I don't get it... first people say that hearthstone require no skill. Than same people say that tech cards, should be removed, because they don't want to play around them. MC Tech is good card and it is pretty easy to play around it, neither it is so punishing as Twisting Nether or Flamestrike. The only question which should be rised, how much tech cards should Arena have. And this actually may be a problem. I remember I have listened Krip once and it was really good though, that the problem in Arena is that it have so much tech cards, that actually it is not worth to play against anything sometimes. Because actually you can't guess what opponent has and you can't play against everything. But that was maybe before standart arena was introduced. That was really bad at wild arena, because it was impossible to play against every single card which your opponent can have. So for me discussion should be only, how much tech cards are the right quantity in order people to want to play around them (neither to be too low or too much).
I agree MCT had its time, it should be removed from arena. It seems like every other arena game I play is decided by which minion he steals for me or my opponent. To never have more than 3 minions on the board and have a chance of winning is impossible for classes like paladin and shaman, so it's unrealistic to say just play around it hurdur.
Some decks can't play around hard removal, should we remove that too? What about AOE, some decks can't play around that either. That's the risk you take by playing those decks. You can't play around 100% of the cards 100% of the time, but that's not a reason to remove them from the game.
What? Hard removal and AOE aren't specific cards with narrowly disproportionate effects as compared to mana cost, which randomly decide games. Take this straw man outta here.
Your issue was that sometimes you can't play around it, so with that in mind my argument was not a straw man at all as it is using the exact argument you made and not one I made up. to your new argument: There are plenty of cards that are disproportionally stronger in certain situations and cannot always be played around, that is not unique to MCT either.
Quite Contrary; cards like this should be encouraged, else the game of arena gets very auto-pilot

The other issue with MCTech is one that no one's brought up: there is no downside to drafting MCTech because of its very good vanilla stats.
If MCTech were a 3/2 or 2/3 then this would be a very different discussion.

I sometimes forget MCT is even a card until I get my 8 drop stolen.
i like this maybe they should have a tech card bucket that shows up maybe once or twice per draft.
