Went 12-2 as mage with a mage deck including the following new cards:
Snowchugger was useful. It is nice to keep their hero frozen in the early game when they like to use removal on your first minions played.
Unstable Portal was very fun, especially when it netted me a Kel'thuzad which I played that turn for 5 mana. But I had generally good results with it.
The Kezan Mystic can make or break a game in arena. Stealing a mages 3-mana secret is a 6-mana swing and can be devastating. The card is playable even when there are no secrets to steal, but it is OP when you steal one.
The Antique Healbot continues to shine for me. I'm getting a lot of mileage out of it in all of my arena decks.
So I played rogue for my first GvG arena, went 7-3 and the highligh of the deck was Arcane Nullifier X-21 + Iron Sensei combo , pretty ridiculous when my opponents were not able to deal with the iron sensei, the nullifier kept getting bigger and they couldnt target it. Pretty cool since i didnt expect neither of those cards to be very good.
I can strongly state that Whirling Zip O Matic/Rockbiter/"Get In There Maggot!" is just too awesome. The 3/5 for 4-mana Trogg card is uber strong and always baits removal. The Giblin Stalker 2/3 stealth minion is top-tier in arena for early game tempo. The Shredders, (I got both) are really strong even with their low health because they immediately summon the minion, thereby repopulating the board, which is what shaman tries to do. Lastly, the Madder Bomber and Bomb Lobber just above average in arena when you are recovering board.
Overall, good cards, fun cards, great xpac.
I think Gilblin Stalker might be sleeper OP. It chooses to trade up when it wants to when you play any kind of 3/2 or 2/1. I can hardly keep up if they have this and simple removal in their opening hand.
Drafted a Druid deck and sadly I didn't get too many GvG cards, dark whispers being the most exciting. It's a high mana cost of six but comos well with savage roar or acolyte of pain which I also had. Generally though plus 5/5 and taunt on a minion in arena is very strong because your opponent doesn't expect it. Especially not from druid haha.
Ive found clockwork giant really annoying but I'm sure it's a weak card in general for arena. opponents just got lucky with playing it early.

How to become ∞ at arena: - practice, practice, win, dominate, profit.
Got 7 Wins, I like the set a lot. I went hunter and drafted 2 glaizooka and it was pretty good. A lot of times I waited to buff a 3 drop and play a 2 drop, and just hero power on turn 2. The Ogre was awesome, he hit the correct target most of the time. Madder bomber was awesome, you never want to play him when you have guys out obviously, but when he dropped him onto a newly populated board after a wipe or something, he really shines. The 5 mana 3 damage bow spell (Cobra Shot) was actually pretty good. A lot of creatures have 3 health, and 3 damage is not bad by itself. I look forward to more drafts tomorrow.
I went 1-3 but I played/drafted horrible and was unlucky a few times.
For some reason I thought the explosive sheep was a 1mana AoE so I ran a minion into it thinking my healing totem would heal my board at the end of the turn while clearing his. Alas the board was wiped barring a single 1 HP minion which got pinged by the mage which was a massive tempo loss.
My Malygos crackle dream almost came true but RNG was unfortunate and the opponent was left with a single Health point. Next turn he dumped minions on the board and played a secret, alas it was ice block and I had to concede as I couldn't clear enough of his minions. Would've won before the Maly turn if bloodlust showed up earlier.
In the end I got a golden Doomsayer so that's something.
P.S. The whirling zap-o-matic makes the cutest attack sound.
I'm starting to see the value of Bomb Lobber... It's almost like pay 3 mana for a 4 damage removal and pay 2 mana for a 3/3 body... Pretty good when you look at it like that.
9-3 Priest here, this is what i think of my first run in GvG arena:
-Mechanical Yeti is even better than most people think. your yeti now has a deathrattle and really helps Undertaker (yes, still viable) -Lil' Exorcist is a really good 3 drop, even with only 1 deathrattle proc. anything more than that? OP as fuck -Spider Tank is amazing on curve, follow it with a yeti and your opponent will have a baaaaaaad time -Coghammer played in mid game is a HUGE tempo swing -Shadowboxer is alright, it's clearly not a new Knife Juggler but it's still good -Shrinkmeister is an MVP, solid for the early game and even more solid mid-late game for favourable trading. drafted 3 of them and I regret nothing!
Obligatory edit :
Spider tank, Spider tank, Does what ever, Spider tank does ! Can you coin him, on turn 2 ? Yes you can, He's a tank ! Lookouuuut, he's a spider tank!
Mal'Ganis was the first pick of my second arena run, and he was pretty fun. Got him to survive a turn in a game and then played 5/4 Flame Imp into free tap into topdecked 5/4 Flame Imp #2, which was awesome.
I can't yet decide how to evaluate Ogre Brute, I had great success running him but I kept seeing my opponents get absolutely screwed by him. Feels a bit like a win more card since I was always ahead when he did well for me, and my opponents were playing from behind and therefore ended up accidentally hitting things like nerubian eggs and silver hand recruits.

