Other amusing note on the spell choices: They don't follow normal deck limitations. Ended up drawing a third Release the Hounds while playing a hunter.
Kinda wondering what the most ridiculous spell list would be now.
Got 4 Maexxna's in a row and then played solemn vigil and Lay on hands in one turn and my opponent conceded for my first win in my first game for the brawl this week. In the reward pack I received a 400 dust card which some people refer to as Nozdormu.
I'm at 3-11 (or even more losses, don't know the exact number) and 1 win was by disc of my opponent.
I am 100% sure i am on of the few people who get fucked over by RNGesus E V E R Y F U C K I NG T I M E.
My opponents get the best beasts all the time and if that wouldn't be enough, they get the best and most fitting spells for the current board state.
Savanna Highmane, Maexnna, King Krush, Malorne, Snake Trap, Unleash the hounds, Mind Control, Lay on hands, Consecration, etc...
What do i get? All the 1-3 mana beasts, sometimes a 4 mana beast. Spells? Holy Wrath (2 times in 1 game, SO FUCKING USEFUL IN THIS BRAWL), Blessed CHampion (yea rly rocks with 1/2 attack minions and that high cost), Redemption, etc, you get the idea.
This mode is really 0 % fun if RNGesus hates you...
So damn unfair..
Hoping for something fun and/or skill involved next week. :/
I actually think this brawl is pretty fun. I mean a lot of the time there is jack shit you can do, but sometimes you can come up with clever plays. The annoying thing is that the game is a lot less stable since the brawl update. There are visual artefacts when the brawl mode loads, and since each game lasts a long time, I frequently get DCed before I can finish. It almost always happens when i have ton of minions on the field(ie I'm winning)
I have to say I really enjoyed this brawl. Yes there is RNG. And sometimes the RNG is too much to overcome. But the strategy on trade/face and how to play your hand made for some really entertaining games. Good job Blizzard.
I love this game mode. it is great to give other classes a stab at hunter cards. Warlock and Hunter still seemed to be the best. Priest had some funny moments too
I disagree with priest... I think I lost 6 games in a row with that class and then gave up. Paladin, Rogue, hunter and mage are pretty decent, hunter because of synergy (UTH, Bestial Wrath, summon random beast), the others because of AOE.
People with a winrate of under 25% are either extremely unlucky or really unexperienced in Hearthstone. I had a 70% winrate, the mistakes people were making were so annoying I simply didn't enjoy the matches. I suspect people were trying out different heroes they werent familiar with. It was fun, though, in the end, but Im glad we're moving to the next Brawl :))
I don't know if others had the same experience, but the coin had a lot bigger impact on this brawl than other game modes. Usually my win percentage is 4% higher going first in play mode, while I have a 3% higher win rate with the coin in arena.
I know it is a limited sampling size, but I played 20 games. Ten with coin and ten without. I won 9/10 games going first and only 2/10 games with coin in hand. I do know RNG also influenced the result, but did other people also have this large a discrepancy between going first vs going second.

Getting Feign Death as a hunter is amazing for this brawl!!

I got 3 blade furry on starting hand after mulligan. Pretty funny. Even more when I got an oil later on.
RNG > skill confirmed
I have the stupid druid/hunter 5 win quest, and both of these classes suck in tavern. I always face fucking OP ass rogues too.

What a total waste of time this brawl... RNG at its worst.
Lol, you must be bad if you think rogue is strong in this tavern and hunter sucks.
DJ
damn f*kin shit, I can't win even one game. I'm 0-12 since wednesday..this brawl sucks donkey balls
If you're 0-12 then RNG has chosen to screw you over. Either that or you're making wrong trades.

Hey. =)
I like how they made a brawl that is basically fair for everyone, regardless of their collection, but this brawl was just not very fun.
It would be cool if they made a format with a dust limit, like, 400 dust and under decks.

OMG Blizzard, do something NEW!
Why does my tavern brawl say: Too many portals?
I thought it would be portals, but when I play it is indeed webspinner.
