There are a lot of good Shaman decks. Just because they aren't popular enough to appear in meta rankings doesn't mean they don't. I suggest checking any pro players' twitter accounts. They often share their self-made decks there and they are often very good, despite Hsreplay claiming that that specific archetype shouldn't even exist.
Are you kidding me? Tri spell freeze shaman is the deck I hit legend with this season. It matches up insanely good into everything almost. Mech mage, mech Paladin, pirate warrior, Druid all flood the board that you can just freeze over and over.
And it runs a lot of early came control as well. Noooooo idea what you’re talking about, unless you misspelled priest.
Is this a really well disguised troll? Shamans are in an even better place than they were prior to the expansion. Quickest I have climbed to legend since the tempo/flamewaker mage days. Tech 1 card, win every single game against priest, use freeze package with a bit extra card draw win 80% of games against mech and the tempo hunter that I have seen 5-6 times now. If you run the 5 heal reduce a spells cost by 2 card quest hunter has trouble getting its reach before you finish.
I am so confused how this is a topic in one of the fairest strong shaman metas (where its not just shaman running over everything else).
Freeze shaman is still pretty solid, it stomp on mech mage, and probably beats pirate warrior with the right list, which are two of the top decks right now. (I played it at rank2 for a while with a list that's probably suboptimal (with the multicaster package))
Wouldn't recommend if you've never played control, cause it feels more like control than combo deck. Oh, and if you're facing a lot of DH I'd so some tweaks cause that's the weak matchup IMO.
freeze shaman still completely dominates. I’d argue it’s better then last meta with this meta so focused on tempo decks. Not only that, it’s soooo much easier to kill them now because of the new spell damage card. Bioluminescence.

Ayo what's your deck list? I have been looking for a strong deck to try out
Shaman need a mass hex and they woukd be in a great spot. If you lose board and cant freeze opponents its game over. Im olaying a fun naga freeze shaman and running juat above 50% WR
Burn/Freeze Shaman is still great, it's the 4th-5th best archetype at the moment because of how good it is at beating the current meta. Good Ramp Druid players are tough but that's about it.
And what I like about the deck is that it's fair. There are no out of the blue OTKs, just good old board control. Also, any deck can counter Shaman even without hard removal through Smothering Starfish.
I got a decent control colossal shaman with freeze stuff. To finish the game of I’m running 2 bloodlusts (hope that’s the english name), the give ur minions 3 attack spell. Works pretty well. Quick tipp: if mech mages board is full and u freeze it, mecha shark can‘t deal damage;)
Shaman was doing well the first few days but I started seeing every single druid teching Starfish (silence all) and it literally destroys the class because they unfreeze giants and hit you for lethal if you havent found bioluminescence plus clear by the time they drop the giants. These games are at 1800-2200 legend. Its good into everything else board related tbh.
Whatever version of Freeze/burn shaman you play in this meta is pretty much useless.
Its too slow and easily beat by your opponent keeping the board clear of minions,Even mech mage now simply holds on to
their minions so then can dump quickly, bypassing any response you might be able to make.
Instead of just giving shaman spells they must be scrolled and its so random that it can fail in giving you what you need.
Shaman has plenty of viable decks right now. Quest, Burn, Highlander, Murloc/Token, and you can throw the freeze package in any one of those.

Since the expansion dropped its been my experience that most of the decks that people play on ladder
recognize F/B shamans currently weakness and know how to exploit it.
Never heard of Tri-spell shaman,if you have a list I would love to try it out.
Grats on legend thou!
Those decks do exist but I respectfully disagree that they are viable on ladder.
Most of the shaman decks I have encounter are some version of F/B

While not as good as pre-expansion, freeze shaman is decent. The problem I usually face is lack of board clear until you can get there.
Shaman is actually pretty fun, currrently on D5 without playing too much. Stomping on Quest Warriors, Mech Mage is easy matchup too.

I'm not Paul George, I'm just a fan.
I think you’re playing shaman wrong friend…

hell, even the token shaman isn’t terrible.
Classic example of people crying the first day of launch lol

If starfish becomes meta however, shaman is in trouble.
