Same here. They both have their bonuses. A certain amount of people don't know how to play nefarian either. You have to spam his hero power to ensure a win really. My win ratio is actually higher with Ragnaros than nefarian.
I rate this Brawl on-par with the banana brawl(the worst brawl). Not that RNG is bad but I just wished that they allowed to add at least ten spell cards from our collection or something that you know can help in X situation. It's like they just copy pasted the entire BRM unstable portal class challenge and allowed multiplayer in it.
hmm, I kind of hate this brawl, but I loved the banana brawl, there was a lot of strategy to deck building for BB. I had a pretty powerful echo waker deck that was fun.
AS bad as webspinner brawl. Webspinners - roll for rhino, scavenging hyena - win game (sometimes you get OP class spell too). Unstable portals - roll early legend win game (sometimes you get OP class spell too).
Only good brawls are decks we can build. Full on RNG decks are plain frustrating.
Webspinner had a lot more room for skill. This one is almost entirely made by the first who gets an auto-win card (Troggzor, Rag, Ysera, etc.), and who gets all the 0-1 drops. Plus, you just coin Portal turn 1 instead of holding on to it to setup a board for your win conditions.
Honestly, this is the first brawl I don't even want to do my quests in.
I do actually like this one though despite the RNGesus component. I don't have a lot of cards, so this is a chance for me to see all sorts of cards I probably wouldn't otherwise.

Banana brawl was quite limited, since they were spells, best deck was the one that could benefit from synergy. And only one class deals damage for using spells, and reduce their mana cost at the same time. You could try playing something else, but it was an uphill struggle when mages pulled off 14 dmg flamewaker turns at 5-6 mana.
Personally I liked the 10 mana brawl, worst case enemy pulls out alex windfury or something, but most games were very fast and contributed to fast daily gold cap, and gave a lot of exp due to you dealing huge damage from the beginning. Sure there was a lot of priest after a while, but at that point you could build counter deck and counter them (I used charge+combo druid, had very good success there).
This level of utter RNG stops being fun. Not super impressed this week but you've got to have these easy ideas mixed in with the clever ones I suppose.
I've got Jaraxxus exactly two times so far.......both games against a Warlock.......guess what spell they've been holding onto the whole game (the very left card in the hand)?
Just a coincidence? Perhaps. But I also remember Blizzard commenting about dramatic moments being what makes Hearthstone entertaining. Yeah, eSports.
He had 2 minions on board, I had none. I portaled a Millhouse Manastorm and was forced to play him.
Once again, guess what happened in his Turn 5. A Questing Adventurer plus a Coldlight Oracle to draw more cost-free Portals. To top it off, he got a Stealth spare part off of the Clockwork Gnomehe traded into Millhouse and played it on the 11-11 Questing Adventurer.
I would never keep a spell in my opening hand tbh, you really need the minions of the unstable portal. Also I don't see the point in coining out a portal.
I was going second, and it was also the only time I kept a spell in my opening hand. Didn't matter though, the quality of their minions has far surpassed that of mine. I was always playing the catch-up game in my losing streak.
I auto-conceded the last game where my opponent played a 6-4 on turn 2 and I portaled a 1-3 Northshire. Typical, what a joke.

Yeah everyone asked for this (me included) because I think everyone loved the webspinner and unstable portal challenges in adventure mode.
I think it's good that they made this so people realize how much it sucks, but hopefully blizzard learns from this and just uses it as a reminder that total RNG is super boring, in case people ask for more RNG brawls in the future.
ZERO % skill involved in this brawl, I got that garbage 4 mana 4/1 epic 3 games in a row as my first card, then I lost to late game Jaraxxus twice today. I just gave up right now because my first few cards were, in this order, Timber Wolf, Void Walker, and 3rd card was Healing totem (the 0/3 totem that heals you for 4 hp)... Again, ZERO % skill involved, last week I easily went over 100 wins, this week I think I'll stop at 12 wins. Tks Blizzard FailFish

Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game
Got to see a Shadow of Nothing when a priest opponent played Mindgames which I didn't know existed so that's something?
The curse of the unwanted sig space.
It works for me though... Central EU =D a lot of fun even though I got 2 wisps in a row

I never thought something could be so frustrating and fun at the same time
In a losing streak. Guess what my opponent topdecked from the Portal to have lethal on me in the last two games when I was also threatening lethal?
A freaking charge minion! F these coincidences.

I ain't even mad.
Pure garbage. the worst brawl yet. 100% RG. zero % strategy. Sad part is i bet blizzard comes up with an even worst brawl eventually.
Kept Sap in the opening hoping it would help the tempo a little.
Mage played his first five minions: Loot Hoarder, Argent Commander, Cenarius, Bomb Lobber, and Fire Elemental (in this exact order).
Yup, still in a the losing streak.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice - Sneak Review! http://www.thepoxbox.com/challenges.php?id=batmanvsuperman
I actually like this week's brawl, it's quite fun and unpredictable, which was the whole spirit of brawling in the first place.
Mechs will not be nerfed until the next expansion. Calling it because you need to keep the wallets happy too.
I just got Nozdormu and Master of Disguise. My opponent conceded immediately.
It is an okay tavern brawl but I preferred last weeks.
