Arena is much more fun than decks are lower power levels and players win more due to skill and less due to drafting crazy cards. For example, right now if you play against a Shaman who has more than 1 or 2 wins, they have somewhere between 2-5 Walking Fountains in their decks and probably 1-3 Hagatha Schemes. My most recent deck had multiple Muster for Battle's in it. I basically LOL stomped everyone unlucky enough to go against me when I drew it within the 1st 3 turns of the game. I am sure they had tons of fun those games! I could provide similar examples from other classes but I think the point in made
It's really just a problem with the tier 1/2 bucket not having enough good cards in it. I can't tell you how many times I've had the choice of either Truesilver champion, blessing of Kings, consecration offered to me. Probably more examples too. That's just the one I remember seeing all the time.
So having such limited pools in the top tier buckets means you basically get to choose out of the 5ish times you get offered that bucket how many walking fountains you want and how many schemes you want.
Its crazy how strong rogue is. I dont play much but I still follow others and check hsreplay. My recent 3 runs were 2x Rogue, 1x Druid and I can confirm the high winrates of them.
Went 10-3 and 9-3 with Rogue, 6-3 with Druid.
As rogue I had swashburglar + the 2 mana 2/3 which gets +1/1 when you have a card from another class. This as an opener: fkin insane. Also I drafted 3 necrium blades (I got offered like 5 or even more..) together with mechanical welp. The losses i guess were against other rogues who out-tempod me and well.. mirror matched sucked lol .
Really wish they would change the power level but I guess its hard because a lot of the cards from older expansions just have a huge powerlevel by themself.
1. game mage plays Kalecgos + conjurer's calling instant lose
2. game Paladin plays full mech synergy deck with kangor's endless army
There is a huge gap between my draft and some players draft they are extremely lucky this shouldn't be an issue in arena
Are you sure that you are describing your Arena experience not Standard ?
Paladin deck getting both Kangor's Endless Army and Mech Synergy is very unlikely and Mage getting CC and Kalec is more likely but still not a average arena experience.

it was arena and both happened in a single run paladin played mechwarper and buffed it till 7/11 divine shield taunt I was able to deal with first one than he played kangor's endless army and summoned it back with another mech.
In mage game I was dominating the game till she played kalecgos and get a flamestrike from it I was like okay I can survive it than he played conjurer's calling next turn on Kalecgos.

I got bullshitted by a mage who played Malygos followed by Antonidas and topdecked a Shooting Star while I had lethal on board in RR meta, one of the best Arena metas of all time. Does it mean that every mage in RR meta had Maly and Anton or that RR meta was bad ? Obviously not, you can/will get fucked by legendary and perfect draw once in a while in every Arena meta, just move on.
The current Arena meta is what Arena used to be before BDP and RR, tempo/aggro based and heavily reliant on good curve. Either you don't like classic Arena experience or you are just salty about those two unlucky matches.
Good news for you is that the next meta should be a lot closer to BDP and RR metas if Blizzard doesn't fuck up the balance, which they probably will do for first two weeks.

No I was salty when it happened yesterday I posted a print screen on salt threat you can check if you can find the post and at the past I encountered complete reno decks and pirate warriors and other standart decks in arena too but they were not happening at this frequency.

There are more highroll decks in this Arena is because of Conj Calling, almost every Mage has one and Mage is a popular/good in Arena right now. Luckily RoS is not in next meta :)
Not just arena, the game is the shitiest it has been and boy it has been trash for years... A good friend of mine wanted to start during the fire festival. so i gave him my account since i dropped the game completely in last expansion....and playing even 5 games to teach him the basics felt like a chore...Needless to say he gave me my account back and said the game is trash 3 days ago. XD
I just hate the new system in general where they bring in the older sets. Some of these old cards were just so unfun and op. I was happy to NEVER see them in the arena again and now the devs thought it would be good to see them in the format again for some reason. The game is heading so downhill. Very sad.
They shouldn't have any kind of "rules or buckets or whatever" if you ask me. Arena should be how it was the first two years of its existence, imo. The draft deck building phase is sooo boring now and every deck you face is the same, again, boooooring. I remember going 12-0 with a highlander druid deck which used normally junk cards like Moonfire, but it all was designed and worked in such a way as a deck, that even with its middling quality, it went 12-0. Those decks don't exist anymore. And it's a damn shame
Personally I really enjoy the rotation of sets it keeps arena fresh. The issue is the buckets. They are not altered often enough as cards are often misbucketed. Only card that moved bucket last rotation was evil miscreant. Also as someone mentioned the highest bucket on most classes only has 3 or 4 cards so it's the same 3 choices more often than not. I think one option would be to offer a set number of picks for each bucket. Say 2 from bucket 1, 3 bucket 2, 4 bucket 3 etc. At least then players would have a deck with comparative card quality albeit different cards.

That is a gigantic problem. They should lower the offering rate of top cards like they did with Evil Miscreant

What is this arena seriously

Yes the same cards showing up all the time, is the negative part of it. There are enough cards in arena that this shouldn't happen.

Dude don’t doubt this guy, Why would he mention normal standard plays? Its not worth to mention
as an experienced arena player i can tell you that right now arena is more luck based than it ever was.
I just keep drafting Puddlestompers
