So I go brawl and there is this card, Red Riding Hood and it just seems like a great card. The cost is high, but it could prevent a rushdown, the same way Loatheb prevented a burndown. I see distinct synergy against Call of the Wild and Anyfin Can Happen. Was this card considered for the adventure and then dropped? It seems like it would have been a solid addition.

As long as it costs 3 mana so it wont be played by Zoo I'd love having this in game! Would've been a GREAT neutral option to slow down zoo decks and delay combo decks...should be pretty decent against aggro in general as well...why isn't this a card?? Blizzaaard FailFish

What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
This card is essentially Frost Nova with a taunt. But as it is a neutral card and can be used by many combo decks, I like to see this costing more at 6.
I don't like this card included in the meta, however. Frost Nova should be Mage-specific interaction and it is disgusting pulled off N'zoth.
Prob;em is this could be abused more by aggro decks than control decks
Please explain.. Turn without minions attacking seems to favour control, doesn't it?
Yes but a zoolock for example can drop it on turn 5 while having let's say 4 minions on board and go face even if you have board presence since your will be locked when you kill their taunt with weapon/minions.
Every aggro deck would run owl again. that's for sure. And like others have stated, it could even be used by aggro (though probably not pure aggro, stats are a bit too slow and cost a bit too high for that).
It is a very interesting concept. RedRiding Hood is OP OP. Put that effect on a card that doesn't have taunt, cost more mana, and has poorer stats and I could see it being playable.
Red Riding Hood is not like Loatheb in any way except that she costs 5 mana. Loatheb provides a solid on-curve body, plus an effect which your opponent cannot interact with. The spell-cost effect is a battlecry and not a deathrattle, so you choose when your opponent has the debuff. Choose wisely, and you'll be able to shut them out of a win entirely, possibly protecting a board from any kind of removal. At worst, you're still a 5-mana 5/5.
Red Riding Hood is just a taunt minion which after one enemy attack, loses any attack value but gains insane health. RRH can be silenced or sapped like any other taunt minion (but it does resist some removal). She's more like Bolf Ramshield, except she doesn't work on spells, and she gets 3 damage in (for one mana cheaper too, so she's better). All in all, however, she's just a beefy taunt who only lives one turn, and a one-of in a deck at that. RRH would probably be worth the mana and deck slot, certainly in N'Zoth decks, but she doesn't fundamentally change the game in the way a Loatheb can.

*Facepalm* wow dude...you're talking so far up your ass....it seems you just wanted to say something and this is what your brain farted out.
First of all she's not 5 mana...she's 3...at 5 mana she would suck balls....she's very different from Loatheb you're right there, but she's not like Bolf Ramshield either!^^ She doesn't just stop damage, she stops the minions from attacking...that also means trading into your minions and it means the amount is not limited like it is with Bolf...even though your opponent could potentially deal 50 damage with their minions it wont matter unless they have a silence effect for Red Riding Hood.
She's definitely not a beefy taunt...she's a 3/2 dude...she does about as much against a minion focused deck as Loatheb does to a spell focused one, but none of these cards change the game in a fundamental way....fundamental....look it up dude.
Anyways....wow sorry for being a dick here pointing out your flaws...I just couldn't help myself....

Red Riding Hood would probably not see much play in Zoo as she's too understated and too often just a worse Ironfur Grizzly against decks other than Zoo....against control decks it will likely just be removed by a spell and/or work as a mini Frost Elemental with taunt....against face decks it will be worse than Squirming Tentacle most of the time....they can still use spells so it's not like a total lockout against decks who are not Zoo....they just use spells to remove your other minions or to burst face and a minion to remove Red Riding Hood....

Zoo is a tempo deck. The goal of the deck is to abuse low cost cards and a hero power to do more than one thing a turn. In doing so, you build tempo on the board and maintain it by taking efficient trades.
Anyway, the actual question. Red Ridinghood is a really interesting card. I dont know if in its current state, it is strong enough, but I love the concept of the card.

I'd love a card like this to be utimately added to the game. Whether it's specifically this card, eh. But the mechanic is very interesting.

yes she should be playable, tbh we should have gotten her instead of Pompous Thespian,

My greatest achievement yet:
Not disenchanting my double Shadowbomber

It is stupidly strong effect.

Zoo is a aggro deck, it's the entire idea behind zoo...
oops Kel'Thuzad
if not for that happening, 100%, but due to that alone she shouldn't be in the game.
The best way to solve problems is to create more problems until you are dead
As I never managed to engineer the situation during the brawl, what happens if you kill Red Riding Hood and then play a charger?

Neutral ice block? No, thanks. It will be in every freezemage and in every combo deck.
