Just played 27 Sep 2024 against a Hunter and his Secrets casted twice. Rushed his minion and it got 3+3 twice. Attacked his hero and it did 2 damage twice? How can this be?
You're confirming that the hero card that allows two versions of the same secret to be cast and trigger simultaneously had been played before the secrets triggered twice, right?
The format I played was standard. I attacked a 2/3 creature with the a 6/5 rush excavate and his secret triggered twice and survived. Now he had a 8/3 creature. And the previous turn he had the explosion secret and it triggered twice for 4 damage to wipe my board. I was playing Shaman.

Beaststalker tavish casts two improved secrets when played, but improved explosive would deal 4 damage at once not 2 twice
Beaststalker Tavish doesn’t affect The Bait and Switch secret that gives 3+3. It wasn’t that. The secrets casted twice.

Yeah sorry, checked his secrets and explosive only does 3 from him, any other details you can remember? Wich format?

I tried looking for hunter cards that were bugged…like repeat spells etc. Nothing I did made the secret cast twice.
Commander Rhyssa paladin legendary is the only intended mechanic I know for making secrets proc twice. Don't think it's in standard.
Commander rhyssa as xystance mentioned could have come from a wave of nostalgia if you played it
