Same here for the latest 4 sessions. Well, will be better another time.
Anyway, even with the ugliest crap if you polish a well thought mana curve you can still pretend to 5-6 victories easily.
This guy is correct, its a really nice surprise when you get the opportunity to draft that supreme deck. I think I'm close to 1000 arena wins now, and I much prefer arena to constructed. I can have a draft with 3 rares and 27 commons and know I will get 10 wins, and I will have a draft with a legendary an epic, 4 rares and get 5 wins as my commons didn't compliment those cards. Like the quote says, generally if you know what to look for and keep your curve reasonable you can hit 7 wins pretty regularly, after that the decks that have really good cards will normally be to strong. Sometimes you just know that your arena will not be good and that's when I aim for 4-5 wins as most of the time just by playing correctly and a little luck you can get there. Watch streams OP and see what the pros look for in their drafts, that helped me a lot.
You are doing a very common life mistake, you are blaming everything on bad luck. Either you start being more clinical about the game and try to improve and learn with your mistakes ( even with a bad draft) or you will never get good. This applies to everything you'll ever do in life
My last 4-5 arena have all drafted me useless cards, just now i had a 0/3 game nothing i could do in any game as my deck was just to sub par. When i get a decent deck i normally go on a nice streak. I have been very unlucky with my drafts and there is not much i can do about it. Cant watch my mana curve due to getting so many poor spells to choose from on Paladin and terrible minions to go by.
1. Unless Blizzard is trying to get unpopular cards to see more play (which would apply for everyone, not just yourself), then there's no conspiracy and you just happen to get the short end of the stick more often than not. These things cancel themselves out in the long-term, so there's nothing to worry about.
2. Think for yourself when you draft. Don't depend on someone's tier list or w/e. If someone says this card is good, think about why he says that and whether it will fit your current draft or not. For the first ten picks or so, sure, the 'value' cards would be your go-to choices. But, from then on out you need to start choosing cards that play to your decks strengths. Ultimately, the closer you get to a deck that resembles something constructed, the better results you will achieve.
3. You'd surprised how far a deck can go if you play it to it's potential. Any combination of cards, with enough synergy, can create a win condition, as long as you play to it. You say you always try to make efficient trades and maintain board control; well maybe there's your mistake. A lot of people think that's how you win games, but to win a game you need to reduce your opponent's life points to 0. As obvious as that sounds, many people lose the point completely and become obsessed with trading for 'value', dragging out games for too long until the opponent lands a key Flamestrike/Consecration etc. to put you on the back foot and take the game away.
Once tilt begins, players are well-advised to leave the table and return when emotions have subsided. When away from the table, players are advised to take time to refresh themselves, eat and drink (non-alcoholic) if necessary, and take a break outside in the fresh air.
If none of these work in lessening tilt, players are advised to leave the game and not return to playing until they have shaken off the results that led to the tilt.
I'm not trying to act defensive, but how do my forum posts make me sound prone to frequent tilts? o.O I've posted in 6 threads total, including this one.
- Two were about theorycrafting cards.
- One was simply asking for feedback on ways to improve my deck on a budget.
- One was troubleshooting related to Hearthstone Stats.
- One was about players with Legendaries having an advantage over those who don't.
EDIT: Thanks for the information btw, it'll be helpful to keep in mind.
"- I draft a maximum of 3 or 4 rares, 1 epic if I'm extremely lucky, and absolutely 0 legendaries."
The rarity of your cards shouldn't even be in question. The best minions out there are common neutrals. I have NEVER seen a good arena player complain about the number of rares he's drafted.
Rather than making a whine post, try posting some of your recent arena runs including all available picks along with your picks, and post the result. If you really want good feedback, post that, plus a video of the 3 matches you lost with that run. If you post all that, and change the attitude from "boohoo I'm so unlucky" to "Guys I failed again, what did I do wrong?" you might actually get better :)
He is saying you are prone to tilt due to the fact that you are blaming bad luck for your misfortune.
As a semi professional poker player, I can tell you that the allure towards games which have an element of chance is that the bad players can blame "bad luck" for their bad play.
-I have played hundreds of rounds of arena. I have NEVER, even ONCE drafted: Alarm O bot or Coldlight Seer. There is no level of bad draw that would make me draft an alarm o bot. id draft a wisp over alarm o bot.
-as far as I remember, I have not done worse than 2-3 in the past...month or more.
-The fact that you complain about how many epics and legendaries you get is pretty much proof that you are pretty awful at arena. Im generally not too excited when i see that I am going to get a legendary or epic. Other than Ragnaros/Cairne/and some class legendaries, most of them are pretty awful for arena. My last arena run i got 9 wins, and drew a legendary, Harrison Jones. I did not even play him once. He was basically a dead card. about 5 arena runs ago I drew 2 legendaries, and i went 3-3, which is pretty awful for me. Epics are generally not too great either. like... what do you want? giants? Id say 50% of the time that i get an epic, i just grab a big game hunter, which isnt that great of a card for arena.
-It is certainly possible that the reason you are doing poorly is that people are just better than you at the game. People dont like to admit that the problem they are having is that they suck.
You can accuse me of just trying to blame bad luck for my own failures when the Arena is no longer a big scoop of RNG in an RNG cone with RNG sprinkles on top.
I'm not trying to act defensive, but how do my forum posts make me sound prone to frequent tilts?
No matter what I do, the Arena screws me over EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If you see a post that you find objectionable, report it, it helps keep the forum clean. But be aware people are allowed a lot of latitude.
If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.

