I only did the fist run as I have all the Boomsday cards I want, so saving the gold. this is especially due to me not getting so much value out of my runs. Always a shame stuff like this comes in the end of expansions. would love if we got a token to be redeemed on any packs we wanted (including wild) instead of most recent
I had a great/fun run with a Mage/Rogue. Tons of spell damage with 2 cheap shots, low cost rogue and mage spells, questing adventurer, Gadgetzan auctioneer.
Also played every Hunter/xxx combination. Liked Hunter/Mage the most.
Tried Warrior/Rogue once, got 2 spellstones, needless to say it's broken.
This arena is bullshit. I gave up after my second run.

I started with two 3win runs myself, but after realizing that pretty much nothing chanced compared to regular BDP meta, i just drafted for super early game and some buffs and voila 8-10 wins :)
Srsly tho, just draft for early presence / board swarm. Very few aoes around, even in classes like mage/wl (tho WL has probably the most aoes of any class on average, for obvious reasons). So just hittin your minions on curve can literally win you games on its own, pretty easy to get to like 5 wins no problemo with any deck drafted accordingly. Just dont go for late game cards at all, only stuff like Primordial Drake, Violet Wurm, Bonemare etc. you get the point, but even these get like 2-3 max.
I think Ive had the most fun when I pick warrior as the hero power. It's generally not recommended, but I personally find it charming.
It's an interesting format, but is plagued with what normal arena is plagued by, where the drafts don't feel random at all, and like you are being led down a path. I've gravitated more towards constructed because of it.
I love this event, but this year the draft doesn't appear to weight class cards like it did last year. The powerful neutral cards generally decide the games. I've had a lot of 7+ runs, but very rarely enjoyed crazy inter-class combos that I looked forward to going into the event. I preferred the favoritism towards class cards for this event at least, if not normal arena.

Twelve Arena Wins - Shaman, Warlock, Mage x2, Rogue, Priest (12-0), Druid, Hallow's End x2, Hunter, Taverns of Time x3 (Pa,D,WL), Paladin
I'm actually pretty happy, got my first 11 win run (previous best was 8, and I probably average 4). Did about 8 runs before I ran out of gold averaging 5 wins. Probably not the smartest thing to do, but it was pretty fun! I noticed I almost never got to have a legendary in my deck though, what are the chances you get one?
My theory: The phonetic rules behind the spelling of this French-derived word are very awkward for most English speakers. Very few words end in "long vowel + hard G". I can't think of any others that end in "long O + hard G".
I think that English speakers analyze the "-UE" as a second syllable. Moving the "U" after the "O" keeps the correct number of syllables. You also can't end an English word with "long vowel + hard G", so you would need an extra letter of some type.
What cinches it is that "rouge" is not marked as misspelled by spell checking programs.
Disappointingly, I didn't find it to be as fun as last time. I think the element of "neutral stone" really made the class combinations less interesting.

Agreed, I barely would have known there was an event. I kept seeing all the same cards, so kinda boring.
And after a winning percentage of about 75% the first week, I played some more the past few days with a 30% winning percentage. Some of that was bad luck (balancing good luck in the first week), but not all. I think most casuals are gone now, so I'm out too. It's not fun feeding the sharks.

Gentle Rogue, Moulin Rouge - what's the difference? I won my first match, may even try a second one.

Would broadly agree. It's been a while since the last event but I'm sure I remember seeing more class cards in it than this time around. To be honest I've actually found it a bit less interesting than regular Arena because if anything I've found it a bit harder to draft vaguely cohesive decks.
I haven't played as much as I would like as I've been away but my results have been pretty schizophrenic. Out of 10 runs I have 3x 12 wins, 1x 11 wins and 5 runs where I got less than 5 wins in each. My best decks have been the most boring ones really, with little class synergy and a good curve. Haven't had any crazy synergies played against me either, apart from Rogue with Mithril Spellstone which is obviously quite easy to achieve.
Lucky you "no crazy synergy" games, gimme some :D And then there is me encountering BS like this in every other game ahaha. For a second i thought i was playing vs a druid :P
What´s your favourite hero combination? Did you have a suprisingly well doing one you didnt expect?
Around 10 wins, all i see is warriors or druids with hero power from mage or rouge! What are your experiences?
Warrior+Mage is probably the most consistent one for me, but Shaman is actually performing well for me as well, mainly due to Bloodlust alone.

My suprise 12:1 run was a warlock / rouge combo. Having a weapon and a lot of "when your hero takes damage" cards

They like Moulin Rouge

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
