Well, can't fault the players for playing the only viable broken strategy available to them. There are several people who take advantage of such unbalanced TBs in order to quickly farm their daily 100 gold for wins. And guess what, some of them even mock you for not playing the same boring decks as if obtaining 100 gold per day is the only thing to aim for.
Now that Patches the Pirate is not around this time, Pogo-Hopper is by far the most broken mechanic in this brawl. If you want to grind daily wins fast just pick the card and roll.
Pogo games are decided within the 1st turn. Either you play the hopper and watch the enemy auto-concede within couple of seconds, or the enemy plays the coin and two hoppers and you auto-concede. Then you jump into the next game repeat. One can easily cap the 30 wins within an hour.
Like Patches Pogo Hopper should've been banned in this brawl but that just leaves the spot for Scavenging Hyena, Murloc Tidecaller, or other low-cost minions with a similar exploitable broken mechanic.
If you want to give this brawl a try and you want to go for something that is not fully brain dead and more fun, I recommend giving Dragon's Hoard a try. By far it has been most fun card I've tried so far and since class legendaries are in general quite op its also a pretty good card.
I've always found the discovery mechanic fun and I think this brawl would've been much better if they had used the same rules but limited the pool of playable cards into for example discovery cards only.
For those having trouble coming up with fun ideas, I found EVIL Quartermaster and Frightened Flunky to be quite fun. The Quartermaster seems to have a high win rate for me. I'm not encountering too many Pogo Master decks as I'm sure it's quite boring to load up a match and get to play only 1 card before the opponent concedes. Anyway, I would recommend just going through each class and find something interesting to try. Not much reward gold-wise in replaying so it's all about fun!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I will play Yogg when I'm a turn away from death and you will like it no matter the outcome.
I went Doomsayer with warrior and just kept roping a pogo-player while armoring up and playing the bois so yeah pretty disgusting Tavern Brawl one of the worst I have ever played and f*ck you Blizzard Activision you lazy pricks.
Only good side is that games are really fast and all dont play pogos. You have like 66% chance to win or lose in 5 turns, its superfast to grind daily 100. But it's not a reason to play brawls like this.
I find frost nova works well, mage has more consistent face damage and better random cards on average
Frost nova, it isn't 100%, but you can ping face until you get something decent to out damage his dagger face
had a time getting a turn 1 concede with Pogo Hoppers on my first match. Decided it was my last match before the copycats flooded the whole mode
interactivity: 0/10
replayability: 0/10 (playing is a relative term here)
ez pack: 10/10
Bad brawl design (no variation once everyone catches on to what's busted good), but thanks for rewarding my laziness, Blizzard. A cool 135 dust.
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Pogo Hopper should be forbidden in this brawl

Those who cannot remember their card history are doomed to repeat it.

I constantly gniffel while playing my own idea
I crafted mogu cultist for this. After randomly getting interested about its text
Now, Just survive till turn 6 or 7 depending on drawed cards and the coin.
I dont care about the obviously broken stuff. My strat needs to actually have good counter conditions met if i want to pull it off
Fire Hawk is decent if your opponent is discovering cards.
Lorewalker Cho makes for a very long game bouncing coins or spells well past the regular turn length.
Worst brawl ever (returns?).
Who draws more Pogo-Hoppers wins. YEA. AWESOME!!

And of course if
1) You play with friends
2) Get opps that "selfban" pogohopper.
-D
Just make the pogo hopper players suffer. Play ice Block 🤣 if only that card wasnt banned
I farm the Pogos with the Frost Nova. :)
Super easy
