I'm no frequent arena player (just hit 12 wins once and that was during the dual class arena), but the few times I have jumped into arena it seems like the unbelievable rng moments that I've run into in this format have been so unbelievably annoying and back to back that is has often left me dumbfounded.
The crazy salt thread moments that have been affected by rng while in arena also seem to occur back to back more often than what it seems to happen when I play constructed, but perhaps those were just oddball encounters.
What you do feel about the impact and occurrence of rng in arena when compared to the rng you typically face in constructed?
Constructed has a big emphasis on mulligan and drawing RNG. Lots of games are decided on turn 4 due to barnes, call to arms, hellfire/defile, and duskbreaker. Also drawing geist early is important. The format has improved a lot since the balance update. No more early keleseth, golakka crawler, patches, corridor creeper, and raza.
Arena has discover RNG and draft RNG. There are more unexpected combos and hand reading is harder.
I think constructed has more RNG than arena, but since these high roll and board swing cards happen every game you get desensitized to it.

I would say yes ... and obviously a big part of it is the state the priest is in right now.
For example, in my last run couple days ago, i drafted a rogue with two good weapons and Ooze and Harrison. 5 priests in a row, every single one of them, stole all my weapons and at least one weapon removal and when they played the weapons, i didnt draw into the weapon removal myself, but when i played the weapon, they immediatelly nuked it with my ooze/harrison. 5 games in a row, not even kidding. I still managed to win some of them, but the BS was real.
And situations like these r very common these days, since priest has so many tools to its disposal that he can pick those Thoughtsteals and Devour Minds and essentially waste a turn to get some cards. The meta is just not fast enough that priest would have to draft for early game ... just get the easily affordable brokenass dragon synergy goin and recover every single game with a T4 Duskbreaker or a simple Potion of Madness, EZ. Drakonid Operative doesnt help things either. And then there is Psychic Scream and i could go on forever ...
Arena is RNG itself, of course you need skill and general knowledge from both Hearthstone and the current state of arena but the RNG plays a huge roll from the very first moment, a bad player that gets a ridiculous draft can go a long way, yes, you have to be good enough to pick the good or crazy cards you get offered but that can be helped with stuff like Heartharena to an extent, there are games that you can win just cause you got offered way better cards than your opponent, and after like 7-8 wins you start getting nothing but insane decks, to the point where skill isn't even a crucial factor and whoever has the best deck (and thus whoever got the best drafting choices) will win unless you or your opponent make stupid mistakes that you really should not make by any means.

That T4 Duskbreakeralways pisses me off in arena. How do they always have an activator and then they steal my good cards so I have to play around 2 classes cards....

Priest is just in a very not ok place atm. But thats for a completely different discussion altogether :) Lets not sidetrack this thread (i know i started, sorry :D).
Yes, it's the reason I play Constructed and rarely ever touch Arena, having no control over what cards I get offered to pick for my deck annoys me, it means people can easily have decks which are miles better or worse than yours, which is just not fun for me. In Constructed, you are only limited by what cards you bother acquiring, no random limitation like in Arena Draft.
That is what i like about Arena the most, the randomness of the drafting process, but it is a bit out of control lately, with the specific card additions to certain classes and with the "hidden" mircroadjustments etc.

I'm guessing you were never left with a Ancient Watcher / Humungous Razorleaf / Silithid Swarmer pick as a Mage for example, it's those times you think to yourself why am I even bothering...
Yes i was, many many times. And obviously that is beyond stupid and feels very bad, but even those situations i can appreciate :)
I've lost to a 0.26% out (4 perfect 50/50 rolls into the 3 out of 70 outs for Moonglade Portal), won by getting 2 Ice Blocks from Cabalist's Tome and again lost to perfect hits from "summon a random x cost minion" all within my last 2 runs.
Kinda feels like the Game is always calculating the most impact-full, unlikely RNG result and always chooses that one. Play Knife Juggler + Stand Against Darkness with the opponent on 5 while facing lethal next turn? I'd almost be suprised, if the 5 triggers wouldn't all go face. No matter on which side of this I am.

No. Why not having a poll on this question?

Yes which is why back in GvG it was so infuriating to play arena way more than it can curretly be.

I find it more annoying, sure, but that's only because losing a game in arena matters more to me than losing a game in regular ranked play.
Similarly, I find it more enjoyable when I pull off an unlikely win in the arena than I do in regular ranked play.
