Nice compilation of decks! I'd also suggest mentioning which of these are also effective versus Mechwarper decks since I've personally been seeing a lot of them this brawl (no surprise).
This is worthless against basically all decks except mill druid. Tried it and had to cencede early because there was just no way it would work.
Why do people play a boring Mill druid when it's not a quest to win with druid?(16th sept - warlock/shaman quest) I don't get some people in this game.
Because it wins? I'm not to sure either but there are anti mill decks and the one deck I use with almost 100% win rate is deathwing dragonlord, Barnes, and innervate. It punishes mill decks so bad. All you need is one deathwing from Barnes and you win generally. It also works really well vs a lot of other decks as long as you get a good opening.
Oh there is another OP combo deck that kills mill druid whatever they do:
- Southsea deckhand - Cold blood - Conceal
Turn 4 you're done, if you don't have the right elements right away the milling will sure give enough of the former 2 cards to make 10 damage turn 3 then 10 + 10 or 10 + 14 turn 4.
And works for many kinds of decks. only loses to actual AOE spells or minions like twilight flamecaller incorporating them, but who has those in tavern brawl? concealed pirates don't even lose to the explosive sheep I employ here and there.
For this reason, playing it one time can be enough to give you that icky feeling if you have a conscience, like 'this isn't really interactive anymore, the question whether they can do anything to counter it is so one-dimensional it's not funny anymore'... the feeling habitual mill druids and combo mages should get, but they don't because they mistake their winning for an actual achievement.
Similarly, pwning mill druids soon gets just as empty as being one.
I was just skipping through some decks... but returned to this thread after a 4x mill druid streak.
I wait until I see what a druid does every time though... sometimes its different druids which is a wonderful surprise (even if I lose)... like, what was it? innervate + starfire + naturalize, which doesn't seem right to me. Oh but another time it was innervate + alarm-o-bot + y'shaarj. which works...
Yeah, Southsea Deckhand/Cold Blood/Conceal usually wins (gets wrecked by Mages running Arcane Missiles though). Even better is replacing Southsea Deckhand with Young Dragonhawk, but I don't have that.
On my Asia arena account where I don't have many cards I got good results with Mind Blast/Holy Smite/Holy Fire. Unless you have a hand full of Holy Fires. Don't hit face turn 1 with Holy Smite use it on the Oracles at first.
My mini dragon warrior worked out kinda well, fairy dragon, win axe, and Alex champion, just put out as many fairy dragons as needed, so basically fairy dragon counters it

Because they like it? Because they have fun?
I have fun, I love mill deck, I play mill deck in Tavern Brawls, in ranked, everywhere... For me it's always a lot of fun.
Each to his own but there are so many mill druids in this brawl that it's become quite infected. That's why we need these counter-decks. Personally I think Murloc Oracle is a stupid card, because it can be abused for Mill decks and make the opponent feel powerless. That's why it's so enjoyable watching the druids concede when they realize their strategy won't work.
it's not if you do as I do. Pick the ultimate anti mill durid deck and just concede everytime you're not playing against druid (which is less than 50% of the time), then proceed to stompd those druids in about 3 turn. easy life and a lot of satisfaction

Thanks to their milling you win by turn 3-5.

I replaced Malchezaar's Imp with Silverware Golem since they provide all the draw that you need. So you have;
Soulfire + Fist of Jaraxxus + Silverware Golem
I have never lost against mill druid with Mech Hunter.
Mechwarper
Metaltooth Leaper
Annoy-o-Tron
Just fill the board once you have the combo and the druid will give you the rest
Prep + sinister strike + evisc can't lose against mill druid, you can play 10 cards on almost any round.
My mini dragon warrior worked out kinda well, fairy dragon, win axe, and Alex champion, just put out as many fairy dragons as needed, so basically fairy dragon counters it
tl;dr
If you want to mill the mill druid play gang up - backstab - tinyfin.
