Any luck with consistent counters to the more popular decks in the current brawl meta?
Consistently win against Mill Druid combo with Fiery War Axe, Upgrade, Heroic Strike Warrior. Iffy against others though.
Also had fun with Pit Snake, Betrayal, Swashburgler against Metal Tooth Mech decks. Wouldn't say it's a good counter but it was satisfying ripping through the ranks with betrayal. Swashburgler isn't the best fit but it was ok sometimes.
Any suggestions for other counters, like with discard warlock or mage decks?

Agreed. It's not like it's ranked. The idea of brawl is for a bit of creative fun. If you need to net deck in brawl then sorry, but you're just an average player and so obviously desperate for a win or a pathetic 10 gold.
Mech Hunter - it does not really have any hard counters if it gets the right cards. They will destroy you once they have 3 mana
Mill Druid - you insta lose if you have no cheap cards
Discard Warlock - Can be brutal. They just need 4 soulfires to kill you, theoretically. Malcheezar's imps will make sure he has enough soulfires to finish you off.
Every deck has hard counters. Even the seemingly most powerful ones.
Mech hunter counters - Secret hunter: Mini mage, explosive trap, snipe. Going first you need two snipes. Snipe on turn 2 and 3 then they're down 2 mech warpers and you win off building up a board of mini-mages and protecting your face with explosive traps. Going second you can do the same with two snipes or snipe, explosve and minimage also works. Turn 2 snipe then coin out minimage turn 3. They set up thir board next turn and then you explosive the turn they can attack. Secret hunter also beats all other forms of aggro that floods the board with minions that have 3 or less health.
Protect the king warrior: Protect the king single handedly counters mech hunter cos you can play it turn 3 and they'll never hit your face unless your luck is bad and you never draw them continuously (just hard mulligan for 3). You can pick whatever you want for the other two it doesn't even matter.
Mill counters - Malchezaar + any class: Chuck malchezaar in and some aoe and heal or any stall mechanic. Hard mulligan for everything but malchezaar (obviously). They mill themselves faster than they can mill you cos 10 naturalises only makes you draw 20 but you have 30 extra cards. Every coldlight makes them draw 2 too so it cancels out your draw in terms of the fatigue war. Just make sure you use your aoe intelligently so you don't take too much damage from the 2-2's. Also never play a minion, this forces them to naturalise their own coldlights which guarantees you draw slower. The best they can hope for is you finish on 10 cards when they are on 0. That's 10 extra turns of fatigue so you win.
Ramp druid with nullifier or spectral knight: Get your can't be targeted minions out fast with innervates and what not. Your board's better, their naturalise is useless.
Discard Warlock counters - Mage - ice block and burn.
Hunter - Snipe and cheap minions. Chuck snipe on every turn for their imp and flood the board so fist has a higher chance of missing. Then it's just their soulfire damage every turn which you can beat with minions, your hero power and them killing themselves with their hero power.
Strategically, these are 100% counters but due to top decking mechanic you sometimes draw badly when they draw well (and vice versa) so brings win rate to probably 90% or so. Only general ideas there's probably plenty more counters.
So, I'm having the Weirdest thing happen to me. I've been playing the brawl pretty heavily (50+ games, with about 22 wins, playing all the stupid decks). and after a while I got tired of running in to mill druid, every 2 or 3 games 'oh you seem to be having fun, MILL DRUID!" the system would go. So I Decided to grab 3 cards to screw over the cancer of the meta. Whirlwind + Armour Smith + Prince. The idea being pretty clear. and I suddenly stopped encountering any kind of druid, even mill druid. Maybe it was that I hadn't used warrior before or something, so I went back to my starting decks, swapping random cards for Malchezar at random. Every deck I build, any of them, With Prince Malchezar in NEVER run across mill druid. its as if blizz has put in a system that STOPS cancer running in to its only counter (or one of the only counters). anyone else getting this?

