The event is live for everyone but NA right? I've read about people getting the themed quests and also already playing the actual arena but mine still says the sing-ups are closed :(
So far the games have been interesting to say the least :D One game i was dominating completely, would have won next turn, but the dude pulls Timeway Wanderer and gets a 1-cost Vanish :D i was like "ok so only Vanish screws me over", it sure did :D
I'm trying out shaman with three stasis elementals and although it's pretty awesome, it leaves me complacent in leaving up the frozen minions. When stasis elemental is killed, the perviously frozen minion can attack immediately.
Timeway wanderer has only helped me discover 2 mana or cheaper spells both time I played it, which really sucks as it ruins my topdeck and the 5 mana discount is wasted. Unlucky both times I guess, it can be op.
Edit: 4-3 on my first run. Not very good, but it's a refreshing arena experience. Second run, 7-2.
I played against a rogue with multiple copies of deja vu and he also discovered a dragon soul from a hallucination, so that got pretty interesting... I still won that game thanks to a gluttonous ooze from ripple in time though :p
Really like drafting the Wildlands Adventurer just for the Hall of Fame cards as well had a game I managed to get Ragnaros the Firelord and it snowballed me to a win. Also managed to get Conceal one game as well for a win xD. Had a bit of fun with Infinite Wolf too. Only played 2 Arenas today managed to get 5-3 with Hunter and 9-3 with Warrior.
After losing 2 in a row, I was able to get to 5-3 with Warrior. It took a second to figure out the new meta. For instance, you only get the bonus from Temporal Anomaly if you *draw* it. It can't start in your opening, even if it replaces a mulligan.
Wildlands Adventurer is pretty sick. My opponent got Ragnaros - Game Over. I got Power Overwhelming - Great finisher!
Déjà Vu is an OP card for rogue. It should just say: "3 mana - Deal 4 damage".

Deva vu isn't as good as you make it out to be. I've had 0 evis across multiple rogue drafts, for example; factor in that 50% of the time you also have the coin, and 100% of the time you have deva vu itself - even if this is the first deva vu of the game - and the reliability tanks.
Just wait until you see Captain's Parrot, Coldlight Oracle and Ice Lance, for example, from wildlands. Opp gets a sylv, you get one of the approx 50% bad choices, that's a loss. High variance card.
Ice Lance has saved my ass number of times actually :D Just to stall that one big minion or to create a "Spell Damage +1 Swipe" with Blizzard :D I guess it is better in mage than other classes, for obvious reasons tho :o
It's REALLY LAME, IMO. Now, you can go from being totally ahead in the game, to being totally behind thanks to several of the new OP cards. I played my free run...went 6-3....will not be playing it again so I don't give Blizzard the idea that this was a good idea, because it was not.
Shadowverse was a very fun game for the first year it was out. Then it released a set called Rise of Bahamut which introduced super OP cards just like the ones in arena now. The game absolutely sucks now. You can be way ahead in a game, but if your opponent draws that one super OP card, you will suddenly be way behind. I can't stand games like that....why even play? Arena is a lot like this now...will not be playing it again in this format.
Mage has pretty insane spell generation in arena now. Both their class exclusive cards for the vent generate spells, and the nuetral temporal anamoly does so too. This is on top of their usual prymordial glyph and spellstone shenanigans. Not to mention leyline elemental helps them discount over half their hand sometimes. They're in a pretty good spot right now (as always)
Shaman is also having a good time. Master of realities tends to hard carry if that game goes far enough. Stasis elemental is an amazing stall against classes without much single removal.
I struggle to enjoy arena over constructed because arena is based on random cards that are picked from random offerings put forward 30 times in a row, then you face opponents who have done the same. God help you if you either picked poorly or just didn't get cards that work well together.
These new cards haven't helped me enjoy arena more, but I think that's just because I might need more time in arena to adjust to it. It's so wildly different from ladder and casual (in my opinion) that cards I would usually think are great in constructed actually suck pretty hard in arena, and vice versa.
And yes, I do use the arena tier lists since I'm an arena noob. I'm just trying to get used to arena play. The cards and mechanics are cool, but when you're still learning the game mode, it's not as cool to get steamrolled lol

How has it been so far? Are the cards fun, or do they feel unfair to play against? Also, what class do you think benefits the most?
It's here already? I'm playing in NA and the arena is closed for new entries right now...
EDIT: It came few mins after I posted this and gave it a go, went 7-3 :D

I have a chunk of gold saved for this event. Is it live for NA?
Come visit my Card Emporium. Strange things, you will find inside...
Come take the test, if you're daring. Feel free to show me your results in a message.
Yes it just went live for NA. I got 2 quest which rewards 60 gold and dust. Should I reroll them?
