One of few brawls that I played even after getting the pack. I can understand the "too hard" hate train, Blizzard has been spoon feeding one pack per week with easy brawls.
This one is a lot harder than other brawls and requires thinking about the opponent's and your cards. I can easily see people making mistakes like playing minions straight into the Fear spell and then whine "too hard" in the forums.
My favourite thing about this brawl is everyone on this forum complaining because its too difficult.
Never underestimate how bad people are at this game :)
Seriously. Why are people having so much trouble with this? It's not nearly as RNG-dependent as it's being made out.
It’s psychology. I actually came out here to shit on this brawl too after 0-3, but I read some replies first. Getting stomped with no hope while you learn the silly combo feels pretty bad. Question is whether the thrill of combo-ing the stupid head and a pack reverses that crappy feeling. I dunno, I’d rather play dual Arena.
I couldn't quite win with pirate after maybe 5-7 tries. I guess the win condition is the big pirate but it always get deathed... I guess it lies in RNG for him to not have it.
Mage is about ~30% win rate for me. It depends pretty hard on what I draw. Though if you can survive in early game while hoarding a few good spells you would win. The issue is you are often pressured into burning resources.
Cat, however, is pretty easy, I can get about 60% win rate with that.
No, you do not need awesome RNG, all you need with cat is a full board + savage roar and head will easily die (put phase 1 low but don't kill it too early berfore hand)
And for a wide board, you can abuse the pumpkins, rhino + any 1 attack minion means you get to spawn 4 cats for free. After which you can infest (rhino, cat, infest cost at most 9). This gives you lots of minions (value) to allow you to constantly fill the board. So even if the opponent board clears you can still maintain/fill board after. With which once you get a wide enough board and can roar, win you the game.
The time I lose is when I'm pressured too hard in the beginning which causes me to waste resources.

It's not overwhelmingly hard, it's just not a complete gimme.
For me: - Mage = easiest - Cat = medium - Pirate = hard
Mage has a of cards that allow for counterplay. You win by using molten reflection on a big dumb idiot. Getting to that point is not all that hard given the heal and removal you ahve. Wild Growth is important. Pro-tip, Wild Growth for 4-mana on turn 10 is 4 cards.
Cat is fine. There's adequate removal, and you can generally maintain a board because of the passive hero power. Getting value on infest is really important, otherwise you'll topdeck pretty quickly.
Pirate seems to be the most draw dependent, and therefore the most "hard." But with a good draw, it's actually pretty clear cut. Weapons need to come early because you have to make him use spell removal instead of pumpkin removal. Don't play big pirate guy until you see SW:D played.
just play as witch, and the goal is to stabilize, put the horseman at very low health, build up lethal on board in one shot, and gg.
It's not even fun. It's just a matter of replaying till you get a good draw/curve. What a waste of time for one pack.
After 4 failed attempts as both witch and pirate, I switched to Cat.
I built a wide board, used infest twice in a row. End of game.
This brawl is pure shit.
20 trys no chance at all!
EDIT: finaly with the pirat...one pirat gets stronger for each card you play
Can I commend on the fact that this is THE WORST Tavern Brawl I have ever done.

Why is there no option on the poll for us angry folks?
i could kill him with simple cat used to finish (rhyno and savannah highmane) but i found a tick..
cat -> use rhyno + owl (silence the head) + some poison card (giant wasp).
lol
"Waste of time" on a game that is fundamentally a way to "waste time"
I guess planning a decent Co-Op Brawl is just too hard...
Sometimes i feel like team5 is trolling us.

Took Cat, lost.
Took Witch, lost.
Took Pirate, finally won, never playing this boring one-sided trash brawl again.

This is just my take so YMMV.
