I have tried two arena runs, first Priest+hunter and now warrior+mage. Last one I have zero (0!) mage class cards, and I saw very few. I saw one weapon and took it, and am playing 5 warrior class cards in total. Is this just a random lack of class cards, or is it others experience as well? I also seemed to play against mostly neutrals.
If that is the case it kind of makes the experience lackluster. Very consistent of course and my decks were fine power wise, just not very cool at all. I like normal arena, but sholdn't an event like this be more different? At the same time, yeah, last years version was pretty bad because of powerlevel too high and random. But what seems like fun to me is to explore interactions between class cards, and that wont happen if they barely exist...
I agree. My free ticket was just a throw away draft. I got 5 warrior cards and 8 druid cards. Got 1 legendary druid card, cenarius... I got no weapons or removal. I tried holding my 1 savage roar and go wide but so far everyone Ive played just has better cards. Good luck man. Im done. I was really looking forward to playing this arena seeing how I never waste my time with it normally. Id rather just spend my money elsewhere.
Yeah, sure, you do end up picking neutrals because they are better. I agree, it is nothing weird. But isn't it very unexciting though? Why bother with this event if it isn't doing much cooler things than a very minor twist on the normal arena? I don't know about you, but I have time to do a couple of runs per week, and if the average run has more than 50% neutral cards, the decks where you get to explore interactions between class cards will be few and far between. And in a normal Arena, I like that consistensy, but for this event I would have thought it would be more like a prolonged tavern brawl, a little whacky...
So it is not like I have a big issue, with it, it is fine, just unexciting and maybe a missed opportunity to do something cooler? I think the issue is probably that it would require a lot more work than they put in, moving some cards to different buckets, maybe making some cards not show up if you pick one part of a broken combo, stuff like that.

Sometimes you get offered very bad class cards, so you end up with very few from one class, yeah, it can happen, nothing too weird.
Or the good ones r pinned against even better ones from the other class, so again, you end up with very few from the other.

10 Warrior cards with 2 weapons incl Woecleaver, 6 Druid cards. Lots of spells. Good draft 9-1 now. :-)
