How can you play this as the mage? I must have tried this brawl about 15 times so far (Lost every single one btw!) and I only get to play as druid?
It seems horribly unbalanced as well. The boss attacks our faces so often that even if I'm lucky and draw all heals, it's not enough to save us both from the continuous smorcing for 6-12 damage to each face.
Edit: Nevermind. 16 losses in a row is enough for me. Fuck that classic pack reward :D
That's extremely unlucky... You just have to keep you and your partner alive. There are enough healing tools in your deck, make them draw cards/get additional crystal, put enough minions on board so they take part of the damage... That should do
Even if I'm doing it with two accounts working together it's just frustrating and impossible. Every time one of the two goes below it Double Zaps and I lose. Even when trying to combo Millhouse Manastorm and Jungle Moonkin you either don't have enough spells in mage's hand or you don't have one of the two pieces in druid's hand and you get destroyed by his Double zaps with 8/10 attack on turn 8...
This tavern brawl is annoying because he has 2 abilities that damage the heroes. It would have been fine if the "Deal attack damage to both heroes" is his only way of damaging heroes. Instead, you get the RNG "Deal attack damage to random targets" which just makes getting him to below 20 HP pointless. In the end, this tavern brawl is not about teamwork, it's all about RNG.
It was a bit frusterating, but only when you get a moric partner... I conceded on turn 3 when my partner coin-hero powered 1, and hero powered 2... I finally got a decent partner on my 6th or 7th try and won.
It’s funny - when they first did this brawl, it wasn’t that hard. However, as I play it I notice how many cards have been nerfed since then. They didn’t rebalance the brawl with those nerfs in mind.

Apologies to my first partner; I am dumb and forgot how this one works. I just got so excited about a 7-minion Savage Roar turn that I opted not to trade in one of them...
This was tougher than usual, though. I don't think I'd ever lost one of these prior to this version. Seems like there are a lot of fairly useless cards in the decks and not enough good combo pieces. Kept trying to set up the Mirror Image --> Junglekin Moonkin + Millhouse for a big spell turn, but it just requires too many pieces.
I didn't even realize that Brann was in the Mage deck until my third or fourth play-through. That's what ended up carrying us as I was able to land an Ancient Mage on that and an Azure Drake and go off with a bunch of spells over the next two turns.
This brawl has no replayability value. I usually like the co-ops, but this one is nonsense. It's not that it's a really difficult boss to beat, it's that you and your co-op brawler need s**tloads of luck to do it. It took me 6 tries to manage it (after the first two I really just wanted to see how long it will take), random brawls, not friendly co-op, and all I can say is it didn't bring me any satisfaction, not winning it, not playing it. Will definitely avoid this brawl in the future.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tried twice, won twice
Not fun at all. At least update the decklists please. Nerfed wild growth and Aviana are definitely feels bad plays. Biology project would be great.
This is garbage, the boss is at 10 attack by turn 6 every time. This might just be the first brawl ever where I don't get the pack, cause screw this.
I really liked this tavern brawl. Working with a random player was a nice change. It took about 10 tries. Nearly got there a few times.
N
Fucking hate this one. I don't remember being so angry about Tavern Brawl.
lol, the salt is real here.
Me and my friend loves co-op tavern brawls. However this is not one of the good ones, the decks were awful.

funny
This feels kinda impossible... both me and my ally play to our best but we just get oneshot by 16 attack damage to the face every turn. Nice.
How to create the most exciting experience:
I cant win this wtf
Terrible and broken AF. Finally after 20 attempts WE won. #neveragain

I had a promising-looking hand but my partner (Mage) pinged my Darnassus Aspirant to death making me lose faith in humanity.
Got it on the 3rd attempt though.
Auto squelch. That's all I'm asking for.