This will help you more. Post some "arenavalue.com" rundowns so people can look at your picks and give you suggestions.
Absorb it. Carefully. If you understand how to aggro and how to control -- which are both pretty reasonable -- you can draft aggro and control decks. But most Arena decks work best as tempo decks, because Arena tends toward the midrange. If you don't know how to tempo, you can't draft a tempo deck, and you'll lose to most people who can. I read that article about a week ago, and I literally went from getting 1-3 and 2-3 every run to getting 5-3 and 6-3 like clockwork.
It's little things like understanding why you would pass up on Arcane Intellect and pick Arcane Explosion instead, or why you might want that sixth 2-drop even when you have little late-game and there's a Lord of the Arena and a War Golem showing. I know it's just one person's anecdotal experience, but learning the lessons of Arena tempo has been invaluable to my collection. :)
I looked at this card originally and I thought, you know, it's a card, and you play this card. The card will be that card that you play so you're playing a card. So, it is one thing to play a card. If you're opponent doesn't really have any cards, the card will screw up the card pretty hard, and that means it's a pretty good card.
Not tilting = you can "shrug off" losses, bad Arena card availability choices, amazing opponent topdecks which were only 5% chance to turn the game around, etc. The only things in your mind after such an occurrence should be either "oh well, I made all the right decisions in the game, in the long run I will get a lot of wins with these plays but in this particular one game, it did not work due to the chance element of this game" or "my opponent made better plays than I did, I need to improve my game in order to compete better". There should be no table flipping or whine threads involved in this process.
The existence of this thread suggest you are not able to "shrug off" these things. This is synonymous to tilting, IMO. Loss after a tight game, possibly due to luck -> tilting -> way more losses due to the tilt effect
You have probably heard of the term "poker face". Learn to adopt it even in the online environment as a "mental gaming" principle. It will improve your play significantly.
QFT!
Honestly, bad draft options happen, and they happen a lot. it takes practice and patients to still draft a viable deck and get to a point where you reach an 6 win avrg.
I posted a "whine thread" so I could get some feedback that would help me deal with awful Arena RNG, not because I was just throwing a tantrum after losing a close game.
On a serious note, if you really want to learn to deal with bad picks better. tell us what you picked over what and why. Maybe use http://www.arenavalue.com/ for a whole draft and show us the result.

No matter what I do, the Arena screws me over EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
- I draft a maximum of 3 or 4 rares, 1 epic if I'm extremely lucky, and absolutely 0 legendaries.
- I'm lucky to get a single Silence or Acidic Swamp Ooze.
- For Taunts, I usually only draft Silverback Patriarch, Frostwolf Grunt, and Ironfur Grizzly. If I'm lucky I'll get 1 Sen'jin Shieldmasta or Defender of Argus, but I never draft Sunwalker or Sunfury Protector.
- I frequently draft Bloodsail Corsair, Secretkeeper, Mana Addict, Mana Wraith, Alarm-o-Bot, Coldlight Seer, Coldlight Oracle, and Silvermoon Guardian.
- If my deck has a decent early game, I get opponents with even better early game decks and/or lots of AoE/removal.
- If my deck has a decent late game, I get opponents with really strong aggro decks and/or legendaries that crush late game.
- I usually have to choose between Priest, Hunter, Warlock, and Warrior.
Priest - I never draft Holy Nova and get 1 Shadow Word: Death if I'm lucky.
Mage - I never draft Flamestrike, Polymorph, or Pyroblast and get terrible minions.
Paladin - I never draft Sword of Justice and mostly get Secrets. If I'm lucky I'll get 1 Consecration and/or Truesilver Champion.
Rogue - I never draft Assassinate and get nothing but 2/3 drops.
Shaman - I draft 1 Hex if I'm lucky and get nothing but 4+ drops.
What do I get from my card pack? 1 Rare and 4 Commons... 150g well spent.
It's a big conspiracy, maaaan!

I really don't know what more I can do...
- I've read all of the Arena guides on IcyVeins and I reference their tier lists.
- I've read through Trump's Arena tier list.
- I've tried looking through the forums for helpful info.
- I use ArenaValue to help make my decisions, but I don't blindly follow it.
- I've watched videos of Trump and Amaz.
- I always watch my mana curve.
- I try to make well balanced decks.
- I try to avoid cards that are too situational or rely on combos (Ex: Circle of Healing, Ancient Watcher, etc)
- I always try to make efficient trades and maintain board control/card advantage.
