If we somehow had the option to choose (not like we would but...), would you like to keep the dual class Arena around?
In my mind, I would like to have it as a separate option because I think it is really fun, I'm having more fun with it than normal arena. The one con I see to this is it might become harder to find a match in any one mode and matchmaking might be worse (really bad decks will be pitted against really good ones).
I like it, but the arena playerbase is too small to divide it up. I'd rather Blizzard have more 'special' arena weeks like this, preferably at least once a month. And it doesn't have to be dual class. They could have a week where wild cards are included again, or Naxx cards are included, or spell choices are higher-chance, or some random constant effect is always in play, etc.
I'll echo the sentiment of most others who have commented. I like it as a change-up to the usual Arena but I would not like seeing it established as the main mode. I'd prefer if Blizz introduced different rules for the Arena for a week a month or so.
As much as I really enjoy DC Arena, to keep it around permanently would be like keeping your Christmas lights up throughout the year. This special mode fits the Halloween spirit very well. For us to play pretend and keep wearing costumes to a sword fight, the spirit of Halloween would be forgotten and made into a casual, passive vibe that people will undervalue.
This was great, DC Arena, but all good things must end to make way for the next in line.
I like it as an event, bring it back every once in a while, but if they made this a permanent thing, i dont think it would be healthy for arena. Its new and exciting right now ... but after a month or two when everyone would get their part of fun, it would just be frustrating as hell to get any consistent results. Its basically an epic RNGfiesta now, even more so then UnGoro was (and thats saying someting). Mby it could develop into some kind of more control oriented meta, but i doubt it ... there is just too much variance in everything with two classes. That is good for a short time fun, but not for a long term enjoyment.
Fun and exciting (slightly frustrating) right now. I agree its novelty is great as an event only.
The dual idea might actually be feasible if they reduced the spell and rarity offerings. Right now decks are too premium, and the level of RNG is through the roof. You can't strategize around certain cards because at minimum you are playing against 2 classes worth of cards. I once played against 4 different heroes in 1 game before. Total clown show.
I like it, but separating wont help since the arena player base is too small. I think they could bring it back ones in a while - I'd welcome it with open arms.
For me - I think it would be cool if they had different arena options that ran every few weeks.
For two weeks: standard arena, next two week: 2 classes, next two weeks: 3 classes, and whatever other iterations they can think of.
That said, i'm not an arena player so understand the opinions of those that want to keep true to the format. But as a non-arena player this is the first time where I have played multiple arena runs in a row and not been frustrated with the format.
It feels just too absurd to be a permanent thing. Figuring out the power shift between expansions would take way too long imho.

I wouldn't like it to be permanent, I think that we would in the long run be a bit tired of it considering that the "good" classes will be twice as common to face as normal.
I love the event though and I am a firm believer that they should keep Arena fresh at least every month or better yet, every 2 weeks! Perhaps simply by cycling some sets out and some sets in, so that the pool of cards regularly changes. I know for sure that I would at least play a lot more arena if this was the case.
I see a lot of votes for keeping it as a separate option, but blizzard would never consider that as it would be unfair to match up regular arena with dual class arena.
No, but I'd want to see it return in future. I also want to see them experiment with rotating cards in and out of the wild sets. We need fairly regular change to the arena - so why not say for 2 of 4 weeks every month we have on old set rotated in or something...then back to standard for 2 weeks then another rotation and so on.

Im not sure i agree with that, arena meta usually takes those 2-4 weeks to stabilize. I suppose argument could be made for either side, u finally know how to draft your deck and can improve your win rate or you finally know how everyone drafts their decks and it becomes boring.
I could see it being changed up like once mid between two expansions. With every expansion, the arena would change cause of the addition of new set and after 6-8 weeks something could change. Then after another 6-8 weeks, there would be another new set released, which would change the arena and after another 6-8 weeks something would change again and so on.
So u would have these two windows that would be changing up arena on regular basis and would be somewhat systematical, so it would have an order of some kind and not be totally random and u could adjust to that ... the time between the releases of expansions and the time from middle-to-middle expansion. I think that would be slow enough to not shake up the meta too soon after new set enters play and also fast enough for arena to be fresh constantly.
Ofc main question in this system might be what that something that would change in between new expansions would be, but i dont think it would need to be anything too big (but could be), that would be the beauty of it.
Or they could just keep doing these two weeks (one week would probably be better tho) change ups more often, something like brawl every week, but this would be like one week "brawl-arena" every month. So u would have normal arena for 3 weeks and "brawl-arena" for one week.

Just curious to see what people think.

it ashould replace Arena since it has way more possible combinations.
It should be an event. But not permanent, definitely. Theyjust have to think of more such events just like they do with the brawl.
Arena is already a huge bullshit with the introduction of discover and increasing number of cards with “add a random lethal to your hand” text.
No, i want to be surprised again when i see a legendary dropped on the board.

YES as a permanent thing. I love it. It's my funnest hearthstone experience in years.
