First off, I play casually and don't tend to approach the ladder seriously, so that being said I'm currently sitting at Gold 3 and my experience might not match everyone's. I've been playing since Beta so I feel like I have a good feel for how people play.
Over the last month or so, I've seen the hord of players with those 4-5 character lowercase names playing the same Death Knight deck over and over. They're practically free wins since they don't adapt strategy and play at the same medium pace every turn. What strange though, is that on top of that, I'm also encountering some other players with more normal names but the play style is insanely fast. The moment their turn starts, the card they just drew is already being played and they don't miss a single beat card after card before their turn ends. I understand some players know their decks well so can play fast, but this is over the top.
Combined, these 2 types of players easily make up what feels like 70% or more of all of my matches. Is anyone else experiencing this or am I missing a piece of the puzzle?
I find it... actually terribly embarrassing for anyone who managed to lose to these decks that we're running into them in the climb through Silver & Gold, etc... Not a single one of these should exist above Bronze 10.
I've just played 4 consecutive DK decks with the user names sdvsd, ndfndf, xcvxcv, and jhghg. Every single one of them, their turns executed in exactly the same 4 second pause pattern. Every card they played had a momentary hitch in where it was targeting. They were casting destruction spells on their own minions for no purpose. They were triggering their hero power and then letting it die without attacking.
You would think, the way Blizzard is ultra-Nazi about bots, botting, hacking, etc... that they would have some sort of way to sniff out this sort of blatantly obvious idiocy.
Yup. Im in gold too. And this is all I see. Annoying part is I was just trying to play a stupid 4 horseman combo and they all run Patchwerk and kept blowing up my combo lol
How can you even tell? Bots and humans are no different in this terrible meta. No skill, no decisions, just draw/discover endlessly until you get yer stuff. Whoever does that wins. Its not earned though. I hope when people get their ass-pull save card or lethal card that they dont think its their eh hem "skill" that got them there. LOL.
Apprentice (new player ranks) and low internal-rating players (colloquially called “MMR”) may now face up against AI opponents when playing on the ranked Standard ladder. This will help said players have a more fun experience while learning the game. Experienced players will not face these AI opponents, and they will have no impact on MMR, leaderboards, or legend ranks. Most players advance beyond the affected MMR range upon leaving Silver or Gold ranks.

Yeah same as in World of Tanks. The grind just gets so much faster (for newer players to not have such a disadvantadge), less players, players figuring stuff faster out (due netdecks ) etc. Thats why there are less and less real people in the lower ranks. So Blizzard has to fill it up with bots (or where they are needed).

Me too.

Guys you must be playing around Bronze 10, I did not ever notice any bots in Diamond or Legend.
They are also around diamond 5 also. I have seen them.
gold plat bots confirmed. Same names. Same time to think, same decks, same stupid decisions, reactions.
I play against them too, 4 of 5 are bots. And they always win. Because of this, there is no desire to play.
Bots sign of dead game? I am not investing in expansion, too many ridiculous cards that will make game more unfun and frustrating
Glad Diablo IV is close

Nothing new, i wonder how many threads mods deleted becouse of that topic. Rng is rigged, you will mostly have ur best rng against bots.
