Lots of complaints that there isn't enough Shiny. Sorry, the games are for Fun and if you have to have rewards for fun then I don't know what that says about you
I played long enough for a chance to play both characters and their decks. Enjoyed the chance to try something different for change.
btw.: It seems to me Brawl is just a testing platform for new cards.
How so? All of the non collectible cards playable this week would be super broken in the real game. You could argue that they are doing tests for the nerved version of the cards, but why? It wouldn't be accurate feedback because of the power jump, and they could just internally test to get better feedback, and not let everyone know what the next cards are going to be.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I returned to this game much like how a recovering alcoholic can relapse.
I was really hoping it was Tournament mode, then when they announced it wasn't I was disappointed but willing to give it a chance.
Now after playing it...really Blizzard? If it doesn't get exponentially better in the coming weeks it will be the most disappointing thing to come from Hearthstone. With this amount of RNG involved may as well not even be a card game just play roulette or slot machines.
All these people complaining about incentives need to realize that this has the same amount of incentives as ranked mode. The only differences are the shorter games and you can't complete class dailies this week. Which makes sense because this is a free mode. If it had more incentives than ranked, there'd be no reason to play ranked.
The Tavern Brawl Hype was really big. Unfortunately Blizz just threw it away. This isn't even a game mode for new players. Just change your region and start from scratch. It takes a rather long time to get to finally enter. By then you might have read the overwhelmingly negative reviews and might be turned off and uninstall the game.
Even if this was open for everyone it would really turn me away as a new player. Don't get me wrong I would probably enjoy the Tavern Brawl with all the rng and legendaries and stuff. But then I would go into my collection and would start playing only to see how much I have to do before my collection even has 10% of the Tavern Brawl. At this point I would probably quit and never return. This is the same reason I never finished Prototype.
I have to agree, blizzard had a chance to breath new life into this and they blew it. Ive gone from watching every stream going never missing a tournament and playing every chance I had - to watching hots stream and play hearthstone once every 3 days to do the quests.
People complain for absolutely no reason in this thread, unbelievable. The rules changes every week and if you don't like some specific week, just don't fucking play it, how hard is that? It happened to me that I didn't liked the first week, did you see me make a stupid thread on this forum about it? Nope, I just didn't played it after my first win. Guess what, I tried this second week with bananas and enjoyed it, awesome for me! What if I didn't enjoyed ANY of the rulesets? Hey, what about I could just continue playing ranked/arena JUST AS BEFORE WITH NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER?

I'd rather do cool combos in the main game. Not goof around mode.

you play the same damn thing for one whole week. The theme should stay the same however the cards should be continuously changing I think.
Maybe with more cards it will get better.
the big issue is how badly balanced it is.
The format, I can live with. But they need to actually..playtest it.. next time.
