after my first win (with nef) I started winning with Rag a lot. In fact, I just realized if I win with him he stays in play. I'm 4-0 with him so far. I wonder if Blizzard will release the final data to show which one is the true master. I like Rag cuz you have to think so much more, and the wins feel more rewarding.
No, i dont find playing as Rag fun ... cause all u do is pray to RNGesus to have taunts in your opening hand and then aoes, preferably Lucifron and then u mindlessly bashing away your weapon charges to get more RNGesus prayers with your "new" hero power. As Nefarian at least the RNG on your hero power is kinda fun, and u can play the spell right away and do some crap with it. That being said, this launch disapointed me big time, it is fun for like 5 games, then it becomes very dull. Hope next week will be better.
I enjoy Rag more. He has a more interactive game style. Nef is all about flooding the board and needs much more RNG to do well when both players seem to be equal.
After playing quite a bit of games I came to the conclusion that if both players are equally skilled and have learned the decks, Rag will win unless Nef has a lot of luck on their side (such as T1 or T2 Val or RNG'd great spell). With Rag you spend your first 6 turns controlling the board above all else and then when you have the big hero power you just shut the other guy down.
Win with Nef: so what he's (purportedly) better Lose with Nef: You suck, delete game now Lose with Rag: Who cares? It was expected. Win with Rag: Eat it, clown!
Rag by a mile.

You can only win with rag with luck and perfect play. You can win with Nefarian just... easily. Ridiculously easily. Losing as Nefarian is unbelievably frustrating because you're just sitting there getting absolutely wrecked by utter and total bullshit bad luck.
It would have been heaps better if you could get the other two matchups - Nef vs. Nef and Rag vs. Rag. At least then there's some variation. Obviously doesn't work thematically, but hey.
I'm sitting on about a 7-5 record on Rag right now. Lost the first 2 games before I started to really get a hang of the deck. It involves skewing how you normally think about HS. The armor and 2 cards seems great, but it's really only a mana dump. If that's all you have on turn 3 than the 5/1 magma rager is better. Taking 8 to the face is more than a fair trade if it means finishing off a creature with your weapon. There is very little instant damage from Nef beyond lucky spell draws. Something like putting down the 6/6 taunt and running Rag into the 7/7 will likely mean it's dead.
Played High Justice Grimstone. Opponent Mind Controls it next turn. Then he plays Redemption and Duplicate. Then he plays Drakonid Slayer and taps and gets Frost Shock to use on my Living Lava. Next turn I kill his Drakonid Slayer, he gets two of them. Kill another minion, it comes back to life. Grimstone that he stole summons Cairne, of course.
Yeah the balance is total garbage because the Nefarian hero power is random. They basically balanced it so that if Nefarian rolls nothing but frost shock and deadly poison, he'll win 50% of the time against an average ragnaros draw.
But sadly nefarian can get free mind control, sprint, twisting nether, assassinate, flamestrike etc. So. Yeaaaah. Everything is equal except for the fact that the game was balanced as if Nefarian didn't have a hero power.

Frost Shock every turn would actually be very good, so you could delay Ragnaros weapon swings indefinitely. I think the matchup is actually pretty balanced overall. Nefarian getting a Mind Control is obviously more exception than rule, although I understand it still blows if it happens.

GO TEAM RAG!
If you're happy and you know it... well that's good :)

I'm literally 1-6 with rag and 4-0 with Nef. Something is really wrong here. Btw, I don't play aggro decks.
I love Rag!
...Literally the entire reason is that I love spamming DIE, INSECT. But still!

RNG FUN
I don't think Rag is insta-concede material, but he's slightly behind Nepharian. Maybe that's why winning with him is so much better.
I'm having more fun just steamrolling Rag after Rag by auto-conceding until I get Nef. 90%+ winrates are fun.
