i get that you are frustrated but it isn't that easy, like ofcourse certain cards seem strong before hand and afterwards should have been tweaked but check out literally every expansion and beforehand every single streamer/youtuber gets alot of so called '' strong '' cards wrong. They seem strong before they get released and then when they actually come into the game they arent that strong, there alot of cards that we all called way too powerful but then they never saw play outside of arena
While its true that it can be genuinely difficult to predict which cards end up being strong, that's often a consquence of whether you know in advance the deck they end up in and the meta that that deck is expected to perform in. A 10 mana "you win" card never see's play if games don't go past 6 mana, and an amazing overpowered warrior legendary wont currently see play because warrior is terrible right now (it would have to singlehandedly win games).
In this case we had a deck which was already performing resonably well (cetainly tier 1/2) and Blizz printed a more reliable evolve card (eliminating the chance of low-roll evolves) AND a much better minion to evolve gnoll into - a minion which also snowballs through mana cheating if left alive. Even just having the option of two more 1-mana evolve cards increases the viability of the deck by incresing consistency of the mulligan/early draw.
This was obvious before the cards were officially released and now we're back to a deck vs counter-deck meta (which is not fun).
I'll be honest and say that I would play the deck if I actually enjoy it that is. I am so sick of the evolve mechanic ever since its introduction. Evolve this evolve that. This is not a WoW Shaman class, it is some lazy shit the designers keep spewing out to avoid having any actual brainstorm session with the Shaman Class.
If I have to guess, the designers' boner for the evolve mechanic is that it makes filler and meme cards see play and if they see play, it justifies the cost they spent on voicelines and artworks to the shareholders.
I've got turn 2 Thaddius'd 3 times today. It's like Switcheroo Priest all over again, but way worse. The deck is sitting at a disgusting 68% legend winrate.
Was there ever a point in HS long history where the wasn't a loophole for a bunch of opportunistic parasites to exploit? Would toning down the power creep help manage wild game swings?
It's funny how after fix to Blazing Transmutation, you don't really meet Shaman at high legend because Rogue and DK just don't allow Shaman to exist there.
Shaman is toxic AF at the moment. a T3 8/8 which deathrattle summon an 8/8 is just game over in most cases. Or indeed the 10 mana minion that makes you summon odd costs minions for just 1 mana. It's rediuclous to have that at turn 3.
I rarely post here or care for "nerf this" posts, but Thaddius on turn 4 and then Brukan Hero + more 10 drops on turn 5 was not fun.... seriously the designers on HS are incompetent retards (yes that toxic) , they never test their cards or how soon "busted" cards can come into play sooner than they should. The fact blazing evolution lets you discover is just stupid, increase the cost or make it enemy only... think when rotation happens and the pool of 10 mana minions is even less....
the fact blazing evolution lets you discover is just stupid
No, the fact that Gnoll counts as a 10 mana minion even if it is played for 1 is stupid. It (and similar cards) should retain their casting cost and evolve accordingly
Blazing evolution isn't fantastic if you evolve a 2 drop into a 3

The deck would be pretty bad if that was the case but i think it’s perfectly fine for certain decks to die (Deathrattle Rogue)
It’s cause priest is super annoying and ramp druid and evolve shaman is superhighroll decks any time they are around tier 1, also for the last 3-4 years the same could be said about rouge, rouge is no longer a class that requires skill to pilot but a manacheating atrocity
It's because you're obtuse. No class completely dominating is fun. You're just stating the classes you don't like.

The Blizzard Staff are just very stupid people.
Just print a really bad 11-cost card. Now the gnoll will only be able to transform into that.
There wouldn’t be any point. Goldshire Gnoll is part of United in Stormwind so by the time they would print such a card it would rotate out

I think Goldshire Gnoll is gone though which will kill the deck in it's current form
They could easily change the mana cost of one of the giants to 11 in a hotfix. You still get an 8/8, but with no effects.
