I've tried a few decks: Razzle Death Knight, Evolve and Razzle Shaman. They are supposed to have high win rates but they just don't work for me in this meta. I get slammed by almost anything, and I've hit legend before. Vs Mage you can just insta concede and everyone else is having better rng. You have to go 100% face, or what? I hate going face and not having control of the board, because I'm a control freak.
I'd love to play spell mage but I don't have the dust for it, so anything else that works.
Edit: I actually won vs mage just after I posted this, but it felt like a very risky and rare event.
Honestly, Razzle DK ought to be at least decent against Mage and some other decks. The key is Threads of Despair which can wipe most boards and it’s not expensive. The deck can also get off to a fast start which means pressure on them. Not saying it’s the end all by any means. This meta right now is like insane. Most games are decided within a few turns and I find myself conceding a lot more than usual. Now if you don’t have the perfect answer for what’s coming next, you are done. There is no middle ground.
The fast pirate decks like Demon Hunter is also a good choice. Kill them by turn 5 and then there is no Tsunami! ;)

Couldn't agree more. It's the "Most games are decided within a few turns" trend that really gets to me. In the previous meta you had a fighting chance most of the game, especially if you played warrior like I did a lot. Now you don't see control decks anymore. It's all about tempo.
You can't have Threads of Despair in Razzle DK without sacrificing some of the core cards unfortunately. It's a blood rune card and the deck has 2 frost and 1 unholy.
I went d5 to legend not even one loss with highlander Druid. Granted it was a good run but also mana ramp destroys mages. By the time your opponent plays the water elementals at turn 5 you should be 8-10 mana. You have many high cost options at this point…..clear the board like 3 times and they’ll leave.

Nope. I tried Highlander Druid and I had 5 mana when the mage had 5 mana(started second and increased my mana with 1). On turn 6 he casts Tsunami and game over. The only scenario where you can succeed as a highlander druid vs mage is if he doesn't draw Tsunami.
I get what you’re saying as tsunami puts a lot of stats on board very early and it’s almost impossible to deal with but As I said previously, for me highlander Druid works. It’s doesn’t mean you win every game but it’s a good chance. When I’m 9-10 mana and they have 5 it’s a big advantage especially when they can’t follow up after tsunami. You will need multiple clears turn after turn but after they can’t cast it again they leave.
Mulligan for ramp, if you can draw Reno, zilliax, yogg or fye by the time you get to 8+ mana you can stall long enough to deal with his stuff.
Might be a skill issue? Know the deck you play and how to pilot for your outs. Sometimes it doesn’t work out and you draw bad etc. just move on to the next game.
For the demon Hunter, focus on playing the banana pirate after you setup the location or the spell that summon three pirates, go for this play early game if you have the coin.
For the death knight the addition of Zephrys REALLY changed things against mage, I always go for something that can deal damage to he enemy hero and it won many games for me. Another tip is to mulligan for the tourist and try to play it on curve so you'll have the spells to answer your oponent. Also... play the location as soon as you can, it gives a bug advantage as it can deal damage to the enemy and also helps clearing the board.

Idk what statistics say that but Highlander itself means that you only have 1 of each ramp in deck, to get them at mull is super rare. yes, you last longer than other classes but you need to draw Reno/Yogg early too. So 2 combinations that need to happen and many other can burst you down still, so for climbing I would not suggest that..
Nice counter are the plagues. But prob is not the tsunami, its that imba spell that summons a 10mana minion and does 10 dmg, because that minion will also summon a face dmg minion :( totally wrong programming... like click 1 button do 3 things, its like zephrys
Insanity warlock… most of your games depend how good you play it. Reached legend with it with ease. Punish mages, ramp druids, aggro as well. Just tricky to play and learn. Good luck.
Edit : if you are able to play insanity at 3 into conductor at 4, its usually so huge tempo swing and means game is in your hands…if you are able to play baritone imp before, usually means gg. You dont have to worry about your life vs mage, anything more than board+possible 3dmg weapon + hero power means you are out of lethal

The game is more and more about pressing as hard as you can. I don't see any fun in that and rather have a control type meta. But meta's rotate every so few months, so I just stop playing until it changes. No fun in aggro, face sh!t decks at all.
I dont have a suggestion for a deck, but some advice, I dont know if your switching decks a lot, but if you do it may not be a good idea. Knowing a deck, what to play and when, what not to play, and what to keep at the start is important. Swapping decks every few days never lets you know and master a deck. Doing so may see you lose more than you should.

Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
I think it’s telling that there’s something off with mage when most deck suggestions are made based on countering that very deck. It’s meta-warping and I’m surprised it hasn’t been nerfed yet.

If you want to have deck that works you just need to play Druid. Turn 6 you have multiple 10 mana minions on board.
"Turn 6 you have multiple 10 mana minions on board."
Which deck is that? I've never seen it. Would highlander druid work?

Actually Druid (Dragon Druid especially but Ramp Druid as well) is favored against Big Spell Mage.
Also I see Odin Warrior has made a come back so you can try it.

Try my deck: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1446301-greedy-big-druid. I've seen it to beat spell mage and also the other Dungar netdeck that is going around.
I played this pirate demon Hunter till Diamond 5
