Seriously, is there a bias for newer spells? I've now gotten CotW 17 times and tree of life 3 times. I can't possibly be that unlucky, can I?
I don't think so but it sucks, i don't even want to win i just want to vaporize everything with tree of life combo but i get fucking CoTW after long ass game <_<
Smoked a Mage with, basically, Zoolock. His deck must have been terrible.
Everyone is running mage for some reason. I assume it's some deck posted on here. They don't realize this brawl is basically the mother of coin flips so. Yah. The one time you can play a netdeck and have it not matter, you still sabotage your brawl guys. Woo.
I haven't used any decks in here in Tavern brawl, but when you get a free spell after you play a minion, the first class that comes to my mind is mage. Mana Wyrm, Flamewaker, Demented Frostcaller is to OP to not play when you have free spells. I also included Red Mana Wyrm to win the game, and Summoning Stone for some wisps:D
Mage is obviously the best class, followed probably by Rogue.
I've had 100% win rate over 6 games with Hunter: beasts on curve, beast synergies, 2x Flares and 2x Kazan's Mystique (28 minions, 2 flares). There are so many random traps being cast each games that it can be very difficult to play around them, especially considering that each deck is packed with 1/2/3 drops generating all available traps. Out of those 6 games, 2 were won by stealing traps.
The flip side of these 'win' stories is having to play for nearly an hour against this sort of stuff with a new account just to get a pack ... isn't there some sort of MMR that's supposed to help?
Having lots of fun with this brawl. Doing very well with Arcane Anomaly, Mana Addict, Stonesplitter Trogg, Burley Rockjaw Trogg, Millhouse, Kobold Geomancer, Dalaran Mage, Archmage, and good class minions such as Priest of the Feast.
So far I've only lost to a Mage also carrying the Arcane Anomaly/Mana Addict/Trogg package, and to an agro Paladin who got Small-Time Recruits on turn three as a random spell.
Wow, people are just clueless at this thing. Why on earth would you put a spell or weapon in your deck? I won on 4 F2P accounts with just basic zoo-type crap. Class doesn't matter either, just know how to play and what cards to pick. I mean Questing Adventurer and Flamewaker are nice, but hardly are needed for a win.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

Yes there is an MMR. Also you can build a decent deck with just basic cards, just keep in mind how the brawl works and you be good.
All you need to do to cheese this brawl is flamewaker + 20 something 1 drops. I added in some card draw like acolyte, bloodmage, novice engineer, but you can do fine with 28 1 drops. The spells you get don't matter, you just spam them to trigger flamewaker.
Oh, and I included small time bucc + patches just for the luls. I'm sure seeing a mage play STB + patches turn 1 in a tavern brawl will trigger some people. (even better if you get a upgrade from playing small time)
Pirate warrior who?

I'm running a Buff/Charge Paladin deck, 20 pt damage swings are fun.

Zoolock totally destroys decks in tavern brawl.
