Rewards wise would the people whohave done it say it's worth it?
If you ask all of the people who played: The answer would clearly be no. Simply because on average (all games counted) you get three wins (for every win there is a loss and after 3 losses you're out) and with three wins you still did not reach the break even point. So most People who Play this brawl will not get in value what they paid for.
However, I expect that most people who post here will have done better. Noone is coming here and brag about his 0-3 run only to hear how dumb he is to have participated in heroic brawl.

I mean, that's one way to look at it. Personally I enjoy the experience, so far in fact, that I was coerced in doing a 3rd run. It's not just the rewards, you have a certain drive here that you don't really find in ranked.
Interesting brawl, cool idea, but I have no use for packs because I already have enough dust and all the good cards in the game. I will rather save gold for the future expansion :)
I went 4-3 and I would play the brawl again, but not this week. As a player who hasn't got the time to hit the higher ranks its nice to see decks I use work on(what I assume are) higher ranked players. I don't even feel like I lost that much gold, as I got 5 packs (500 gold) 190 gold and 190 gold (approx. 4 packs of dust so around 400 gold at this point in the season).
The only thing that was annoying is that I used up gold before an expansion so I have less for the next set. If this reappears end of January or February when ranked settles down a bit and I have most of the cards I want from the Mean Streets, I'll be happy to pay again.
average pack dust is 100, so you won 500+190+190=880 gold
Went 3-3 with control Warrior, should have had a guaranteed 4that win but I lost due to a mistake I made myself involving sylvannas so can't take anything away from that other then my own screw up lol
4-3, but pretty happy with the rewards, regardless:
5 packs ~240 gold ~190 dust
Got my Yogg back from one of the packs, too.
In case anyone's interested in what I used and how my matchups went, I played a dragon Priest deck, based on the one here (http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/670469-rdus-insane-dragon-priest) with some changes made. VS: Midrange Shaman: 3-2 Renolock: 1-0 Control Priest: 0-1
All 3 losses were pretty frustrating because it was only due to lack of drawing any dragons to trigger effects regardless of mulliganing for them. So I'd be stuck with, say, Harrison Jones and 2x Blackwing Corruptors in hand. Not so great. Games that I drew my early game the deck absolutely destroyed.
I went in with Dragon Priest and ended up going 8-3! 7 out of 11 games were Shaman and I went 5-2 against them specifically. Definitely not going in again lol.
Broooo gz! I would never have had the Courage to try it with Dragon priest, although it's my favourite deck ever.
I had a BLAST both runs. Went 5-3 with dragon warrior and my little bro went 6-3 with the same deck. We both pretty much broke even.. Then my second run I played hunter and went 10-3. So close to the 11th and 12th wins!!! I got a golden confessor paletress as my reward and opened another legendary in the 16 packs.
if you think you can steal the 12 win using cheaper deck, you are really naive.
experience and pro player they all play control. ie nzoth, anyfin paladin, control priest, control warrior , reno warlock. 55-45 vs shaman . 50-50 vs mirror and 70-30 vs aggro or budget deck.
only some streamer wan to proof that cheap deck can also 10 win++ . ie forsen lock in discard lock. always end up 0-3 . because 70% of meta are mid range shaman. they are king vs aggro deck & budget deck
11-3 with Murloc paladin. I went 4-1 vs Shaman, 2-2 vs hunter, and obviously undefeated against the rest, who were mage, warrior, and 2 priests. It was a very fun brawl, very nerve wracking and rewarding of high skill play. This is a deck I've been playing for months now, so I know every matchup inside and out. I would not recommend this brawl for new players and I would not recommend taking a deck you are trying for fun unless you just want to waste 1000 gold.
"You live or you die..."
I am the lucky one - 12:2. Only 3 shamans were met.
All cards are balanced, but some cards are more balanced than others.
8-2 so far with midrange shaman, surprisingly enough this brawl feels easier than rank 2/3 in the ladder at the moment.
I went 8-3 with my Miracle Rogue deck on my second account - WHICH HAS ALMOST NO ADVENTURE CARDS
I really didn't expect this.

I would have had a blast even if I lost more. The only sucky thing is how many shamans there are, but I was expecting that haha.

what about the rewards ?
Schrödinger's cat walks into a bar... and doesn't.

So juicy
I got 12-1 my last run!!! Boy was the adrenaline pumping. I got golden king krush, prophet velen (who I didn't have at all) and cairne!
Got shifter zerus from a pack which i didn't have either, and got 4K dust and some cool golden cards.
My GOD the difference between 10 and 12 wins is INSANE.
