It was so good, even if it required a bit of a collection(which the regular game does too by the way!), It allowed so many different decks even though of course it has a meta, but lots are viable strats. Anywhere from Combo hunter to Druid Zoo to Priest OTK to Reno Mage to Fatigue Warrior to pretty much everything that isn't shaman, we have lots of variety in what is a pretty solid brawl.
This got me thinking about something else . . .
I wanted to be able to keep playing this, wishing it was a regular game mode I could play at any time.
So I was thinking that I like the idea of having a standard Tavern Brawl that we could play at any time, even when the brawls weren't "active". And by "active" mean able to be getting packs from them.
So let's say that after a brawl ends, You can still play tavern brawl, But you won't get a pack from it, and You will be able to play this brawl, or Mechazod, or Decks Assemble, Or any of the other Good Brawls.
OOH! Maybe even you could get put into a match with another player into a RANDOM TAVERN BRAWL THAT DOESN'T REQUIRE A DECK! Eh? There's a thought.
Anyways, what do you think?
Is this the best Brawl ever? And should we have a standard tavern brawl that is always active, even when we can't get packs from it?
I like the idea of being always able to brawl a lot.
However, I think the Battle Builds TB was much better than this one, it had lots of different possible strategies and the collection was not as big of a facter as it is in the Miniature Warfare TB.
It's close but I like the Mechazod co-open more. Still really fun. Love their ideas every week. Alot of fun stuff in tavern brawl. Can't wait to see what is next.
My favorite brawl ever was the one where your cards are random with reduced costs each turn. Easy wins, specially that one time my starting hand had 2 Tirions and a Deathwing.
Battle of the builds was better, this one was cool but just a bunch of OP combos. It turned into a race to the bottom - could you draw Maly before they got Alex, etc. Still I prefer the 'altered mechanics' to the RNG heavy brawls like the treasure chest or the random cost one.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
This brawl was great but not "THE BEST", I think Decks Assemble and Winterveil were a tad better, the first because rarely people could understand what to do, so it was a kind of intelligence test together with the brawl, the second because its mechanics was pretty funny. Probably this isn't the best because I don't have either Alex, Boom or Rag, alongside a couple of crucial epics and rares (Azure Drake, I'm looking at you), so not even a Malygos deck was viable here for me. Had to resort to Frostwolves and Kvaldirs to scrape some wins.
Personally i enjoyed it a lot but i heard from a couple people that they really didn't as well, to each their own i guess.
Played a Dreadsteed deck myself with a bunch of boardclears and heals basically making people concede because they can never do enough damage or build a board. Unless it was an OTK priest of course ;)
I know what you guys mean, And remembering some of these other brawls, I agree that they were just as good if not better. But Hey, I don't have Alexstrazsa, Onyxxia, Malygos, Faceless Manipulator, Or most other Legendaries. But I was still able to have around 50% win rate with OTK rogue, Albeit I only won 1 out of the three games I played against OTK Priest. But I still think that There should be some way to enjoy the game on an unusual level, which is what tavern brawl is, at all times. Maybe I'll make another thread about if there was A tavern Brawl Implemented as a Regular game mode, which would it be.
What if they instead of having an always active brawl had a rotating brawl that would be here for a month. You could still have the weekly brawl and then on a monthly basis you have a second one that kicks between some of the more favored brawls. Ideally you put the longer duration on on themes that have had a high positive feedback and you have a full month to monkey around.
You could even have a ranked run for the monthly one if you want which would be cool. That way there will be a new design process for the ones that stick for a month and you can really mash out kind of a tier list of how the decks compare in that time. In one week its hard to really get a lot of hard facts and meta gaming figured out.
Was a great brawl! Everyone had random decks and lots of stuff worked utilising lesser used cards. Just got the tarven brawl quest the other day, sad its finished.
Naah, brawls where people make their deck will never be the best ones, this brawl? a huge influx of turn 4 draw my whole deck 80 damage mind blast priest, this was one of the worst ones.

I like to make cards and discuss game balance.
I enjoy when "No similar decks were found."

There is a lot of steak here...
My third favorite brawl personally. Mechazod and the Discover brawl are my top two, in no particular order.

Mechazod brawls all the way I played both 50+ times each.
