Friends of mine that mainly play constructed have asked the question of; why not use our other resource as ticket entry instead? AKA Dust.
As I deem Dust fairly valuable due to it's flexibility I was thinking the lowest an Arena Ticket would cost would be 400 Dust but would understand if it was higher. Which prompted the question. How much overall; or how much should an Arena ticket cost if you could use Dust?
Keep in mind it costs 100 dust to create a rare card, 400 per epic, and 1600 for legendary,
Thoughts?

One pack is aprox 100 dust. Dust has almost 1:1 ratio with gold, so anything above 150 dust per ticket is not worth it.
Your suggestion of 400 dust min. means that you need 11 WINS to guarantee break even! 8 WINS with really good rewards is first time you can even break even.
Sorry, I understand your idea of double Free to play currency, but you need to do some basic math before creating these suggestions.
For people responding they don't play arena - You are welcome to your opinion but it is just hypothetical :). The options are based on concrete dust disenchant levels and then range markers. Sorry if you don't like them, they were just estimations!
Lastly, because this system would allow you to essentially trade dust for gold, and if you play a strong deck or well - your gamble pays off! Arena has always been mainly about the gamble.
I appreciate all insights and thank you everyone for your opinions - I can't edit the poll after creation so we're stuck with em :)

The average dust value you get from a pack is around 100, the average wins you get in arena is around 3. Going 3-3 in arena gives you a reward worth of something in-between 150 and 235 dust. In my opinion it should cost 200, this would also help new players getting started if they get a few decent arena decks. :)
Bad idea. It's much harder to get dust then it is gold. On average you get 400 dust per 10 packs assuming you already own the cards. On average you get about 40 dust per pack. It would need to be a pack and a half so 60 dust which on average is 150 gold. Even then I would still use gold since you can buy arena tickets with real money.
This is irrelevant, it's the average that counts which amounts to 100 dust in the long run going by statistics. Once you add in the times you get legendaries, epics and goldens the average comes to 100.
Going by this an arena entry is worth 150 dust when push comes to shove.
The average pack (which you are guaranteed to get from arena) will disenchant for 100 dust. So if the price was, say, 150 dust, pretty much anyone could be infinite off arena and you would be crazy not to play it.

Well with my luck i tend to have 50 dust per pack so i prefer to gamble on gold rather than dust, which is much more valuable in my opinion. Moreover where would I invest my gold?

The thing is you probably don't. When you open a legendary - any legendary - that's 400 dust right there. Any epic is 100 dust on it's own. We just tend not to think of them in terms of disenchant values because we usually keep them (as there isn't much incentive to dust them right now unless they are dupes).
In such a world you would use your gold to buy packs to disenchant into more dust to play arena with. Or just save it and occasionally buy into arena with gold instead (the former is slightly better as you would get to keep any cards you wanted before disenchanting).
Seriously the only thing stopping most people from being infinite arena players right now is the inability to turn dust into gold - it's basically a one-way street. If you add that piece to the puzzle then anyone who can average over 2 wins per run is infinite.
I think it depends from player to player. As for myself, I don't have high expectations from Arena, usually get 3-5 wins. On the other hand I still need a lot of important cards, so dust is much more valuable than Arena tickets.

400 is way too much. You could craft an EPIC with that much dust. For an F2P player like me, that's huge.
At most, I'd make it cost around 150 dust.
Even then, it's probably good to keep both options. I personally like to keep my dust saved up for crafting things.
Why Rogue is my favourite class:
My submission for this week's card design competition.
LOL a pack with 40+ dust is only 100 gold, so 2 tickets worth 120+ dust on cards at 150 gold/ticket
Given that I would say 50-60 dust per run is a decent cost, STILL I would never pay dust for Arena, never
800 as an option? I can craft 2 epics for that. 400 is even too much. Below 100 should be the cost

the poll options have to be trolling(?)
Those are the weirdest poll options I have ever seen. Did you draw numbers out of a hat?

IMO 200 dust would be fair price.
