First game I got Astral Communion while having 8 cards in hand and 10 mana already. Glad it only took 2 games to win this one. I sur will be glad to NOT having to play this brawl again. Not only do we not get to build our deck we have a RNG fest so skill doesn't matter.
This easily makes it into the top 10 worst brawls.
Not being skill intensive is half the reason brawl's exist, its just a bunch of luck...
If I wanted to play a game with no skill I would roll dice.
Would you go to a website and write about how dumb dice rolling is?
If dice rolling pretended to be a strategy game I think I would.
What if dice rolling was voluntary? What if there were different ways to play dice and you had the freedom to play any kind of dice you want? What if winning at dice rolling provided something small as a reward for winning that you couldn't get otherwise? What if you wait a week and a dice game you like better might be offered? What if this one type of dice rolling was never really claiming to be a strategy game but you assumed it should be? What if losing a dice game over luck didn't make you mad and then righteous?
Would you still post about dice rolling?
I'm currently not playing HS for anything else than the quests, only to get enough gold for the next adventure.
If that adventure doesn't make the game better, bailing out.
As to different ways to play dice, yes, there are. You can play dice that always rolls between 1-3 ( With equity ), or one that always rolls 1-6 ( Same ) ; Now sure, you can claim everybody is free to play the first one, but truth is no one will, because while said die could be shinier or whatever, it's just a worse die, period ( And, getting out of the dice analogy here, we're in an aggro meta. Even non gimmicky deck have a freaking hard time surviving, so don't give us "Any deck can be played". I was actually pretty okay with the Grim Patron era, despite said deck ruling the meta a lot more harshly, simply because you actually got a chance to play against it ). As to something I can get otherwise, well we're getting into sunken cost fallacy here, 'cause the only thing I can win via Hearthstone, is more stuff in Hearthstone, i.e it is not something that incentivizes playing it if you didn't intend to play in the first place. Waiting for a better dice game, well that's what I'm doing, though I wouldn't put that much hope in it.
As to claiming it was a strategy game, huh, you might want to check the official Hearthstone web page. You will see the word "Strategy" pop up within the first sentence. Or the multiple prize pools offered for Hearthstone tournaments ( And before you try to pull that trick on me, yes, loads of games like Poker have a good amount of randomness in them, but they're not ONLY randomness ( Plus they play a lot more hands than HS players play games, comparatively ), like Hearthstone truly is turning to be by having games be over in 10 card draws and decks' strength be centered around a single card ).
As to losing a dice game, it doesn't make me mad. It makes me mad when the game then pretends I lost because I'm less skilled when all I did was roll a die.

Yeah no, go fuck yourself. Brawls are supposed to have "crazy" rules, that's all, nowhere is it stated that they have to be 0 skill 100% RNG based. Good brawls are like that one where you create your own deck dynamically during the game, not this shitfest that one turn gives you free flamestrike and the other Astral Communion.
I always think these RNG brawls where you can just pick any class will be good for grinding shitter quests, but they never are. So coinflippy the games can go on for ages...
I do not understand how EVERY single negative spell hits me or my minions and every single positive one hits theirs. I thought this was random but it's happened so many times it's scientifically impossible for this to be random and not biased against me.
Finally got a win by just roping each turn until someone quit in frustration. Thanks blizzard for another fun and fait game.

See I WOULD be sympathetic for you, but then I realized you're an *** so whatever, you deserved to lose every game.

So far the RNG gods hate me. I've played 3 games, friend was spectating two of them for the quest. Even he commented on how I was having the worst luck.
We're talking Silent Watcher in two of my decks, every nuke has hit me. Destroying my own minions, nukes that make me discard and on and on
As as an MTG player who runs a deck that is LITERALLY based on flipping coins, I enjoy this brawl.
I've built similar decks, and those decks in Magic are fun. This brawl is the exact opposite, since it's not being played in a casual setting for no prize potential. I'm pretty sure you didn't walk into States or even your FNM group with that deck, you'd play it in casual multiplayer games for fun.
Furthermore, you built the deck, so you knew exactly what you had in it. Statistical probabilities still leaned towards your favor. This brawl is the exact opposite. Only about three classes are actually worth playing, for starters. The spells range from the absolutely broken (Animal Companion) to the horrendously awful (Astral Communion). Your coin deck didn't have just whatever the hell in it. It had specific cards with a linear design. The creatures in your deck are just as awful, you can range from Tirion all the way to Frozen Snowbold.
As another former Magic player (technically current, if you want to count Magic Duels), I can't see how anyone could possibly like this brawl unless they just hate themselves for some undetermined reason.
Can they even create content without the word RANDOM in it?
Hilarious brawl, but I think playing it a few times is enough.
edit: I regret it, is one of the best brawls ever.
Epic Brawl is Epic i havent had so much since ages
You dont care if you lose you just play for the fun
So many amazing things happened that we need a mega mega thread to post them all :D
I think this has to be the best brawl ever created.
Random winner. Worst brawl since beginning.

Worse than Banana Brawl! I've been playing for 5 hours, and 0 wins. Pls Blizzard, I want my free pack! :(
The question isn't 'Who's going to let me?'
It's 'Who's going to stop me?'
Shit brawl, 100% random. You must be retarded to like something like this. If so I assume you like flipping a coin for fun.
