I've hit a really good streak of decent runs lately, 8.6 average at the moment over 30 runs for this month with Hunter being my strongest class followed by Rogue. Turns out playing aggressively for board control is rewarded especially against all these slow, greedy Mages and Priests. Priest is picked equally as often as Rogue by my opponents according to my stats (13%) for KFT, which is quite surprising to me, because Priest is the class I have by far the highest winrate against (80%), even higher than Warrior. Would be interested in how others specifically rate Priest in this meta, since there seem to be a lot of different opinions on Anduin's ranking in KFT atm. I know that dreads (the player who finished #1 with 9.4 on NA last month) for example listed Priest among his best classes for his leaderboard run.
@Boozor
7.3 is definitely enough to make it on the leaderboard, #150 was 6.97 last month on NA and #100 at 7.13. Hopefully Blizzard will exclude runs from the Halloween event for the leaderboard, otherwise results will be skewed again though not as much as during the Frost Festival at least...
Insane 8.6 on EU ? IS there a big disparity on the different servers over the last couple months? I'd assume Asia is most competitive but that Is baseless perception lol
My Priest play is solid (not bad, not awesome) since KFT - but playing against Priest I dread since I do run into situations where I have to overextend if I hope to win before I get value towned. Then Dragonfire potion or a clutch mind control wrecks me. Not sure how I can work around it or if I've been running into beastly Priest decks, but my sample size has been large enough that I am probably just not playing correctly into Priests.
@hintM, the getting burned out on Hearthstone when playing it this much is really relatible. Averaging 1 run a day is really a lot, at least for me.
After being at exactly 7.00 after 18 runs I got on a heater, 'last' 3 runs (run 1 was started in last month so scary and 4 wins so was always gonna do at least 21 before Hallow's End) 12-0, 12-2, 12-0, all three with Warlock, making my best streak of 20 7.90 on average, really hope it's enough for EU leaderboard.
My run 6 was 11 so was never going to try and better that but run 2, 3, 4, 5 were 7 , 7, 9, 7, tried to better that but went 6 and 5 and gave up.
Average over last 100 runs is now 6.06, next goal will be 6.50 : )
Almost 7 months ago I started this thread. My game improved a lot since then and now I can proudly say I made the EU Leaderboard for the first time, 74th with a 7.90 average : )
Huge thanks to Auto (Winni on Hearthpwn), Zuchi (same name on Hearthpwn), NoWayOut (Trickzy on Hearthpwn) and probably some others who I might have forgotten, for helping me improve my game and cooping a part of the Leaderboardrun games with me, learned a lot from all of you! Also, thanks to true topplayer Zashiki from this thread for the advice you gave me when I asked you annoying draft-related questions again : p
Unfortunately I got close to getting sick of the game because of the huge volume of games in a relatively short time so I might not try again for a while.
If I like the new expansion meta though a few months, who knows..
Grats Vanlunturu! 7.90 on US would be top 30. Pretty big disparity wow.
As another 1st timer I was able to hit the US leader board with 7.35 win rate good for rank 94.
I haven't played hearth stone since karazhan and it was fun and refreshing to encounter several sets worth of new cards all at once. Glad that I didn't lose my fundamental skills over the long lag off :)
Hoping to keep improving as always. Grats to all the leaderboard chasers !

Woohoo, we have the same average on EU, I am #77 :D
It is my first try at the leaderboard, I had 7,67 AVG in 30 runs, but they counted 20 runs in the end.

For the November leaderboard I'm going to try a different strategy, by drafting only defensive decks and focus on Mage and Priest.
I usually only play aggro and tempo decks on both ladder and arena, but I've been playing a lot of Control Warlock and Priest on ladder recently.
First five runs: Druid 10, Mage 7 and 10, Priest 8 and 9
Very lucky start, but it also feels like there have been some micro adjustments to make mid tier classes more consistent.
