I almost won as Kel'Thuzad with the double damage blade and a good board, then the Rafaam got Forbidden healing for 20 and 0 mana board clears and it was GG.
SO ANGRY!!
Current score 6 wins with Rafaam, 0 with Kel'Thuzad.
Did anyone at Blizzard try playing these decks against each other before releasing this brawl? If they did, surely they would have noticed how ridiculously unbalanced the decks are.
I don't get it, don't they have stats about last time? Most people logically concede if they're not Rafaam. Very week concept.
they changed it from last time. Unfortunately, it nerfed Kel hard. His HP doesn't have anywhere near the value that Raf's does.
But I think the biggest issue, as people have pointed out, is that Raf has far too much and far too efficient removal. This made sense when Kel's HP was to revive a minion. But since now it's "add a full cost low value minion to your hand", Raf's removal arsenal is unbalanced.
Rafaam's HP should not give a huge discount. His deck removes all of Kel'Thuzad's minions very easily, so we're left with the HPs, and the disparity in value is huge. I've never been offered Rafaam and I only got my pack because I got really lucky and the other player didn't play well. I'm a masochist and I still can't play this Brawl again.
I started only playing with the rare level hero power haha. I lost once :O :O :O :O
Opponent played perfectly and had perfect curve, perfect RNG from outcomes and perfect draws lol.
With the rare-only power you have a SORT of an equal hero power to KT and your hand has 2 dead cards in it the entire game too which actually is annoying.
The only times I won with him is when the opponent screwed themselves by changing their hero power. If Kel' had some way to clear the board once or twice it might balance.
Lol, you don't know if you had your cards die? I just find if funny because I don't play at tournament level, but I tend to know every card I played and such every game, in this brawl, I don't know the deck, but I still memorize cards I played and that died...
Dude I'm not going to remember on turn 26 of game 30 if Feugen died 15 minutes ago EVERY GAME.
Hearthstone is weird in this way that it has cards that care about "the graveyard", like N'Zoth, Yogg Sauron or Onyx Bishop, but you have no way to see what cards died during the game. Wait, I said "weird" when I meant "badly designed in almost every way" lol.
But good thing there's an upcoming MASSIVE UPDATE that will let you copy/paste decks and like... yeah that's about it. Finally after 3 years they fixed the most MAJOR flaw of their game lol. Man I hate them.
Kel'Thuzad is literally unplayable. It's best to just autoconcede when you have the chance.
And yet almost all my wins have been with Kel.. You just need to know how to play him.
Yeah sure if your MMR is so low that you play against new players that dont know how to play then sure you can win with KT.
But dont fucking post here and be like "You all suck, you just need to l2p you noobs. KT is actually balanced even though everyone can clearly see its not."
So the match favors Rafaam. Don't make it out like winning with KT is impossible. I've just stomped the last 5 people I played against using KT cause most people just keep quitting till they get Rafaam and then still lose. Maybe you should l2p. It's not that hard to win as KT

The only thing you need to do with Rafaam is to mulligan for the staff pieces and it's already GG if you get only 1 in your opening hand. This brawl is unbalanced as heck.
Makes you wonder what on earth they are thinking at BLizz when they design these brawls.
One Hero Power - get a random card from 1 set. The other Hero power - get increasingly strong cards with increasingly big discounts. OH I WONDER WHO IS BETTER OFF :|?
And it's so easy to balance. Why Blizz why do you hate balance so much?!

Holy crap I did it! I beat Rafaam!!
Only because the other player was terrible and played into my duplicate secret with Feugen on the board twice!
So stupid.
I got Brawl quest.
Expected fast concede games.
Instead had to lethal all my KT opponents, wasted a lot of time.
Don't understand such people.
Have 6-0 with Rafaam now.

this brawl is time consuming though... and I feel Kel's got better chance of winning.
my decks (comments appreciated):
Lyra's Dragons (standard) | C'Thun Druid (standard) | Lyra's Prince (standard) | C'Thun Undead (wild)
Horribly imbalanced. Need a lot of luck to win as Kel.
Okay, so I finally won as KT because my opponent never got his board wipe.
Death to all who oppose the Horde!
So does Kel have ANY board clear at all? Anything? Never saw a damn thing in this game...

Did they even playtest this?

Fun concept, but Kel' is way to underpowered.
