I should at least contribute something positive to the thread, I suppose.
Nothing like a 23-8 Mana Addict that you then invert with another banana and pop his wee 8/7 taunt to oblivion. Bwahaha, feels good to use a mana addict and completely dominate. Try it.
Dude, make your own. I am using a mech deck with mechs that are low tier and give spare parts, when added to the bananas on a Mana Addict raise it to hilarious levels. Just mess around with weird synergies.
I THOUGHT that is what people would do, but I overestimated them...again. All I see are the same decks that we see on ladder. Truth: People will never change unless MADE to change by circumstance. Blizzard will need to add completely weird rules to make people do that. Even then, by day 1, people will just post online and we will all be playing the same deck...
It isn't this game or Blizzard, this is humanity. A fine argument for us to be wiped from the earth by plague or some such, if I do say so myself.
This is why Tavern Brawl should only have pre made decks. That way everyone plays the same deck but not intentionally. Just hoping that both sides are more balanced than the Nefarian vs Ragnaros fight we had for the first week. I thought people would experiment things when i first played this mode with the Banana Theme but boy, i was so wrong... It felt just like playing the Ladder...
I kept playing with my custom deck (Priest) until i finally managed to win one game and that was all for me. If Blizzard want us to build deck and have REAL fun then allow the pack to be won in a Friend vs Friend Tavern Brawl game. Just keep the gold for the regular random match making in Tavern Brawl. I'm pretty sure that would help increase the positive experience from that mode.

I reckon a mode where you get the same hero but a completely random assortment of cards would be fun. You'd have a different experience each time and wouldn't worry about a deck that was more powerful than yours since they wouldn't keep it.
I'm 9-1 using a mage tempo deck. Honestly was this challenge made for tempo mages?
Turn 7+ flamewaker + hoarded bananas = ass rape only previously seen in industrial prisons. Add in an apprentice and it's gg.
Turn 6 apprentice leading to turn 7 archmage with hoarded bananas? Follow it up with a turn 8 Dr. Balanced and you can actually hear your opponent's heart breaking
I slightly modified my standard tempo Mage I use in ranked, took away the card draw mostly, a few weaker 1 mana filler spells, some situational cards removed, and added more solid cards, an extra azure, etc etc. Tears ass.
Yesterday I am face Tavern Brawl and I face two mage. I faced them right in the face *SMOrc* and I got turn 5 lethals. Me am so much skill that, I I didn't play any more. *Be nice to people, nope. Turn five lethal, yep.*
That way you can see that playing face hunter will always win you brawls, except when they put restrictions so that you can't play face hunter.
Cant play face hunter... *BibleThump*
So yeah if you really want to get that card pack, don't waste your time with building a deck around an archetype, just play face hunter and win. *Kappa 123*
I refuse to play against a class because I lose to it BabyRage - I wont try and improve or alter my play that's outrageous
completely outrageous. Playing to have fun. Nothing to lose anywhere in the game's rewards system for skipping the matches that aren't fun. It's what you're supposed to do. It's an option by design.

I am also having great fun with Mana Addict, although I'm not abusing it quite as hard as you as I don't run any sources for Spare Parts.
The sexy bit is that Deviate Banana locks in the Addicts temporary boost. Thus, for example :
Mana Addict + Big Banana + Deviate Banana locks in the two +2 Attack boosts (albeit as minion Health) to leave you with a 5/7 which gains +2 Attack until end of turn whenever you play a spell.
This is an excellent example of what Tavern Brawl should be trying to achieve - making an unplayed card extremely potent for one week only.
Well played, Blizzard.

I refuse to play you so I insta concede. Record is 10 in a row.
Ten in a row? You should build some anti-mage decks.
For all mages around we thank you.

All i face its face hunter and mages.

I found control hunter very nice against mages, you just need to build a deck around bananas and you will be fine lol
Finally my Gahzilla + Pyro combos are working. 1024 damage to face gg sir.
They should just remove the 100 gold per day cap, for stop people coming here treating about the game.
I'm 2 n 0 with a basic warrior Murloc . But I didn't play any mages.
This is a popular mage deck
using kezan mystic on all my decks that card wins games alone.

I made 7 match up today ... got 0 Mage.
When i thought i was out, they pull me back in.
