents are rogues, all golden with unsimiliar skins but same jade c'thun decks, this is nonsense, like all bots from wild migrated here
round 4% are warlocks and super mega rare occasions when i meet a druid, another hunter or priest
In the higher ranks most of the games are vs Discard Warlock and Jade Rogue. These are perceived as the strongest decks and players in these brackets are trying to climb - players in diamond are always going to be playing what is believed to be the strongest decks. There's not as much experimentation going on with fewer players engaged in the mode, so discovery of other strong decks hasnt been as rapid. Deathrattle face hunter is really good for example against those two decks, but by the time it catches on the format is almost over for the month. It would be nice if Blizzard did a balance adjustment (ahem chamber of viscidius and jade telegram) but no indication its happening.
This actually makes me sad, we got a really fun nostalgic format with huge room for experiences with old decks + new cards... but people farm XP with strong decks because they have to get few% higher winrate* and farm few more packs over the season to farm XP in the future. Oh, and there is also a pack for reaching legend!
* Funnily enough, they don't even achieve that because matchmaking will keep them at 50% no matter what they do unless they are top legend or something.
People saying that this season of twist is good must be the ones playing Jade Telegram. Also, they are probably Clueless that the power level of the card is like playing with cheats, smh'ing my head...

I also love playing against the same two decks every single game. Three if Jade Rogue and C'Thun Jade Rogue count as two decks.
CCGing since '98.

VS didn't make a report and streamers aren't playing the mode, so people who have been conditioned to net-decking just flock to the most obvious list.
People don't like to experiment, and if they don't have a lot of cards and/or dust then it is justified as well.

so how again u guys can enjoy jade and cthun and facehunter so much? Is it just cause game is slower and you can get easy wins at the beginning?

It's almyst funny that a thread that started with such good intentions has been turned into another salt thread.
I would be willing to bet that half of these salty people have played no.more than 4 or 5 games of Twist in Bronze 10 and formed an opinion about it.
