i would do it for sure, i dont like the doomsayer and the murloc is on the weak 2 drop side
thx for your opinion. However, Tidehunter is actually above average in Arena. 2 bodies for 2 mana is great tempo. Thats why Im torn on the pick. Dragon Speaker might be to optimistic though. Ill wait and see what the overall opinions are. Thx again.
well rogue is top 3 in arena right now and as a paladin you cant really do an aoe buff so thats why for me its on the weak side it also trades even with a 1/2 1 drop
I think I'd probably take the Dragonspeaker because it's early in the draft and you already have lots of synergy. But Tidehunter is a good 2 drop as well. Definitely not the doomsayer I'd say. If you need more info the Overwolf Arena app that Kripp uses is insanely good and will give good feedback as well.
i tend to go by how strong cards are on their own, even more so when you are playing a class like paladin. that usually nets me something around 7 or 8 wins.
for me its the tide hunter since that 5 drop is beyond terrible when you don't get the synergy off...
however when it works its insane tempo so idk. depends on how much risk you feel comfortable with?:D
So I picked the Dragon Speaker after all. Thx to everyone for their input and help. I ended the draft with 4 Bronze Herald and 1 Faerie Dragon. For my second game, I was able to play a buffed Dragon Speaker into a hand of 4- 4/4 dragons for 4- 7/7"s!!!! https://hsreplay.net/replay/3WFCf4jg6CVhXWq4iXGgSR
Honestly i would have picked Validated Doomsayer, that card is actually pretty strong if you are not completely behind. With that being said, Dragon Speaker is not the worst stats in the world for its cost even if you whiff on the battlecry, so trying to go for the synergy is definitely an option and why not do it, you should have fun with interesting synergies if you can, thats what makes for the best games.
Ending up with 4 Bronze Heralds? holy hell, that is quite good. That card is insane value powerhouse and 4 seems like a good number to guarantee a hit on at least one dragon on average with Dragon speaker :)
Hand buff paladin in general is actually quite disgusting in arena from my experiences so far. All of the MSoG hand buff cards are back and it is pretty common to get +2/+2 or more on your entire hand by turn 4.

thx for your input buddy. I started off well, but didnt draft enough early game and got smoked by fast hunters and rogues. Only got 4 wins sadly. but thx again. much appreciated.

Yeah, fast hunters actually do rather well nowadays. Tons of burn and Unleash the Beast is just beyond insane. That card would have been ok without Twinspell, with Twinspell i have no words for how good it is lol. Lightforge has it as the best hunter card at the moment alongside Marked Shot and for good reason. It is unspeakable lol.
Would you draft Dragon Speaker considering how early it is and the fact I have 2 Bronze heralds already?
Thoughts please.......and thx.
anybody?
