Who else has had a moron teammate that thought we were fighting each other?
This tavern brawl is definitely better with friends who you can communicate with.
I just had a game where a moron teammate played Nat, the Darkfisher when I had a full hand, causing me to burn several cards until it was thankfully destroyed by the boss. This meant that in the end, I died by fatigue.
Or how about when you have played Raid Healer and instead of healing your hero and thus healing both of you... they just heal their own hero,
Or worst, when your Priest teammate would rather watch you die than heal you!
Ugh,I hate this kind of brawls,it takes ages to get the pack and I find them horribly boring.... I mean, this is a CCG not something in which your supposed to work together.... Well I guess it's fine since we got a nice brawl last week and at least it's not Spiders or Deck Assemble....
I agree - very boring until you find a "clever" enemy ...
I have said this before and I will repeat it every single time we get one of these braindead, non functional, pointless and just frankly insulting brawls that promote 'co-op'.
The game's not built for it and yes, you can certainly have fun in it but it ain't what folks who actually want co-op in Hearthstone to be like... its a novelty idea that has been run into the ground from repeating this brawl time and time again.
Don't play it; it's not worth your time and effort because if you actually wanted co-op in Hearthstone you would ask for a Co-op mode of some kind. May that be a 2v2 game mode, a coach mode of some kind, a co-op adventure or something else that folks haven't thought of yet (or have but have been burried in an ocean of 'Oh you just don't want co-op in Hearthstone' comments because folks don't tend to read more than the first paragraph here on Hearthpwn).
Don't take me wrong, I like the idea of a Co-op mode of some kind... that's why I find this brawl so distasteful because it ain't a Co-op brawl... its an excercise in frustration and bland gameplay as it doesn't actually play on the notion that one has to work together; it builds on the notion of 'If one goes down, you both go down' which is NOT the same thing as actual cooperation.
Oh and because I think this should prove my point a bit better, I am going to provide a list of 'the most' cooperation (in my experience AND opinion) of games from the top of my head to the least:
Portal 2
World of Warcraft (and other MMO:s i.e. ESO)
League of Legends (and other MobA's i.e. DotA2)
Overwatch (and other teambased shooters i.e. Dirty Bomb)
Dawn of War (and other strategy games i.e. Starcraft)
One can easily go on and on... but this mode is built on the basis of a game where you fight your opponent and the mode hasn't been changed AT ALL! The engine, the presentation, the actual implications of the mechanics, etc. ...
This is just a waste of a brawl because it adds nothing to the game but an insult to those who wished for things like Two Headed Dragon or a Co-op adventure. Screw this brawl as it genuinely doesn't add anything to the game...
I've done it multiple times and won every time. Maybe I'm just lucky but unless your teammate is drunk and doesn't understand what the game mode is, it's super easy as long as you take account of the different phases and things that can happen and don't blow your whole load early. Who cares if it doesn't meet whatever criteria you have for it being "co-op"? It's actually interesting and different, unlike the majority of brawls which aside from the last one all seem to basically be "who has the best RNG".
The only Thing that is necessary for a secure win is Patience on both sides. Then you will eventually have a 120/120 windfury minion and two times heal 4 hero power. You can only throw the game with abysmal luck or a moron that Plays the key Cards (divine Spirit/inner fire) too early or on minions which are going to die.
I've won 3 times now and I've never gotten inner fire at a time that it mattered... So I don't even think that's needed. My guess is that people often concede when they would have won! They're clearly not control players. some players just haven't trained for a game that goes beyond turn 8
haha, this happened to me too, though we won anyway. I kept on pointing at the stone gargoyle and he kept on buffing the doomsayer XD it took him 3 turns to realize it was a bad idea.
but unless your teammate is drunk and doesn't understand what the game mode is
I'm offended, I have been drunk and won it most times. You are correct in that the key is understanding the phases and not blowing the wad too early. Keep using shaman hero power and just drop any trash and not attack and you can easily soak up the 10 damage missile barrage.

"Is anyone having a problem where the screen freezes? I'm on mobile and when my teammate uses the draw 2 or gain 8 life card the card stays on the screen and locks up my game."
yep. had the same problem and I challenged a friend in the same room to see if we could duplicate it and I couldn't do anything but it showed on her screen that I was just timing out.
I also had moments when I couldn't play certain cards but could play others... like those cards weren't valid or something. not fun, and I'm sure my partner was not enjoying my forced bad choices :(
This brawl is actually one of my favorites because you need to work with the other player. I feel to anyone who plays brawl past the first day are actually mostly casual players rank 20 and do not understand all the mechanics.
i feel even if your board is cleared you can still win with chip damage. I feel priest has the most control and can carry if you don’t swap hands on key turns.
How can anyone win this? And I don't mean because of the difficulty of the brawl - I figured out how to do it after my first loss to Nefarian's third form. I mean because everyone playing is such a BONEHEAD! I mean, I'm no Legend player - I never reach high on the Ladder, and I make plenty of dumb mistakes. But I have played this fricking thing 12 times and every single partner I have kills us with dumb mistakes! Buffing their Mukla and not their Stoneskin , healing themselves and ignoring me as I die, burning all their resources on the first phase of the fight... I give up. I have one day left, but I don't care. Love Nefarian, love co-op brawls, but apparently in this one no one who actually knows how to play is trying it.
Maybe that's why I am so frustrated - I have played 12 times and my partners always murder us. If I am losing because I was too busy the first day it came out and no one is replaying it who actually knows how to play, then that would explain a lot.
I loved the last time this Co-Op happened, and I like how it has changed a bit this time. Sucks some people can't find "Competent" players. Maybe you should just battle someone on your friends list if you don't want to PUG. Easy 40 dust. lol
I happened to find a good player, and the co-op mechanic is great, completely changes the way you see your opponent and its cards. I was surprised though that after Nefarian dies, that it's Game Over, with both of us surviving. I had the Anduin hero and got the hero power upgrade, which basically saved my ass going from 6 health to 22 in a couple of turns. You're right about the dust....who doesn't have just about every classic pack card at this point, with a fire sale on Silence....3 owls and Spellbreaker.

How are people still so bad at this?

the funny part when the ally preist decides to play mill preist and mill all your combo pieces with cold light oracle
Fuckin how many times have I had a 30 HP minion die before the last phase because my opponent attacked into Nefarian with it.
I am shocked at how bad these people are.