"I hate Hearthstone. This game is a joke. Let's go play a real game." - Xixo on me beating him with his own face hunter list
Went 6 wins with a warlock deck on my free pass, and I agree completely. Caller into watcher is a giant play. Demonlock is going to be scary in constructed.
I ran a copy of the nerfed Soulfire. It feels... meh, now. Not being able to play it the same turn as an on-curve drop makes the card loss feel much heavier.
Didn't get to play with Anima, but I drafted a couple of Troggs and a Nullifier and got great milage out of them.
i cant really complain tho cuz it was a free run and i ended getting 30 gold and a card pack and in the one card pack was a Prophet Velen!!! i couldnt believe it! not an amazing legendary but still, it was a legendary that i didnt have!!

Thanks FOO(The Banner God)!
Did you guys get the classic card pack as reward as well?
I kinda was hoping it might have rewarded a GvG card pack. :/

20K G's saved up every new expansion.
went 12-1 with mage.... the deck was quite standard except for 2 unstable portals that gived me crazy rng...
in 4-0 i got while topdecking neptulon from it
in 6-1 i got hogger vs priest... on turn 4
in 7-1 vs a warrior got thr blightron, getting thr 5/2 hunters bow for both.
in 10-1 i had a turn 1 mecanical spider ( coined the portal)
in 11-1 i ahd it in opening hand and could played a trun 3 cairne!!
omg that dream rng lol.
The animation on that portal is a little too much in my opinion. It looks like the animation from a legendary card or something

7 wins...
My MVPs were unexpectet Mogor the Ogre! The way this minion messes with the opponents trading is hilarious!
Also unstable portal. Yes it gave me the 1 mana windfury and a Northshire cleric (I played mage) thing, but also Ysera, Tinkmaster & Gelbin!
Just my 2 cents

Can you coin him, on turn 2 ?
Yes you can, He's a tank !
Lookouuuut, he's a spider tank!
I'm sitting at 2-2 (I'm a 3 win average player) with Paladin. Both loses against hunters and were close calls.
These are the cards from GvG I drafted:
Quartermaster has been great. I wasn't lucky enough to draft Muster for Battle, but enhanced my board presence pretty well.
Spider Tank is great as many have said already :).
Burly Rockjaw Trogg is cool, but haven't faced spell heavy enemies.
Micro Machine can snowball pretty fast. I think it will be an interesting card to run in constructed if comboed right.
Chugga chugga chugga!
They've said you'll get a GvG pack in that case.

4 wins with a mage. Had 3 Madder Bombers
Opponent at 3 HP, im on 6, Ironbark on his side of the board at 2. Save me, Madder Bomber!
All bombs into my face. Best card ever.
i ran shaman and went 1-3. i am terrible at arena. but i did draft a Piloted Shredder which paired well with Powermace. in my first run and only win, i got a Millhouse Manastorm off of it. second run i got a friggin Captain's Parrot :(
i cant really complain tho cuz it was a free run and i ended getting 30 gold and a card pack and in the one card pack was a Prophet Velen!!! i couldnt believe it! not an amazing legendary but still, it was a legendary that i didnt have!!
You and me both man. I need to learn this whole Arena thing. I'm such a noob.
This has pretty much been my experience with Madder Bomber too