Not specifically, but it does often seem that when I change decks in ranked the decks I face, at least initially change. But even if this is the case I think it takes you out of the "special" matchup queue after a few games. If there is anything it's a complex system so that when you're tilted and switch decks, it tries to help you win a couple, but doesn't work with constant switching.

well, I stuck to a single deck (the one stated above) and played about 15 games with it, Still 0 mill druids. beast druids here and there, and every other class under the sun (even a priest running purify?!). but no mill druids. goddammit I just want to cause some salt!
Malchezaar's Imp + Soulfire + Darkshire Librarian worked like a charm. Get 2-3 Imps on the board and shoot Soulfires until running out of cards on turn 5.
The salt is so real in this forum. Anyway, came here to post my own Rogue deck, since no one seems to have thought of it:
1x Preparation 1x Eviscerate 1x Sprint
I'm surprised no one's using the potential of 10 Preparations in any of the decks I've seen so far. 10 Eviscerates also allows you to either spend 3 for control as long as you knife the opponent a few times, or in the case of warrior/druid/priest, deal the extra damage you'll need (haven't faced warrior yet, I can't imagine that matchup goes well for this deck though.) I always keep prep + sprint in my opening hand, then control till turn 4. Haven't faced many of the "meta" decks so far, but I haven't had many issues taking opponents out so far.
EDIT: Coldlight Oracle might be better than Sprint actually, costs 1 less, draws 2 less cards but doesn't take a prep like sprint does most of the time, and it sometimes gives you some murloc synergies against murloc decks.

Love this Brawl! Have been beaten by some very creative decks.
However: I don't love all the Mill Druids! Seriously, guys?!? I mean... Seriously?1?
My current counter:
Backstab
Faerie Dragon
Shiv
Every Coldlight Oracle gets Backstabbed, and you always have enough because they're always playing Coldlight Oracles.
Faerie Dragons can't be Naturalized, so the only way that they can play Naturalize is on their own Oracle on the same turn it's played. Therefore you are hardly being milled faster than they're milling themselves. Meanwhile, they have to deal with a board of 3/2's with no minions of their own.
Although it is counterintuitive to play Shiv against a Mill deck, Shiv is necessary for winning against other matchups.
General remark JK.. not in response to you. Actually said that because I mistapped on my mobile on the auto finish button and it gave me zombie chow, Dr Boom and some 2 or 3-drop i forgot.. tee hee
Had a fail or two thinking of decks myself with a very basic resurrect priest for example, ran into opponents that basically relied on face hitting spells like ice lance - but also rogue with cold-blooded southsea deck hand charge pirates or whatsit called. Actually props for the rogue but I think facing with spells is lame. Doesn't matter to me what the success rate is, I respect more creative combos. Is that kind of deck what salt is over in this thread (tl;dr)?
About your deck by the way - my question is whether it's not too slow if basically only fan of blades actually helps to cycle - do you actually get enough draw to discount the giants at a realistic rate? and then you'd still actually have to draw the giants. Do you wait a little with the fan of blades so that they actually kill minions or do you go at it right away? (I guess saving the fans that you also have a prep for is smart - but the other ones you need the mana for cycling..)
Love the prince malchezaar and barnes ideas!!
@the cho'gall + sap idea: wtf what hero are you using?? Ohh malchezaar with your rogue must be.
I just tested ice block + mechwarpers + piloted shredder and he insta-conceded... but do kinda feel like a dick with ice block and the mechwarper + metal tooth saber hunter with top 2 brawl was considered cancer a little bit hehe. I remember winning from a mage who used a lot of ice blocks that brawl and recalling that it was an epic achievement all things considered, even if I do say so myself.
Think I'm gonna test evolve barnes dr boom in a minute.

Mage - ice block and burn.
I'm currently having straight wins with the basic mage cards.
Arcane Missiles, Mana Wyrm and Frostbolt.
Priorities Wyrm's first and if face againts the druid draw enemy just keep spamming with spells ;)
Cho is hilarious in this brawl when it comes together.
Rogue: Cho, Sap, maybe deadly poison.
Really enjoyed this brawl, been using innervate + Barnes + prince malchezaar so far and haven't run into a single hunter yet, thankfully
Tempo Shaman: Spirit Claws, Bloodmage Thalnos, Maelstrom Portal
Great counter to Mech Hunter if you go second (Bloodmage on 2, Bloodmage + Coin + Maelstrom on 3)
Beat a Taunt Warrior and haven't lost to Discolock (always eke it out with 2-6 health)

Prep Shiv Eviscerate is a gas against Mill Druids. Bad against most other combos, sadly.
Malchezaar's Imp + Soulfire + Darkshire Librarian worked like a charm. Get 2-3 Imps on the board and shoot Soulfires until running out of cards on turn 5.
Having loads of fun with Barnes, Innervate and Deathwing, Dragonlord
T1 : innervate+token>Barnes>DW 1/1
T2 : opponent places one card>DW dies, death rattle summons all other Deathwings.

Ideally don't use 'auto deck finisher' to come up with a deck for you..
