I’m glad this is the first expansion I haven’t pre ordered. I’m personally just tired of the fact that aggro has infinite gas. How the hell is something else going to ever be truly playable when every aggro deck just has infinite card reload but can also kill you turn 5… Aggro is suppose to have a serious chance of losing when you get to turn 6+ Due to running out of resources. And that just isn’t the case any more and hasn’t been for a while.
They need to start dishing out 6mana 5/20’s with taunt and battle cry heal for 10. Cause that’s the only way someone can keep up with the limitless tools all aggro decks have to keep up pressure.
so I guess I’m saying that aggro needs a hard nerf to ALL card draw.
So they brought back a card, it's called Reno Jackson . It single handedly destroys most aggro decks if you can draw it by turn 6.
It has to be this. Wild is filled with this bullshit deck, you just die on turn 4. Back to battlegrounds until this gets fixed. Boar is probably just going to have to be removed.
Is it not crazy that after every release, expansion and middle set, we are always waiting for the nerfs?
I mean, the game is already out and everything should be already in balance, tested and working.
This is a thing that makes me mad about this game. Have you in mind other games-companies that sell their games, make the consumers test these games and then nerf everything? I don't have any in mind. Testing is a company's cost and not a consumer's cost. Yes, because this is a cost for consumers, in time and because when you craft something you always risk finding the deck destroyed for a one-card nerf. And even worst this seems a marketing strategy. Releasing obviously broken cards in order to increase the sale and then nerf everything. But I mean, who purchased, bought the broken cards, not the nerfed ones.
For me is crazy this behaviour, one time can happen, but not in every expansion and middle set within 2-4 weeks.
Just because we take nerfs for granted, given the past, is madness.
It's impossible for a company to balance test a TCG expansion to perfection, it's a small group of people with very limited time, therefore they focus on extreme cases, yet some of those slip by from time to time. It is way more efficient and intelligent to focus your efforts into quickly identify and fix problems after the product is available to the public.
It happens to every single game, it doesn't matter it's age, prestige or quality, MTG has busted metas, Yugioh has busted metas, Pokemon has busted metas, Runeterra has busted metas, Gwent has busted metas, Vanguard has busted metas, Shadowverse has busted metas......

That is a product of a live service game. more content usually means more balancing. The response time of the balance changes haven't been as good as they once were 2 years ago. I'm sure once the meta settles we will see what needs nerfing. I hope they do some buffs as well because there are some classes that have the cards for unplayed archetypes that need a little bit of help to become viable.
The response time I agree that it is far better than 2 years ago or more or with Brode. But before there was also less necessity to nerfs. And yes the game is more active for sure, but also much more costly. Pre-orders, battle pass, things in the battleground, portraits, mercenaries, middle expansions and so on. They have a lot of sources of revenue. Anyway. The idea that HS is selling 4 expansions per year, for a cost of 4 Triple-A games and we are here hoping for nerfs, drive me crazy, because everything should already be working. And also, let's look at the reality. What is the cost of developing a new expansion of HS? I mean, you need some ideas, some designers, some voice actors and some programmers, it is very cheap, not even comparable with the costs of a Triple-A game that might involve years of development with a lot of workers, and anyway, HS costs much more for the final consumer than any Triple-A game. But? HS is not even tested. And we are here forecasting the ways to adjust the game. Ok.

Well if people keep feeding them money with no pushback every mini-set, Battlegrounds skin, board, pre-order track etc. , then the feeders complaining deserve what they get.
Maybe curse warlock. Braindead deck. Doesn't require any player interaction.
I doubt it. B tier deck at best and I’d put it C tier tbh. It’s just super slow and it’s healing comes to late to deal with agro. With control priest will always out heal it, spell Druid out does it with armor, and control warrior the same.

Honestly I think everyone has a playable deck. Hunter has 2 with big and quest. Shaman has freeze. Druid has token and spell. Mage has mech. Paladin has mech. Warrior has pirate. Rogue has pirate.
now warlock and priest don’t have any crazy A tier decks atm, but still playable. And let’s tbh, the hearthstone never loses their shit more then when a priest deck becomes meta haha.

Let me know if you still have questions.
Nah, you have to clear and use Reno the same turn . If mech mage have a board it pretty meaningless to full heal after turn 6.
For the first time in ages there is nothing truly breaking the game but its obvious that the Two mech decks (Mage/Paladin) and Pirate Warrior package is just too strong because they don't run out of resources. Pirate Warrior though is the obvious target because its an "old deck", its probably the strongest deck of the Tier 1 decks and Blizzard does like to nerf "old" decks to sell new packs.
You can hit all these 3 decks by making amalgam of the deep 3 mana 2/4 which will cause a 3 drop gut in the current deck lists and that alone will really knock down the resource spam for these 3 decks.
That being said I could see pirate warrior questline requiring yet another step for its final stage (up to 3). Personally I don't think Mr. Smite should exist like it does in it current state but that is too much to change but adding another step should slow down the deck.
I don't think shark is a problem in Mech Mage at this point. The problem are the neutrals spamming unlimited resources before dropping the shark. I rather hit the neutrals that fuel the resource spam before getting into the class cards. That being said I do wish they add some "pack filler" mechs/pirates to the core set, not for viability, but to dilute the chances of chain pulling Mr. Smites/Sharks due to the lack of cards but that won't happen but I could dream.
Other than that I don't see anything to blatant for standard but I really wish Boar be dispatched once again...that thing keeps causing so many issues and like the Mr. Smite example above, only this time on steroids, shouldn't even exist for wild due to turn 2/3 kills
amalgam of the deep offers too much flexibility and value at its current cost
Personally I would nerf each and every. I miss having 10 mana crystals.
Mech Mage, almost impossible to control it. Endless draw and discover. Never runs out of resources and deathrattles make it extremely hard to clear.
It has to be this. Wild is filled with this bullshit deck, you just die on turn 4. Back to battlegrounds until this gets fixed. Boar is probably just going to have to be removed.
Mech mage is countered well with freeze shaman.
Quest hunter can eventually run out of value due to weak draw or armor/healing.
But, hell, Mr. freaking Smite drives me crazy... A charge is just too broken imo

100% agree. Freeze shaman a top tier deck right now for sure. Hard counters all the Agro decks.

Mech mage is gonna be hard to beat once it is perfected.
unless we see nerfs it’s only going to get stronger.
I'm gona bet Quest Hunter or Naga Mage once ppl learn how to play it
Got beaten by the same thing... how is that possible. Nothing played by him, and he got a 20/20 boar

Vs Burn deck like Quest hunter then Reno is good
Pirate Warrior 100%
