Good morning, drafting Mage this morning and STARTING off with legendaries!
Prince Kal (2 drop), Wraithion, and Hoggar - I am debating if Prince Kal is a good idea or not. I usually get 5-7 wins, and would hope for a minimum of 5. Do you think building a no 2 drop deck would have the ability to go deep or no? Just asking some opinions.

Currently attempting to get 12 Win Keys with each class. (Complete!)
I'm not too much of an arena player, but I think that that prince is mostly good if you kinda build a deck around him, not only if you don't have other 2 drops. So I'd say he's not worth it... Also mage got sick 2 drops and spells.
Do NOT, i repeat, do NOT pick Prince Keleseth in arena (if u dont want to purposely weaken your deck) ... only way this will work is if u build your deck around it and that means f*** up your early game, which means your deck will most likely suck and u will lose more games cause of no early than the few u might win cause of the prince. It is in no way anywhere near constructed playable.
You could pick him and treat him as just a 2/2 2-drop and mby have a very rare occasion, where u would draw rest of your 2-cost cards and then he would trigger, that playstyle is fine, but honestly, the other two legendaries r better choices.
Hogger is fine, tho i would probably pick Wrathion, its a good taunt and it draws u a card, solid card overall.
I think there's an argument to be made for Prince Keleseth ONLY because it's being offered on the first pick and not later in the draft, but ultimately I think that Hogger is going to be the safer, more reliable pick.

I'd take Wrathion of those three. Hogger is good but only if you're already ahead. Prince is good but only if you sacrifice 2 drops and 2 drops are too important in Arena. Wrathion is the strongest pick, solid taunt, draws you (at least, and usually only) a card.
EDIT: I didn't read Sinti's post carefully enough, he basically already said what I said. So, +1 to that.
Even as first pick, I would never take Keleseth with a mage draft. Frostbolt, Primordial Glyph, Flame Geyser, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Arcanologist, Pyros... all off the table for the rest of the draft unless you want a generic 2 mana 2/2 with an orange gem. That's too much to give up. Add to that the fact that its effect gets weaker the later in the game it's played, odds are against having in hand when it would be most effective, making it more likely to hurt you than help. My vote is for Hogger or Wrathion.

Try it! I think it will be preeety good. Just one way to fund it out
You can try to make it work since it's early in the draft, but 2-drops are generally valuable so I'd pick Hogger in that scenario.
Since it's Mage, it could work because you can draft a lot of removal and comeback mechanics, but I wouldn't risk it.
Only if you get it as your first card, so you can make sure to not pick any 2 dorps and always trigger the prince.
Very risky to take Prince and attempt to build a deck around him.
Either Hoggar is consistently better.
