Sucks they're leaving arena on Wild format, but they do have a system that favors newer cards over older ones. Maybe they'll adjust that system further so old cards are like really rare.
Blizzard said they would leave Arena on Wild. Sadly.
I would have loved some more consistent drafts in arena, that would be worth losing some good cards over from old sets.
How would it get more consistent by just making the cardpool smaller, removing both good and bad cards?
That makes no sense.
With a smaller card pool, drafts will be more consistent. Class-defining cards from basic and classic would have better odds of being drafted. For example, if gvg and naxx would be removed from arena, Priest would have increased chances of drafting removal.
I think that it's great that they're leaving arena in wild format, it'll be a chance to see all those old cards in action without having to go to the ultimately irrelevant wild mode.
I also think it’s a poor decision by Blizzard to set arena as Wild and not Standard.
New players should not be forced to learn old cards. A steeper learning curve in arena will encourage new players to stick to constructed, which will make arena more difficult for regulars. And a larger arena card pool will make the game more of an RNG fiesta because there will be so many cards to think about playing around.

Arena will be good because we will get gvg packs for wild mode and i love playing wild what constructed will be full of aggro because aggro can always found new cards to replace deleted

Um, what!?? Wouldn't the need to consider more and more cards result in a higher skill cap and therefore the better players would further distinguish themselves from those less skilled?

There's a point where stuff is too rare for it to be worth playing around when you have no information about it being present or not. Like say Deathwing. You generally can't afford the tempo loss of skipping the opportunity to control the board with some aoe-resistant fatties, but that will still cost you the occasional game even as it wins you most others.

With Standard instead of Wild, there is less risk against whether opponent has avenge for buff or demon from voidcaller for example.
Also, annoying RNG cards will be removed from Standard like webspinner, unstable portal, flame cannon, bomb lobber, and imp-losion.

I think Going forward Arena will hopefully get some reward love. Maybe release a small set that can be found in the Arena? Who knows!
That being said, New Sets hopefully being consistently good (Like GvG and TGTish) will have an amazing impact on the Arena. Hopefully synergies within the draft will appear more often.
Hopefully when the Format change comes in, They'll have the Card choices switched to Sets and not just Rarity.
A GvG/GvG/GvG Common choice is a lot more interesting than a TGT/GvG/Classic Rare Choice (Because 7/10 you're going to be picking the GvG card)

You missed the thread title. This is about arena, and arena will run on the wild cardpool, as announced by blizzard.
I mentioned earlier in the thread that keeping arena in wild format instead of standard is a mistake.

It's fine, I like the card pool to be as large as possible, means more variety. For new players in the future, getting into arena is going to be extremely difficult regardless, as there will be so many cards that they won't know even half of them.

Should gvg and naxx cards also be removed from arena choices when the new formats are introduced?
Should players be given format options in arena?
Should it be left alone?
Blizzard already answered all 3 questions. No. No. Yes.
