In these scenarios I just retire and start a new run. I average 6-8 wins anyways in arena so I pretty much have infinite arena + quest gold. If I am going to get insta gibbed like that during draft mind as well start a new 1 and hope I get something good in the pack.
I've actually done pretty well just with solid minions. Everyone expects flamestrike so when they play around it and you don't have it you have an additional card in hand. Fireblast means all your minions can trade up given the mana. You should be able to hit 3-3 just with arena newbies and other bad drafts, if your minions are solid you should be able to win most games you don't lose tempo. Good luck turning around the ones where it goes wrong though. One thing to bear in mind when drafting is that if I haven't hit enough spells by 10 or 15 cards, I'll prioritize charge minions and battlecry damage as makeshift substitutes, because you really need to have plays that have immediate effects on the board.
Its funny; in your situation you'll often lose to horrible players that just flood the board vs. mage. Conversely, you'll throttle good players playing around flamestrike.

QFT! Well stated. Everyone thinks they should have an epic deck every time they draft in Arena. It's random.
Yeah I agree. Disaterrific's point was very well stated. I feel silly getting back to it this late, but I like his or her take on the dilemma in my pouty post!
NOTHING.
I never get those either, and I don't complain.
Then again, I never pick Mage, so that might explain why... Hmmm...

I disagree, going 0-3 is worse than the title.
Not sure if hyped yet.
Don't play mage.. :P

1 fireball, 0 frostbolt, 0 flamestrike, 0 polymorph, 11 wins.
Stop looking for an easy ride. Selecting Mage is bad enough, expecting all the Mage cards that a child could win with is OTT. Try harder.
Stop playing mage, mage ratio is almost the sam as a hunter in ranked. And you will fix all your problems.

Totaly agree, flamestrike is such good and necesary card on arena...dont have at least one is a problem for a mage. Well more luck next time ^^
That Fireball did some serious work! :P
This is statement is false.
