I got 1435 damage with a similar strategy (mass dispel + Scaled Nightmares + Faceless). I realised afterwards that if I'd just passed a few turns and let the Scaled Nightmares grow I could have got a crazy high score before hitting the cap of 1000.
I went for a different approach and wanted to mill the opponent without dying to fatigue myself (as Stormwind starts with a larger than normal deck). Druid was the natural choice. To solve the fatigue problem, I put in Malorne and one Faceless Manipulator. The match ended in a draw on turn 44.
The deck is by no means refined. For example, you don't really need Elise or the Darnassus Aspirants. Had a lot of fun setting up the infinite loop.
Edit: Oh, and obviously you go for 2x Sideshow Spelleater and 2x Garrison Commander. I also included a Tournament Medic as a safety net and 2x Acidic Swamp Ooze to reset the weapon.
I was afraid to double it again since I know at some point the minion dies when its health gets too high. CHO SHOW! Next double would have turned the high bit in the 32-bit word on and I wasn't sure if rollover was at the max signed or unsigned. So I settled for:

I really don't know what the damage cap is and how it is coded internally, it seems really strange to me. Here is my highest: It is close to the highest positive value a 32 bit signed integer can store, i. e. 2^31 - 1 = 2.147.483.647. On the second screenshot i did exactly 2^31 - 1 and it was already too high and is shown as 0.
Ah, he starts with 1 health. So when you did (2^31 - 1), it added (2^31 - 1) + 1 and got 2^31, which is a "signed" 0, or -0. Obviously (0 == -0). In any case, you win, you broke the game.. well done!
Just for all you coders out there...always check for overflow ,-Wall and lint. :-) Of course the hard part is figuring out what to do when you detect an issue. Good code will keep the value at MAX_INT rather than overflow.

managed to get around 700 damage on him playin a priest deck, it's pretty easy, i just let him fill up board and mass dispel. was a neat concept for a brawl but don't think i'll play it anymore since there doesn't seem be gold awarded, lol.
I used Brann Bronzebeard and two Shadowcasters with Elise Starseeker and Acidic Swamp Ooze. If the tavern brawl didn't stop at turn 44, I'm sure I can do infinite turns.

I dealt 51 damage in 11 turns with ladder zoolock lol

i stoped because if i gave him more hp it would have died

Well it seems we have a new highscore!
The Nexus comes to the Inn with my set of Heroes of the Storm Legendaries!
669 as rogue.
1
i play priest
126 damage in 8 turns as shaman lel. Windfury for the winfury
207 with Murloc Shaman. I'm not using hard core combos, just Murloc swarm.
Gang Up C'Thun Rogue. Lot of fun. Shame it self destructs at 1000 because I had more c'thuns to play and a lot more damage I could do.
Livin the Dream. Could've gone to infinity if he didn't self destruct at 1,000. (Confessor Paletress, Before you ask)
1099 Hunter , Gahzrilla for the last hit.

Damage 854
Turns 44
Minions 47
I was going solid, I don't know why Stormwind self-destructed at turn 44. We were both long out of cards, but we weren't near lethal. Hard-coded?
